What exercise is to me.

Long ago now it was about looks

Now it’s about life.

Keeping a demon chronic disease at bay

Living on my terms

Living my life as I want to

Being able to move and being damn grateful for it.

I move my body to be able to keep moving my body

Exercise is how I keep being able to be me

That’s how I stay moving when my motivation is nil

I remember how lucky I am to keep moving and breathing.

The Path Ahead

Realizing the path ahead is not new or unknown, only un-trod

Avoided for fear of discord

Tampered down my energy to to be “too much” but I am too much

Too much for anyone unworthy of my radiant energy.

I glow from within like the sun

I can heal with my energy .. green/blue the colors of dusk before the dark.

The cool healing hues that adorn my soul

They shall spread out like wings and push through my self made cage, my veil of needing to fit in

To not ruffle feathers or stand out.

It shall fall in shreds as I rise above my old self and become who I was be all those millennia ago.
