San Francisco, I'm really missing you.
Misty morning at winter's end.
I've been rediscovering the Pennsylvanian suburbs. It's amazing how you think you know a place but a quick glimmer, a fleeting second shows you some beauty you've never noticed before. This scene above allowed me to see a familiar sight in a new light--literally and figuratively.
It helps to go away from a place for awhile and return. Whenever I travel, everything looks grand and exciting because of its novelty. It is sometimes best to see through the eyes of a visitor. You'll encounter your same "boring stomping grounds," as if you're being introduced for the first time.

This is from a journey to North Carolina in 2012. I went by this old abandoned house almost everyday during my visit. Each time, I was captivated by it. Its simplistic beauty and its isolation drew me in. The sun shone beautifully the last day I was there as I captured this picture.
Abandoned is never forgotten. It's just waiting to be seen.
