Finally! Time for my OC lore.
This story contains various triggering topics (which I need to censor as per TikTok policy) included but not limited to:

I don’t romanticize of glorify any of the topics mentioned here and I wish for you to do the same.
My story follows two of my OCs, Nora and Noah Miller. They were conceived from a rather problematic relationship that their dad had with their mom. Their dad, Joseph, met a foreigner in Europe named Karolina (Polish descend) who he lied to about being rich and influential back in America despite being a low life drunk who stole and did dirty dealings for a living. She flew with him to America after falling for his charm where he basically got rid of all of her legal documents so she couldn’t leave him. The twins were both conceived after that fact, with Noah being a surprise since they thought they were only going to have one child, which is why the picking of his name was so similar to Nora’s and met with dismissal.
When they were growing up, Noah got diagnosed with autism at the age of 4 years, with Joseph being less than happy about it and taking his frustrations out on his son due to his ableism. He clearly favored Nora and adopted the “golden child scapegoat” dynamic since Nora listened relatively well and never got into trouble whilst Noah constantly acted out.
Nora was emotionally manipulated and groomed (non-sexual grooming) to just keep her compliant and make her not form other relationships since he wanted to keep her under his thumb. Noah didn’t pick up on this and since he was often physically abused, he assumed Nora was the favorite which made him resent her greatly. When they were about 12 years old Noah decided to start and bully Nora both physically and mentally, which lasted up until highschool.
Noah became a high school jock and got a girlfriend named Charlotte (a nice Christian girl whom he met during their chemistry tutoring sessions). He let his guard down around her to the point where she was his only exception and often unmasked in front of her since he got so used to masking frequently.
Meanwhile, Nora was mostly self-isolating and had no friends. She was an easy target for bullying due to her interests in the supernatural, plants and bugs, which Noah exploited often.
The breaking point for Nora was prom, where she didn’t go whilst Noah had a great time. I think that’s when she realized that in the grand scheme of things, people can be happier and less horrible with her around. So, two weeks after, she attempted to take her own life. Noah was there on the roof at that time and managed to pull her back, saving her life. But as they took her to the mental hospital, he just stared, realized his actions had consequences that he failed to consider before. Nora was omitted to a mental hospital where she stayed until she was 20, never really finishing her highschool education. This made her unable to get a job as she resulted to petty theft and or hitchhiking to get by
You don’t know spooky month? Don’t worry, I got you. All you need to know is that there’s a cult, a town and monsters. That’s the basic knowledge we want to go in with. Oh and it also takes place in 2012-2013. Also also the show hasn’t been finished yet (episodes come out yearly and right now the creator is working on episode 7, so some things I say are speculation / my own interpretation okay? Okay.)
Basically what happened with Nora was that after a while of hitchhiking rides she stumbled upon this town and got a job as a secretary to Evermore (he’s like the mayor of the town. Picture Chip Whistler but more narcissistic somehow (his first name is quite literally Narciso)). For that position no high school education was required (the standards were low) but Nora managed to outdo them. They were in a situationship and were on and off. This wasn’t a really healthy relationship due to the age gap (he’s in his late 40s, she was 24 at the time) and also the job positions they were both in. She saw him as greater than he actually was because he, in her words, “took pity on someone as worthless as her” whilst he just kept her up with that notion since it fed his ego.
When they started to date (secretly of course, but it was one of those secrets where a lot of people knew) he got her to join his cult worshipping this entity called “Eyes of the universe”.
There she met about two more people she was on good terms with, one of them being Garcia (he’s relevant I swear). Basically what’s important to know about him is that he’s the Mayor’s lawyer and also a high rank cult member. He’s kind of like the dad figure she never had because I love the found family trope and it will be relevant shush
She’s been by his side for 4 years before he died (Spooky month didn’t kill him off yet but shhhh). After that Nora found out she was pregnant and decided to keep the baby since she in her mind “would have no one else.”
Despite at first hating her child she’s grown to realize that she really doesn’t want to be like her mother and wants to do things right. That’s also when she realized that maybe the town wasn’t the best thing for her daughter (the cult dismantled and all the members kept their identities hidden, so no one actually got arrested, but since Nora knew who was behind those masks she knew who to avoid and she knew who she wouldn’t want her child, Nathalie near.)
She really wanted to leave since the cult was basically gone but she had no place left to go. Garcia, like the totally not morally corrupt lawyer he is, pulled some strings and finally made it look like she actually finished high school like she was meant to. And with that, her and Nathalie headed out to live in Big City
Nora and Nathalie settled in Big City 5 years before the greens moved in (since spooky month concluded in 2013 + 5 = 2018 which is when the show came out)
Nora got a job as a retail worker but quickly ascended to the ranks of a manager / store owner. She was still under a corporate chain but had a certain amount of freedom which she enjoyed. She also got the former manager’s apartment above the store which she moved into from their crummy shared apartment (those kinds where you share a kitchen and bathroom with 3 people)
Nora was pretty much a workaholic to the point where she could manage this mid sized store alone, which is why she was the only employee there.
Nora was still relatively emotionally unavailable and socially inept, just like she always has been, but she always smiles the brightest and seems the happiest when she’s with her daughter
Nathalie was a pretty responsible kid for her age in the sense that she would just casually walk around the big city at night and come back with stories about some homeless men she encountered near a makeshift bonfire at night. Nora isn’t concerned with this since Nathalie always came back with no issue and she was able to keep an eye on her as well.
I also want to say that Nathalie fucked with people a lot. She just found it funny to say something that would raise her eyebrows just for funsies
Which is how Nora met Bill.
It was the first week the Greens moved to Big City when Bill noticed Nathalie walking by and asking her where her parents were since she was a literal five year old walking without supervision. And like the massive troll she was, Nathalie started crying and acting like she was lost and wanted to find her mom. Bill fell for this and spent the whole day trying to find this little girl’s mom just for Nathalie to bring him to the store and loudly announced: “Mom, I found you a husband now you don’t have to be sad about dad being dead!”
Nora didn’t even react since this happened multiple times before, just awkwardly giving Bill some free produce from her makeshift meat station as “compensation”. Despite this rocky start their relationship developed to a pretty solid friendship which was confusing to Nora. She tried to push Bill away when she started to catch feelings out of fears of being intimate, but eventually decided to bottle it up and just remain friends since she didn’t want to blow it.
Now for her relationship with Chip since these two also have a certain development throughout the series.
Nora met Chip before he even met the Green family when he waltzed into her store and asked if she could sell him that little piece of property since he was looking to expand Wholesome foods and wanted to prove to his dad that he could be CEO one day.
Now I want to make something clear- that retail store, despite seeming pretty small and uninteresting, was everything Nora ever wanted- it was her finally being able to prove that she could make it on her own, it was managed by her for about 80% and she spent 5 years making it her second home. So she obviously told Chip off which he didn’t appreciate.
In season 2 it gets messy since in Chipwrecked he decided to buy the supermarket chain she was under to become her boss boss, so she had to take orders from him. He was smug about it as well, Nathalie calling her mom out on just easily caving in whilst Nora just wanted to preserve what they built even on the expense of her store and pride.
Though after the Greens were gonna have their house bulldozed and further provocation from Chip, Nora snapped and punched him so hard that his tooth chipped, sacrificing her job to finally not stand aside and watch people she cared about get hurt. After Bill saw this he confessed his feelings and they started dating
Then when Chip comes back he kidnaps Nora and tells her he knows about the cult and that either she’ll join him and help him take down the Green family, or he’s going to tell them what she really is.
She escapes and since she didn’t want to do either, she told Nathalie to pack her bags as they went back to their former home. Up until Undercover family she’s absent, Bill thinking she moved away without a word and being heartbroken until finding out the truth (let’s be honest this man would still love her even if she was an ex cult member) then they find each other and make out and stuff I don’t know I haven’t gotten this far. I know I want Nora to have a demon form and I know I want Nora to kick Chip’s ass so hard the order of the fang switches and she doesn’t know what to with them so she just… asks if they want to go work in retail instead of going to prison (Viper fang would babysit Nathalie idc)
So after Nora got into that mental hospital Noah (who was 17 at the time) tried his best to get his life back on track. He really wanted to go to college to become a football star, but then ran into an issue regarding Charlotte. Turns out that after prom night she was pregnant, telling Noah this and hoping he’ll react accordingly. So he left her with that child to pursue his college dream and future career
And at the age of 22 he did become a star until he was about 28 when he had a sports related injury that left him being unable to run or walk long distances without a cane. This and his inability to preserve money and drinking away his problems left him broke, him having no one to turn to and eventually ending up in the Spooky month town (the town doesn’t have an actual name and I’m way too bothered by this)
He tries to get his life back on track by getting an office job, finding two boyfriends (police officers from the show that only had like a second of screentime, Shotgun Man and Captain), quitting alcohol, getting a new hobby (rock and scene music) and deciding to co-parent with Charlotte after he found out that she kept their kid. Him and his daughter Sonya have a surprisingly good relationship despite it being awkward initially, and he tries to be a better person than he was. When Nora comes back to the town after 5 years they meet again and try to be on civil terms, so yeah
