Brainwasher - Doug Foster 2012 . From Doug - A single, empty chair sits in the middle of a darkened room. Leather restraining straps hang ready from the arms, legs and head rest of its sturdy steel frame. The only illumination in the room comes from a narrow beam of light from the ceiling and the relentless, rippling imagery being projected on the wall in front of the chair. The only sound, a monotonous, liquid drone. . ‘Conjuroring’ - Futura 2000 . Waiting for over ten years to bring order to my archives means it is taking quite some time but it does have some great benefits. I am finding frames that have laid dormant in forgotten files and this is one such image. . I arrived at @futuradosmil studio as the countdown began to the relaunch of the @futuralaboratories web store - the afternoon had an excitement in the air, a rainy New York day was spent with lots of chatting, plenty of exploring the studio and for good measure some fast pace racing thanks to Need for Speed. Sahara Sunrise . Early last Tuesday it was snowing heavily when we left the house. When I returned just before sunrise it had stopped snowing and the light above Bandak had a bright Mars like orange glow unlike any sunrise I’ve seen here before. Lucy Mclauchlan - The Gambia 2010 . One of my favourite paintings from Lucy, the birds look so at home in their setting. @lucymclauchlan . Back in 2010 I was invited to the Wide Open Walls project at its home in The Gambia. After a nanosecond of thought I said yes to my first visit to Africa - not my last. It was and still is the most enriching project I have ever been involved with. . Nothing could prepare me for the week ahead. Travelling by dugout along the river artists would travel to the village of Kubuneh and spend the daylight hours with the local people painting. I would spend my day exploring the village and catching up with each artist as they worked. More often than not I would have a tour of the farm and have mint tea with the family - it was compulsory! . Herakut in Aberdeen . Back in 2017 @herakut painted this huge mural on The Green in the Center of the granite city for @nuartaberdeen. I of all people should know that street art is ephemeral but it’s still sad to know this beautiful painting is being torn down with the building that it graced but that is the price of progress. ‘Uncharted Territory’ . I took this photo a few weeks back during a morning out with my neighbour Magnus and his dog team @proven_husky. This was my first time dog sledding but it certainly wasn’t my last. Since that day we’ve travelled much further and wow what a way to experience a Norwegian winter. A landscape where islands only accessible by boat become stopping points on journeys across huge frozen lakes surrounded by untouched nature for as far the eye can see. .
