I usually get weird looks when I tell people I love cemeteries. Most people think that my fascination with cemeteries is a little creepy.

I’m a bit obsessed with cemeteries. I actually seek them out when I travel. Since I don’t want to bog down my official blog @wandering-jana with the insane amount of photos I have from cemeteries, I decided to start this side blog.

An extremely rainy day in the Cimitero di Sant'Anna.

Tomb of James Graham, 1st Marquess of Montrose (1612 – 21 May 1650). He was a Scottish nobleman who supported Charles I during the English Civil War. He was later executed in 1650 by the English parliament. His head was displayed at the Old Toll Booth by St. Giles Cathedral for about 11 years. His other remains were scattered around Scotland. His remains were brought back together and he was interred in St. Giles Cathedral in 1661.

Montrose's right arm was never reunited with his body. The arm was first nailed to a gate in the city of Dundee. Then it made its way to England. Here's a photo.

Few more pics in the Rosehill Mausoleum. The hallways gave off Phantasm vibes! Kept expecting The Tall Man to step out and yell "BOY!!"

And we did find John G Shedd's crypt, he was the founder and creator of the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.
