It could have been fate that put you in the right place, and the right time, for the most amazing - and bizarre - experience you've ever had.
Struggling to make it as a stage assistant, you were hired by a very mysterious, anonymous band that you already admired. With a whole tour in front of you, you have more than enough time to get to know the men behind those masks, and understand how painfully human each of them is. You have more than enough time to fall for each of them, in different, unique ways.
It is hard to figure out what fate means by it when it puts you between such distinct, but wonderful choices. Four of them, no less.

A/N.: Hello, lovies! We're getting closer to final run, and I'm savoring every bit of word. This is a sweet little bridge before things get tense again. I love III, and I hope you guys have as much fun reading this chapter as I had writing it. Things haven't been easy, and writing, and knowing that there are people enjoying it, has been bringing me an insane amount of joy, so thank you for all the support!

The bunk curtain being pulled with a harsh yank woke you up. You had to shield your eyes from the morning sun, and your blurred vision only made out the tall, lean silhouette in front of you. Tall and lean, it had to be III.ย
"Rise and shine, princess," his slightly high pitched voice called you. "We're arriving at the hotel, you should put your shirt back on."
Before you could grumble an impolite response, a pillow flew over your head and hit III right in the face.ย
"I'm gonna shove something up your ass if you don't close that shit right now," II murmured calmly, pulling your body closer to him and nuzzling into your hair.ย
"Don't threaten me with a good time, little one," III snickered, his long fingers wrapping around your wrist, tugging you softly. "Come on, you had her all to yourself for too long now."
"I'm not a doll for you to share, III," you complained, trying to turn your back to him, chasing the comfortable darkness.
III tutted. "Are you not interested in what I have in store for our day off together?"
You cracked one eye open and looked at his amused face, a smile slowly blooming on your lips.ย
"What are you planning, huh?"
"You'll have to find out, won't you, Giggles," he snickered again. "Come on, we're almost there."
Sitting up carefully so you wouldn't hit your head on Vessel's bunk on top of you, you pushed your legs out to stretch. Behind you, II shifted and hoisted himself up on one arm. You turned to him to see him rubbing his eyes.ย
The drummer approached you, and started kissing the back of your neck.ย
"I hate this bus thing," he commented in between kisses. "We should be in a proper bedroom, to sleep at our hearts content."
Your hand shot up to caress the hair on the back of his neck, making him let out satisfied sounds. You giggled. "Sleep, huh? Right."
The huffed laugh against the skin of your neck made you shiver.ย
"Eventually."
"Yeah," you chuckled, pretending he didn't affect you the way he did. "We'd also need food and water sometimes."
"That's why I said a proper bedroom," he kissed your shoulder, pulling on the strap of your bra with his teeth and letting it go with a snap. "In a proper house."
"Mmm," you merely hummed, allowing yourself to just be kissed and caressed.ย
"I think you'd like my home," he considered, kissing back up from your shoulder to your neck. "It isn't anything fancy, but it's cozy, and very private."ย
"Your home?," you repeated, gulping and turning back to face him.ย
"Mhm," he simply confirmed, delicately pulling you to lay back down. "Ves has a bigger house, but it's also messier," II chuckled at his own joke. "Isn't that right, Ves?," he asked louder, looking up to wait for a response from the top bunk.ย
"Fuck you," Vessel responded, lighthearted. "Listen, I'm a creative soul. Cleaning too much is... Distracting. My house has character."
II snorted. "Yeah, right."
"You'll have to let her decide which one she likes best," Vessel said, playfully bitter.ย
"I already know which one she'll love," IV answered from the back, as if you weren't there.
"Yeah, me too," the singer said, a smile clear in his voice.ย
You would've asked which one they thought you would like best, if it wasn't for the fact that your mind couldn't move past from the word "home". You had been avoiding thinking about anything related to what would happen after the tour, and you've been relatively successful at that, only feeling that dreadful sensation every now and then, especially at the end of concerts. A slightly harsher bite on your collarbone made you jolt slightly.ย
"Are you still with me, love?," II asked.ย
"You'd want to take me there?," you blurted. "Your home, I mean?"
At first, II picked up his head and chuckled incredulously, but his expression soon softened and he kissed your jaw again.ย
"Of course," he said softly. "I was hoping that you'd want to join us there after the tour."
Your teeth sank on your bottom lip, and you shook your head in disbelief. II rubbed his thumb over your lip to make you release it, his eyebrows slightly drawn together in a subtle frown.ย
"No?," he asked very quietly. "What's wrong?"
"When?," you asked with a thread of a voice. "Supposing I'd go. When?"
II shrugged. "I'd suggest you'd just go home to grab whatever you need, and jump on the next flight..."
Suddenly, you went very quiet. Your heart wanted to explode in happiness, it wanted to feel the relief from finally hearing some kind of plan for the future. But a part of you insisted that it just sounded so silly.ย
They were rockstars. Would you really believe him? That you would go back home just to grab a few more coats and underwear, and jump on a flight to England to meet them?ย
And then what? You would live happily ever after, the five of you?ย
When the curtain is called, they would go back to their lives, to the people they really loved, to women who looked much better than you, and you would become a faint memory of a hard working roadie who kept IV's rig working and their beds warm. Being discarded after the lights go out was part of the job. The live production was pure magic, making dreams become reality, your job consisted in materializing a vision for the talent and the public.ย
But it was temporary, and disposable. And after everything, you would go back to having your worth measured by how many cables you could snap into place in a five minute span.ย
II's blue eyes scanned your face with intensity, as if each second that passed without an answer from you broke his heart even further. "That is, if you want, of course," he said. "I don't want to pressure you if this doesn't make any sense to you."
You wanted to either laugh or cry, maybe both. Your hands ran up to his face, caressing the soft stubble he had there. Your heart felt like it would fold in itself, twisting, turning, hurting with your incapability of believing that they would want to drag you with them after the lights go out.ย
There was the option to tell them your insecurities right then, let II comfort you, or allow Vessel to reassure you. You didn't. You just laid there, spiriling inside, smiling on the outside.ย
"I'd like that...," you managed to squeak out. "But I need you to be sure before you actually invite me," he opened his mouth to reply in haste, on an impulse, seemingly entirely bothered by your doubt, but you placed your fingers on his lips. "You don't need to reassure me, just think about it. Please. We don't have to talk about home now. We have a tour to finish."
There was a flurry of emotions behind his eyes. Anger, sadness, excitement, the sheer want to be believed.
But he settled with patience, and understanding, and he tried to find comfort in the idea that he still had time to show you he meant it.ย
"I am sure," he said calmly, removing your hand from his mouth after kissing your knuckles. "We are sure. We've talked about it. But you don't have to believe me, just give me the chance to prove it."
The lump in your throat grew bigger. Again, you remembered what you felt while Vessel sang Missing Limbs the night before. You were going to tell him you loved himโand that was either a big mistake or the best thing you could've done.ย
But at that moment, painfully sober under the washed out light of the morning, the courage escaped you. There was too much pressure, to be pinned under II's eyes, feeling like you would be dragged under his ocean at any moment. He released you from his grasp with a soft laugh, dropping his weight beside you.ย
"I won't go anywhere," you said, smiling at him.ย
"Good," he said, caressing your face. "Now let's get out of this shit hole, yeah? III is gonna bite me if I keep you for longer, and not in the fun way."
After that, you hopped off the bunk and pulled your shirt on as the bus came to a halt. II left his bunk afterwards, walking past you to gather the things he would take to his hotel room. While you were zipping your own bag up, Vessel hopped off his top bunk.ย
You looked at your song bird with worry, and he smiled softly at you.
"Good morning, angel," he said, wrapping his arms around you with warmth.ย
"Good morning," you mumbled, unable to smile back, pressing your face against his chest. "How are you, Ves? Are you okay?"
His head dropped on top of yours.ย
"I am," his voice came muffled by your hair. "I'm sorry I made you worry. I was just being silly."
"Tell me what you were thinking of when you asked if I'm happy with the work," you demanded, one second away to admit you thought about it the whole night.ย
"I will, later," he said. "Let us relax a little, yeah? Have our two days off, and enjoy each other's company without having to worry about work or sneak out for five minutes to be together before someone notices we are missing."
God, that idea felt good. You smiled and nodded. IV came up from behind you, took your bag from you, and Vessel escorted you out of the bus. You were trying to get used to the fact that the whole crew stared at you at all times now, and while it definitely wasn't easy, the fact that you couldn't look away from your boys definitely helped.ย
IV walked in front of you carrying your bag, being followed by II, and Vessel walked beside you. The singer didn't hold your hand, but sometimes he would squeeze your wrist lightly, as if just to check if you were still there. III was already getting his keycard at the front desk of the hotel, but you saw him hand his key and duffle bag to IV.ย
The bassist turned on his heel and started walking back to the entrance of the hotel, but he stopped beside you before heading out.ย
"I'm gonna head to town to get something important," he said, a little too mysterious for your taste. "Be ready, Giggles, I'm coming to get you in forty minutes."
You frowned at him. "Going to get what? And where are we going?"
"Curiosity killed the cat," he simply answered, shoving his hands in the pockets of his pinstripe pants and leaving through the glass doors.ย
"At least tell me what I should wear!," you yelled at him.ย
He stopped, gave it a thought, and smiled.ย
"Dress simple and comfortable. Oh, and comfortable shoes too," he winked and pulled his mask on, giving his back to you.ย
If it wasn't for Vessel tugging on your hand to pull you towards the elevator, you would've stayed there for a while, stunned, under the snickering of your colleagues who were still in the lobby. Vessel wouldn't have even let you grab a key for your own bedroom if it wasn't for IV stopping both of you by the elevator.ย
"Do you wanna go to your own room, darling?," IV asked carefully. "I don't like that idea, but I don't want you to feel we're crowding you either."
Vessel's hard squeeze on your wrist didn't go unnoticed. You smirked at IV.ย
"What? Already sick of me?," you asked ironically.
He scoffed, jerking his head towards the elevator and holding the door for you. "Get your arse inside, you twat."
You hopped inside giggling, and followed IV to his room after kissing Vessel at his door. The singer said he would take a much needed shower and then find the managers to discuss a few things for the final leg of the tour. IV held the door open for you, and dropped both of your bags by the foot of his bed.ย
When he turned to you, his eyes were soft from exhaustion.ย
"Tour is nearly over," you said, trying to ignore the sting that phrase always caused. "You'll be able to get a proper rest soon."
The guitarist extended his hand to you and smiled. You took it, allowing yourself to be pulled into his embrace.ย
"I will rest when you sleep with me again," he answered, wrapping his arms around you. "You have the perfect body for cuddle, you know that?"ย
"I bet you say that to all the girls," you joked, resting your face on his chest.ย
"Maybe," he chuckled, earning a small pinch from you. "You know what I can't say to any other girl?"
"What?"
"You did a fucking great job rigging that whole stage yesterday," he offered, looking down at you with pride and adoration.ย "I was never this competent in my guitar tech years. Everything was perfect. And I noticed something with the monitor-looms."
A sudden frown took over your face with curiosity.ย
"What about them? Was something wrong?," you asked, suddenly worried.
IV shook his head. "The bundling was perfect. Clean, snag-proof, flush against the jacket. Ever since the first stage you helped set up, I always knew when it was you who did it, and I always knew it was you who did mine."
You gulped, your hand tightened around his, and you shook your head to him.ย
"You noticed that," you said from behind your smile. It wasn't a question.
His eyes turned sharp and amused.ย
"I notice everything you do, darling," he said with a chuckle. "From the wrinkles on your forehead when you don't believe the stuff I say, to the fact you don't even hope to be acknowledged."
Your breath caught in your throat slightly, and you suddenly forgot how tired you were. Your hands went to rest on top of his collarbone, and he let out a slow breath.ย
"IV," you started, frowning slightly.
"Ah, there they are," he smoothed his thumb over the lines of your forehead, the fond smile of someone who knows he isn't taken seriously, and still doesn't care. "I'm gonna let you get ready for your day with III. He'll become a proper pain in the arse if I keep you."
A laugh left your throat when you tilted your head back.ย
"Do you know what he's plotting?," you asked, your eyebrows arched.ย
The chuckle that came from him worried you. "I know better than to tell you, don't I," he mumbled. "And I also remember you owe me a date."
"Oh, you remember that," you playfully rolled your eyes, lightly pushing away from him.ย
"I remember everything," he said, huffing out a breath. "Are you gonna give me the pleasure?"
"Tomorrow," you smiled.ย
He seemed awfully pleased at that.ย
"Tomorrow."
---
You stared at yourself in the mirror, unable to suppress the silly little smile that insisted in pulling at the corners of your mouth. Picking clothes isn't something a roadie is used to do. For the sake of both performance and safety, the uniform is very strict: dark, rigid clothes, like canvas pants and vests, and steel-toed boots.ย
Wearing the soft, worn out t-shirt you usually wear to sleep, with a pair of distressed jeans shorts and high top Converse sneakers felt almost alien. You even picked bright coloured socks that didn't match, because you thought III would be amused by them. Your hands busied themselves by rolling the t-shirt sleeves to up to your shoulders, letting your damp hair down, and putting on a dark berry lip tint.ย
Leaving the room with your small purse only for your phone and wallet and your heart beating in your throat, you met with II by the elevator. The drummer took one look at you, his eyes warm and filled with endearment as he pulled you to stay under his arm during the elevator ride.ย
"You look pretty, love," he said warmly, squeezing your body against his.ย
The heat on your cheeks felt weirdly adolescent. "Thanks. You look... Serious," you motioned to his general direction.ย
II was wearing black from head to toe, but instead of his usual Adidas joggers and loose t-shirts, he was wearing black jeans and a better-fitted cardigan. A slight frown was etched into his forehead, and the line of his shoulders was a little tight. You found it interesting how easily you could read him already.ย
"Management wanted a meeting with all of us," he said, letting out a slow breath from behind his mask. "Vessel and IV are already there."
"IV and III were summoned too?," you frowned. "I didn't know they participated in decisions."
"They don't, not usually," for some reason, II seemed a little unsettled. "Yet, they've been called as well. III said he isn't coming though, you two have your date together."
You scoffed. "He shouldn't do that, I'm gonna talk to him."
II chuckled, amused.ย
"Good luck," he nodded. "You won't be able to make him change his mind, and nor should he. I really doubt it's anything important. I even envy how free he is."
The calmness in his voice irritated you.ย
"You all should take this seriously," you scolded. "It's the final leg of the tour!"
"Exactly," he squeezed your waist. "The whole tour have been going fine until now. There's no reason to change anything. They probably want to discuss something else."
The silence came to you naturally, while you picked at your nails.ย
"Relax, little love," he kissed your temple. "I promise everything is fine. Go have fun at your date."
He jerked his chin towards the open elevator door, and from where you stood you could see III leaning over his elbow on the front desk, distracted by something on his phone. He lifted his head as soon as you stepped out, as if something told him you were coming. You obviously couldn't see his face from behind the black medical mask, but his eyes softened and crinkled slightly at the corners when he saw you.ย
"There you are, Giggles, you look fucking beautiful," he mumbled, giving two fast and large strides towards you, holding your whole head with both of his hands on the sides of your face. In a swift movement, III yanked his mask down and clashed his mouth with yours, kissing you right there in the lobby. "Feels like I've waited forever for this."
The kiss almost distracted you from everything. You giggled like a school girl and touched your lips with the tips of your fingers, but you suddenly remembered you were supposed to be lecturing him.ย
"III," you said, trying to sound serious, yanking his hand lightly. "You have a meeting to attend."
III slumped his shoulders in a dramatic motion.ย
"Come on, don't start with me, Giggles," he begged. "They'll be fine without me."
"II told me they want all of you there," you insisted.ย
The bassist looked daggers towards II, and you couldn't help but laugh.
"Thank you very much, knobhead!," he yelled.ย
II looked amused, raising his hands in a defeated gesture. "I don't keep things from her," he said. "And neither should you."
You crossed your arms in front of your chest and bit on the inside of your cheek, and III looked at you from head to toe with a slight snort.ย
"I wasn't going to!," he defended himself.ย
"When?," you asked, unimpressed. "When were you planning to tell me?"
The fucker scratched the back of his neck and smiled shamelessly.
"Eventually."
Before you could roll your eyes and tell him off, II shooed both of you away.ย
"Go have your date, love, and have fun," he encouraged, heading to hotel's restaurant. "I'll keep you two updated."
"See, if it's important, II will tell me," he said, already pulling you by your wrist. "Come on, I'm starving. Good meeting, little one!"
II waved at you two, and you took one last glimpse at him before being pulled towards the glass doors.ย
---
III shoved you into an Uber and took you to a charming little caffรจ in a hidden alleyway, washed by a warm sunlight. The little hole in the wall III pulled you into smelled like perfectly brewed espresso and melted butter. Your date looked like an angel with his messy bleached hair and blue eyes.ย
Over stacks of blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, and steaming cups of coffee, you remained a little worried about everything, and III noticed it, when he stole a piece of crispy bacon from your plate and didn't receive a slap on the back of the hand for it. Instead, you just looked into an imaginary space while appreciating your coffee.ย
"What's bothering you, Giggles?," he asked in between bites.ย
You shook your head as if coming about from underwater, smiling shyly.ย
"I was just wondering what they're talking about at that meeting," you said quietly from behind your coffee mug.ย
"It can't be anything important, you know how management is," he shrugged casually, sipping on his coffee as well. "They'll probably say we'll need to shorten our load-in time in half an hour or some shit."
He was probably right. You sighed deeply and sat back on your chair.ย
"I love this," you gestured to the establishment around you. "But a part of me still wishes you were there. I think that if there were some bad news, you would be the only one who wouldn't hesitate to tell me everything."
III leaned over the table, resting his head on his hand and looking at you as if you were the most adorable thing in the world.ย
"There are no bad news," he insisted. "And that is not true. No one would ever withhold anything from you."
You finally took a bite from your pancakes.ย
"You're probably right," you admitted.ย
"I'm always right," he shot back, turning his attention back to his eggs.ย
Scoffing, you just sat there for a moment, watching him eat with an infatuated smile, and he seemed to enjoy the attention. Breakfast wasn't amazing just because of the food. It felt strangely domestic, with III telling you about the weird dream he had the night before, something about playing at a concert and realizing he was the only member of the band on stage.ย
It was a stupidly happy moment, being able to share this moment with him, as if you were a normal couple, in a normal vacation away from home, laughing and sharing food. III talked with his mouth full, threw bits of napkins at you, and flirted with you shamelessly. He found an excuse to touch you at least once every three minutes, even if it was just your wrist or to hold your hand over the table.ย
When you were done, he pulled you out of that caffรจ and into the city, and you felt like you were being dragged across every single arcade they had there. III even won you a ridiculous stuffed monsterโpurple fur, unsettling enameled teeth and everythingโon a claw machine, after five aggressive attempts. You had street tacos for lunch, and made out on a secluded park bench until the sun set.ย
III would put your legs over his lap and keep his hand over your thigh. His rough fingers would caress your skin up and down while you talked, and he asked if you were closer to your dad or you mom while growing up. With nightfall, you two fell into a comfortable silence, watching the ripples on a lake from a wooden bench at the park.ย
During the time you spent together, you would never describe III as a calming presence. He seemed to enjoy the noise, the movement. He was loud, overly dramatic, and too honest for his own good, all features you really loved.ย
But at that moment, looking at him slowly blinking under the twinkling lights from the night city, hand stroking your leg, completely silent, you two shared an intimacy that nearly scared you. III must've felt you observing him, slowly turning his head in your direction, blue eyes regarding you half-lidded. Your chest tightened as you lazily smiled at him, your breath leaving your lungs shakily.ย
"Be honest with me, III," you started, not really sure of where you were going with it. "What happens after the last gig? You guys go into hibernation, Vessel and II go back to writing, and then what? What..."
What about me? Where do I fit in all this? Do I stay behind?, was what you wanted to ask.ย
Instead, you let the questions hang in the air until they faded. You've proven to yourself you could be vulnerable, but maybe not that vulnerable yet.ย
"Well, Giggles," he started, taking a deep breath. "WeโI was hoping you would come with. To England, I mean, with us. Ivy said you'd want to go back home first, grab your stuff and whatnot, but if I had a say in it, you'd come straight with us back home, and we would see how things go from there."
There were several emotions twirling around in your stomach at that. They were talking about it amongst themselves, something that by itself felt absurd. III wanted you to leave everything behind to follow them, but he didn't ask you whether you wanted it or not.ย
And we would see how things go from there?ย
"That's really what you want," you quirked an eyebrow, it wasn't exactly a question. "You want me to move into one of your homes? Already?"
You didn't mean to sound as skeptical as you did then, but you couldn't help it. III looked as sure and confident as ever, with that signature smirk and a glimmer in his eyes.ย
"That's exactly what I want," he said with ease. "And not just one of our homes, my home, preferably."
The chuckle that escaped your throat was very spontaneous. You just shook your head at him.ย
"It's not that simple, III," you said very quietly. "I have a life here, I have my workโ"
"But it is, Giggles," he insisted, but his voice dropped to a very gentle, surprisingly understanding tone. "I don't wanna keep you from work. I just want to add you to my life. Don't you want that?"
Your heart leaped. It was impossible to know if you wanted it without knowing what it would cost first, right? Have you even reached the point to actually believe that it was what they wanted?
"I don't know," was the best you could say. "I can't say I want something before knowing what it will cost."
III's expression twisted into a sad mask of rejection, that he was quick and kind enough to brush away.ย
"Yeah, yeah, I get that," he mumbled. "It hurts a bit, but it's reasonable, I suppose. Listen, Giggles, I don't have all the answers, alright? You have three other boyfriends way better at planning ahead than I am. All I know is that I'm not letting you go. As long as you want it too, you won't be rid of me. Right?"
The heat that bloomed into your chest loosened a good portion of the tension you were feeling. Your boyfriends, you thought to yourself, feeling silly and relieved at the same time.ย
"Right," you confirmed, shaking your head.ย
"Alright, come on," he lightly tapped your thigh and got up when you pulled away from him. "I wanna grab dinner and there's one more place I wanna go before we go back."
"Don't you ever stop eating?," you asked, giggling as he pulled at your wrist once again.ย
"You come up with something better than eating and fucking and we'll talk," he shot back.
---
III took you to a crowded noodle place downtown, and kept stealing dumplings from your bowl, resting his hand on your thigh from under the table. You two had a little bit of sake before heading out back to the street.
"Are we getting an Uber back to the hotel?," you asked, getting a sip from his coke can.ย
"Night isn't over yet," he informed you, his attention turned to the Uber app on his phone. "I spent a lot of time planning this day."
You scoffed. "It feels like it. We were jumping from place to place the whole day! I'm exhausted!"
"Aw, come on, Giggles," he tugged at the hem of your shirt. "Just a little bit more, you won't regret it."
You thought of pointing out that you never said you wouldn't go, but it felt unnecessary as he practically pulled you onto his lap on the back of a black car. Considering the previous places you visited, you knew better than to ask where you were going.ย
The car stopped in front of a set of concrete steps that took you down to a sweaty, underground metal venue. The air was heavy with the smell of beer and rough guitar riffs. You couldn't stop looking at III and smiling in an inquisitive way.ย
He grabbed a beer for both of you and you remained at the back of the club, away from the crowd. III placed himself behind you, pulling you flush against his front, wrapping his long arms around your waist and crossing his hands in front of you. During a particular calm bridge, you turned your head to him with a fond smile.
"They're pretty good," you pointed to the small stage. "Where'd you find them?"
"The guitarist there," he pointed with his chin. "He made several covers of Sleep Token's songs and kept tagging me and IVy on Instagram. I looked for his original stuff and thought you would like them."
Your neck turned in an awkward position to look better at the lights from the stage catching on his jawline.ย
"It's a shame he'll never know you've been here," you mentioned.
III shrugged. "When it comes to us, it's part of the deal."ย
At that moment, you felt a strange level of intimacy, like you two were inside of your own bubble, his identity being an offering he would grant only to the people he loved the most. Like you were there with an invisible entity, someone who would only show himself to you, and would gladly stand under the sunlight, if it was with you.ย
For a heartbeat, you two just exchanged glances under the blue and yellow lights coming from the stage. III leaned in, tilting his face towards yours, capturing your lips in a sweet kiss, much sweeter than you would credit him for. This time, it had no teeth, just lips pulling on yours, coaxing them open so he could slide his tongue over yours.ย
Your heart picked up to a point you barely heard the music over the blood rushing to your ears. You felt the hand on your waist leave for a brief second and come back to press you harder, making you feel every inch of his lean but solid body behind you. The kiss lasted mere moments before he pulled away.ย
III pressed his forehead against yours, your noses touching.ย
"Look down, Giggles," he asked with a deep sigh.
You frowned slightly in confusion until you saw his own eyes trail down to the front of your body. Tilting your head downwards, you followed the elegant line of his arm until you landed on his hand, a small, black velvet box nestled in it. The thudding inside your chest got louder, faster, even before you saw what was inside.ย
His thumb flicked the lid open, and your stomach did a backflip. There laid a ring, a small, seemingly simple one, just two silver bands rounded at the edges, held together by some sort of golden bracket. You felt so intrigued by the familiarity of it, you basically forgot you were supposed to thank him and tell him it was beautiful.ย
Without saying anything yet, you took it out of the box, and brought it closer to your face, to have a better look at it in the dark. From behind you, III watched amused as realization washed over you. The ring was a bass string, and the bracket was a guitar jacket tightened around it.ย
Your eyes were as big as saucers when you looked back up at him.ย
"It's one of the strings you helped me tune the first time," he said against your ear, when the loud music calmed down a little. "I've known since then, Giggles. From that day on, without you, we'd be just noise."
The breath stuck in your throat refused to go in or out. You slid the ring on your left ring finger, where it was supposed to be. The tenderness of it almost hurt.ย
"At the end of the day, I don't care if you'd rather go home first before meeting us in England," he continued. "I don't care if you decide to work for Bad Omens and spend the whole Summer on the road. Just... Come back to me, Giggles. Always come back."
Maybe that wasn't something you felt able to promise him you would do. You felt it anyway, the weight of his honesty, and the urge to match it. Incapable of answering with words, you turned on your heels and stood on your toes to grab his face and kiss him with everything you had.ย
It reminded you of the first time you two kissed, when you couldn't know if he was kissing you or you were kissing him. III doesn't let go of the dominance, of the initiative, even when he is the one being kissed. Your lips moved against his with a fever, an urge that felt like it would consume you if you didn't consume him first.ย
III groaned inside your mouth and grabbed harshly on your waist after shoving the small box hastily back in the pocket of his jacket. His strong hands squeezed and grabbed you through your shirt, forcing you against him. He backed you against the nearest pillar, you two were covered by darkness and loud music, but making out so heavily that a man passing nearby even whistled under his breath.ย
It made you giggle under your breath, but your breath hitched again as he pressed his crotch against yours, his hands found their way inside your shirt to feel your ribs, cup your breasts, slip his thumbs under your bra to caress your nipples. Your nails raked through the skin of his torso, his sides, eliciting goosebumps that made your ego swell. III was already hard, his hips sometimes bucking helplessly against you while your tongue explored his mouth.ย
The way his finger circled your nipple made you sob inside his mouth, and you pulled away from the kiss to trail your lips down his beautifully long neck. The sensation of your hot body flush against his in public was too much for him. He pulled back, panting heavily, his eyes usually of such clear blue, dark and clouded with desire.ย
"Let's get the fuck out of here," he ordered, breathlessly. "Right fucking now."
You nodded eagerly, dumping your plastic cup in the closest trashcan and being pulled by the wrist towards the exit. III practically hauled you in the back seat of the Uber he called, and almost crawled on top of you to climb in. You even tried to behave for the sake of the poor driver, but III was having none of that, and it was so damn hard to resist it.ย
While you tried to sit back and adjust your clothes, III grabbed your jaw with one hand and tilted it towards him. The kisses grew hungrier, more urgent, all teeth and tongue, his hands found their way back into your shirt, and into the hem of your shorts. His thumbs massaged the skin right at the edge of your panties, forcing a moan from you right into his mouth.ย
It felt like the ride took forever, and you were pressed against the door with III's frame on top of you when the car came to a halt. You two barely mumbled an apology and a thanks to the driver before III dragged you out of the car and into the hotel lobby. The big mirror by the entrance showed you in complete disarray, hair messy, lips swollen, clothes crumpled.ย
You didn't stop to look around and see if any of your colleagues were there to see, and you were surprised to realize that you really, truthfully, didn't care. III walked backwards into the elevator, pulling you along with him, and wrapped your arms around his waist, engulfing you in another the kiss before the doors closed behind you.
"You're so beautiful like this," he mumbled against your mouth, his breath hot and wet. "So perfect when you're mine."
"I'm always yours," you quietly offered, not actually thinking before you spoke, but your words elicited a desperate, broken groan out of him.ย
"That's my point," he quipped, leaning down to catch your lip between his teeth. "You're always beautiful," he flicked the tip of his tongue on the roof of your mouth. "You're always perfect."
The next kiss tasted like beer and dark promises. He was hungry alright, bruising your lips with his, damaging the skin over your ribs with his fingers and blunt nails. You barely heard the elevator ding when you felt yourself being guided through the hallway, precariously holding your shorts already unbuttoned.ย
III shoved you against your door, and kissed you again while inserting his keycard in the door. You two stumbled inside the bedroom like two drunk college students, you clawing at his jacket until it ended on the floor, and him yanking on your shirt until you heard ripping sounds, eventually able to pull it over your head with a frustrated grunt and tossing it on the ground. Your lips barely disconnected the whole time, until he pushed you backwards with a controlled force, making the back of your knees hit the edge of the bed and you fall backwards with a small happy squeal.
He didn't waste time to place himself on top of you, his hips between your legs, while he kissed a hot trail down your neck to the valley of your breasts. Your bra went flying over his shoulder at some point, his mouth latched onto a nipple as you braced yourself on your elbows, whole body arching towards him. III yanked on your shorts, rolling them down your thighs along with your panties.ย
You whined pitifully, and III chuckled darkly as he pitched your legs up, flexed your knees, opened them wide and planted your feet firmly on the mattress. He placed his hands on your knees and opened them even wider, and you've never felt as exposed, his hungry eyes on you like a hound watching a prey. Your pussy clenched around nothing, dripping your slick on the covers, and III cursed under his breath.ย
"Jesus, princess, you're drenched," his voice rumbled and broke inside his chest, chuckling as you yanked on his shirt and tugged it impatiently over his head. "Is that all for me?"
Before you had the chance to make any pitiful, humiliating sound, he circled his middle finger on your clit and your entrance, shoving it inside you without a warning, making you yelp and clench hard around it. He didn't tease you, he didn't wait for you to catch up, he just penetrated you with his finger and curled it upwards, pressing firmly on the spongy spot on your front wall. You threw your head back and cried, your legs trying to close on instinct, but he would have none of that.
"Nu-uh," he held your knee wide open with a strong hand. "Be a good girl and stay fucking still for me."
He started fucking you with his hand frantically, forcing you to stay leaned on your elbows, thighs quivering pathetically as you soaked his hand down to his wrist. And if your delirious moans weren't enough, III brought his mouth to your hot center to suck and lick at your clit while he kept fingering you relentlessly. The pleasure wasn't a gentle fizz of your bones, nor a romantic plea born deep in your lower belly.ย
It was like being dragged in a devastating storm, being thrown like a twig by the waves, and the climax was a crash against stones. Your whole body tensed to a worrying degree, lifting up from the mattress like a string coiled too tight, and you screamed as you gushed right into his mouth.ย
"That's it, lamb, give it to me," he coaxed, mumbling against your folds. "You're so fucking hot, you're crushing my fingers."
"Holy fuck, III," you panted, your fists closing strongly around the sheets.ย
He moaned and grunted against your core, refusing to stop sucking, and lapping, and fingering, until you tried to escape him due to oversensitivity. III pulled away but didn't let you move, holding you tightly by your hips and pulling you to him. In a rushed, desperate motion, he shoved his pants down and lined himself up to your entrance.ย
You braced yourself for a deep, harsh invasion, considering the pace of everything until now, but III collected your slick with his tip and nudged inside you carefully, moaning loudly and sporting a deep, pleasure-ridden frown.ย
"Big stretch, baby, deep breaths for me," he said coarsely. "Don't wanna hurt you"
The only thing that actually made you relax was the crazy arousal and sheer weight of the pleasure he pressured into you. In that position, on your back, legs wide open, with him bracing himself on his arms hovering over you, you could see everything, every inch of him slowly pushing through. A string of fuckfuckfuck, oh my God punched out of your throat as he bottomed out inside you.ย
He barely gave you a minute to get used to his size. It was the longest cock you've ever had, curved upwards just right to touch you in all the right places. When your walls started convulsing around him, he dropped his head, hips stuttering as he saw himself fully buried inside you.ย
His hips recoiled once, and slowly, carefully drove back into you with a slick, noisy movement.
"Fuck, doll...," his voice a thick, breathless growl floating above you. "Fucking look at you, look at you taking me so well. Knew you'd feel like this, fucking knew it... This whole time I was losing my mind thinking about this... Tighter than I imagined, Jesus Christ. Baby, don't move, just take it, take everything..."
He would ramble and ramble, his voice almost drowned out by your wet, delirious moans. His pistoning against you was a relentless, almost punishing pace inside you, that shattered the last ounce of control you had, making you come with a wailing cry that echoed off the walls and across the halls.ย
"That's it, holy shit, baby," he groaned through his teeth. "Your pussy is clamping down on me."
When the orgasm fizzled out, it left your body completely spent, your spine felt as soft as pudding, making you fall limp on the mattress. Again, III didn't give you time to recover, pulling out of you abruptly, making you whimper from the sudden emptiness, and manhandling you until you were on your hands and knees on the bed, thighs still shaking under you. You felt his hand heavy between your shoulder blades, forcing your face down so your ass would point up like an offering for him.
His hands travelled down your body to hook around your hips, only slightly pulling your backside against his thighs. The blunt tip of his cock nudged your folds again, this time pushing inside a little harsher, knocking the breath out of your lungs, a high pitched whimper ripping from your throat.ย
His left hand buried itself in the roots of your hair, yanking it so your face would tilt upward, your spine would arch like a bow, while the right one remained on your hip. He built momentum quickly, his hips swaying against you back and forth, from left to right, bringing your blood to a boil.ย
"Yeah, just like that, gorgeous," he praised. "Look at you taking it from behind like a good girl. Fuck, you're so perfect for us, the best thing that ever happened to me... Hold on, press your thighs together f'me, luv. Press 'em tight, let me feel you..."
He pulled your hips up and pressed your tights together for you, narrowing your channel until the friction became unbearable. The pleasure was a confusing mixture of sensations, from the pain on your scalp, to the anchoring feeling of his hand tightening on your hip, to his cock deliciously dragging across every nerve ending you had inside of yourself. The squelching sounds were absolutely indecent, your moans punched out of your chest in sync with his rough thrusts.ย
Something inside you wanted to smile and laugh out of pure, irrational joy. You felt your sense of self control being fucked out of you. After weeks and weeks of pure hard work, you suddenly switched to a perfectly loved being, someone who was worshipped, listened to, cared for, like you've never been before.ย
Someone whose skin rippled from the impact of III's hard body against your backside.ย
You clenched hard around him unintentionally, your pussy just responding to the overwhelming stimulation, but he moaned so pretty that you did it again on purpose. And again, and again, until you were making yourself come again on his cock. This time, III nearly lost it, his hand shook on your hip before digging divots in your skin.ย
"Fuck, baby, you came so hard," he said, struggling to maintain the relentless pace. "You're so good, what did I ever do to deserve you? When did I get so lucky?"
With that, III landed a hard slap on your bum, hard enough to sting and make you cry out. He mumbled another praise under his breath, and wrestled your soft bones back onto the mattress, forcing you on your back again, pitching your legs over his shoulders and laying completely on top of you. For a second, everything slowed down.ย
III pressed his forehead to yours, breathing heavily on your face while splitting you open on the tip of his cock. You tried to take a deep breath but it sounded broken and whimpered.ย
"III, Iโ," you choked out, not entirely sure of what you were going to say, so you caught yourself before any nonsense came out.ย
He stayed still for a moment, waiting for you to finish, and then realizing you wouldn't.ย
"What is it, Giggles?," he asked, his demeanor suddenly completely changed. "You wanna stop? Did I hurt you?"
He tucked a piece of damp hair behind your ear and nudged your nose with his, much like II liked to do. The contrasting tenderness was jarring, and it clenched everything inside you. You raised your hand to brush his hair away from his eyes, and the ring on your hand caught the dim light of the room.ย
III grabbed your hand and brought it to his lips, twisting the ring on your finger. His tip pushed a little further in, making your hips slightly lift from the mattress.ย
"No," you whimpered. "Don't stop, please, please fuck me, III."
His hips pushed slowly, breaching your wet, already slightly sore hole. Your breath left your lungs shakily, holding his bicep to anchor yourself in that feeling. When he bottomed out again, his head dropped on your collarbone, leaving sweet kisses there at first, but it rapidly became harsh bites and suction on the skin of your neck as he picked up the pace again.ย
"You feel so fucking good, gorgeous," he gritted. "You're ours now, you hear me? Mine. Won't let anyone touch you, I'll kill anyone who tries to take you. I don't give a fuck, you're staying right here, right under me..."
His delirious rambling resumed along with his punishing pace, the snap of his hips driving his big cock right into your depths. His thrusts grew faster and sloppier.
"Fuck, III, I'm gonna cum again," you cried into the side of his face.ย
"Yeah, fucking cum for me, doll, I'm right behind you," he moaned into your skin, his hand finding your clit to stroke it in sync with his thrusts.
Your fingers weaved onto the hair on the nape of his neck. "Cum in me," you coaxed. "I'm on the pill, III, it's okay."
The growl that came from his chest vibrated through you. He sank his teeth on the skin of your neck and breathed in deeply.
The last orgasm was a little more gentle, although not less devastating. A liquid fire storm that starts with a small whirlpool, rising from your navel and scorching your core. You gripped him so tightly he kept moaning desperately, his breath wet and hot on the skin of your neck.ย
He buried himself to the hilt inside you as his pleasure peaked into a blinding rupture. III slammed himself against you, and spilled into you with an ever deeper thrust.ย
"Fuck, I love you, princess," a desperate, delirious sob tore from his throat. "Love you so fucking much."

A/N.: Hello, lovies! Another chapter is ready, I'm slowly getting into rhythm again, and hopefully things won't be as slow anymore. If the reader sounds even more infatuated with the band in this chapter, it's because I am. Aside from stumbling upon their true identities by accident (I won't ever talk about those in my fics though), I've been watching their live performances non-stop, and I think it shows. This is one of those chapters that I really had fun with, and I definitely missed writing! Also, a bit of smut at the end, and a hint of breeding kink if you squint. I hope you guys have fun with it too, and again, thank you so much for the love and support!
Do you believe in fate?
It could have been fate that put you in the right place, and the right time, for the most amazing - and bizarre - experience you've ever had.
Struggling to make it as a stage assistant, you were hired by a very mysterious, anonymous band that you already admired. With a whole tour in front of you, you have more than enough time to get to know the men behind those masks, and understand how painfully human each of them is. You have more than enough time to fall for each of them, in different, unique ways.
It is hard to figure out what fate means by it when it puts you between such distinct, but wonderful choices. Four of them, no less.
TW: Adult content. There will be mentions of abuse, harassment, and alcohol consumption, as well as eventual smut. MDNI +18
You and Vessel let go from each other half heartedly when you heard people working around you. It was jarring, to say the least, to suddenly be reminded of where you were, and what you were supposed to be doing. For a minute, he simply sat back and watched you pulling your pants back up and adjusting your t-shirt.ย
"Do I look too messy?," you asked, trying to tame the hair the was pulling on not a minute ago.ย
He snorted a small chuckle. "A little," the singer reached for you. "C'mere."
Allowing yourself to grab onto his hand and be pulled towards him again, you closed your eyes as he smoothed your shirt and your hair for you, softly caressing the slightly red marks on your lips, neck, and collarbone.ย
"I suppose there's nothing to be done about those," he pointed to the bruises with his chin. "I'm sorry."
A giggle left your chest.ย
"It's alright, Ves," you combed his hair with your fingers as well. "I need to get back to work, yeah? We have a show to put on for these people."ย
He exhaled heavily through his nose, a sound that could've been a small laugh, or something like resignation. Eventually Vessel just nodded, pulling you in for a kiss right on the crown of your head before letting you go.ย
"Angel, wait," he called, making you turn on your heels.ย
"Yeah?"
A heartbeat passed, as Vessel's eyes darted from you to the empty space above your shoulder. His expression softened suddenly, shoulders slumping, hands falling limp on his lap.
"Nevermind," he shook his head lightly, smiling timidly. "Be careful, I'll see you in a bit."

The work was the heaviest you have ever done. Everything that needed to be assembled for their huge stage was being assembled in parts, in the backstage, so you wouldn't get in the way of other bands. The day flew by like a drop of sweat running from your hairline.ย
Suddenly it was noon, and people would start flooding in soon. You were on the drum riser with Sam and Andy, adjusting the drum mics and snapping cables into place, against Jax recommendations.ย
"Rookie!," you heard your manager yell from the stage. "What the fuck did I say to you."
"Guitar and bass are already prepared, Jax," you yelled back. "I'm just hurrying to get this over with for soundcheck."
The way his face scrunched didn't look right to you.ย
"Yeah, well, you'll be more useful backstage, they need a hand with the secondary cable runs," he said with a nasty tone, not enjoying your argument for one second. "I fucking told you we don't have time."
His voice got all of your nerves into defensive mode. It was getting clearer and clearer to you that Jax was more antagonizing because of what he saw in the hotel lobby, and in the bus. You caught yourself already preparing for the battle you would have to brave if you wanted to keep up with everything you were doing.ย
But Jax' tone wasn't what scared you the most. What scared you the most was seeing III come towards you with his hands flexing, bass still strapped around him while a roadie ran frantically behind him, trying to take off the wires he still had on him after the early tech-check. He looked a minute away from punching Jax in the face.ย
You looked at him, praying that he would see the panic in your eyes, and maybe he did. His expression softened, even if just slightly. He walked right past Jax and stretched his arm to you.ย
"Easy, Giggles," he cooed, the jarring sweetness in his voice throwing you off a little. "Let me help you down before management shits their pants," III looked pointedly at Jax for one brief second.ย
Long, strong fingers grabbed ahold of your wrist when you were already coming down, pulling you towards him and wrapping around your waist with a dramatic flare, twirling you around a bit before setting you on the ground. You would've giggled like a school girl if it wasn't for the situation at hand. III looked at you in the eyes and removed a speck of dust from your hair, tucking it behind your ear in the process.
"What's with the tone, mate?," he turned to Jax, eyes squinted because of the sun. "Got shortchanged with the catering budget or something?"
You were mortified.ย
"This is a production matter, III," Jax explained, despite having his jaw locked in irritation. "She needs to follow her assignments, we're on a tight clock."
III's eyebrows shot to his hairline. "You're shitting me. She's doing what she always does, making sure everything is ready at least three hours ahead of schedule," the bassist stepped forward, voice rising an octave, and you placed a hand on his chest, as if holding the tide of his anger with your hand. "Meanwhile you've got other fucking roadies twice her size taking twice the time to wire a goddamn panel, using all their energy on fucking misogynistic jokes, and I don't see your ugly face barking at them like that."
All of the hairs on the back of your neck stood on end. This was your worst nightmare slowly becoming reality.ย
"III, stop, it's okay," you talked very slowly, very calmly. Calming III down always felt like defusing a bomb. "Jax' right, the secondary cables need a final check anyway. I'm leaving the drums to Sam," you looked your manager dead in the eye, a neutral expression on your face, refusing to let anyone see how agitated you actually felt. "Gonna clear the floor runs now, boss. Then we'll be ready for soundcheck."
Jax only gave a tight nod, eyes flickering to III for a millisecond before he spun on his heels and went to production office. The tall bassist by your side let out a bitter, aggressive curse under his breath, completely unsatisfied for having to let the manager off the hook, but forcing himself to relax under the firm pressure of your hand on his chest. You looked at him pointedly.
"Don't go off on me, Giggles," he pleaded, that infuriating charm bleeding through his anger. "I behaved wonderfully compared to what I actually wanted to do."
You scoffed and rolled your eyes, but couldn't help but melt. Your fist pulled his collar down to you, and you kissed his face in front of everyone for the second time that day, almost giggling at the gasp he let out.ย
"Thank you for having my back," you whispered on his ear before letting his shirt go.
III seemed stunned for getting a kiss and a thank you instead of a lecture about workplace composure, but it quickly melted into a dirty smirk.ย
"You can thank me properly later," he sing-sang.
"You sure know how to ruin a moment," you joked, laughing openly with your head back.ย
He stood there for a second, watching you laugh with a satisfied smile on his face. "Yeah, but you love it," he winked. "You're beautiful, Giggles. Go ahead before I do something reckless."
Giggling even more, you walked away from him while shaking your head, under his watchful gaze. You looked around for the first time since Jax started yelling at you. Everyone was watching.ย
Andy and Sam even stopped what they were doing to look at you from the riser. People from audio engineering looked at you sideways, whispering to one another. But what really bothered you was seeing Marcus and Zach standing near the rack cases, pretending they didn't hear or see anything.ย
Usually, what follows a scene such as this one would be nasty comments and distasteful jokes, and even though you were grateful for the silence, you couldn't help but wonder if that meant those two finally realized that messing with you wasn't worth it, or if it was just the calm before the storm.
---
Soundcheck went smoothly, and it was almost time for the first bands to take the stage. Sleep Token would be the second to last band to play, and Bad Omens would close the day, so you actually had a few hours to make sure everything was running smoothly. The boys were making final adjustments in their instruments and rigs after soundcheck while you were finishing some cabling at a console panel when someone cast a long shadow over you.ย
"You know, most of production vanishes to catering as soon as soundcheck wraps," Noah Sebastian said from behind a cup of iced coffee, watching you closely, eyes stopping on a very heavy roll of cables around your shoulder. "What are you still doing here, roadie?"
Noah didn't have any of the rockstar bravado, which was something you could appreciate. His eyes were soft, his posture relaxed, his voice quiet and breathy, like someone who would never pull rank on a crew member. He seemed entirely focused on your shared understanding of music and live concerts.ย
"Someone has to make sure your crew doesn't mess anything up," you joked, a small smile playing on your face, and the two of you share a laugh.ย
"I have to admit my ego took a bit of a hit last night," he confessed after the giggling died down. "One minute we were talking about having you on board for Europe in the VIP lounge, and the next you vanish into thin air without even saying goodbye."
That strange shame crept up again, the one you felt everytime you remembered what happened with Marcus and Zach in that hallway. You shot an apologetic smile.ย
"An emergency came up," you limited yourself to say. "I had to handle a situation with the crew."
Noah merely nodded, appreciating the fact that you didn't apologize nor felt the need to explain yourself further.ย
"Yeah, I know how it is," he smiled brighter. "We're never really off the clock when we're touring, right?"
You agreed shyly. "Yeah," you huffed a small laugh and turned your attention back to the console panel.ย
The frontman leaned over the console, and took the cables from your shoulder, careful so he wouldn't actually touch you. You allowed him to help.ย
"I actually came here to talk to you about this 'situation with the crew'," he said carefully, grabbing your attention again. "We told you last night, Nick and I were a bit worried that, you know... We saw what happened a little earlier, and some people from your crew are just...," as he trailed off, he looked around the two of you. "And the band seems to be breathing down your neck. I know how ugly things can get, especially with a tour of this size. If there's anything going on, if... If the band is crossing any lines, if the crew is making you feel unsafe, you can tell me. I mean it. We don't tolerate this shit on our side."
Bless him. You didn't even realize you stopped breathing for a second, while you scanned his face for a hidden agenda, and only found honesty, some will to help a colleague, which was flattering, to say the least.ย
"Noah, thank you, really," you started slowly, talking really quietly, so he had to lean into your space to hear you. "I promise I'm safe."
"We work really hard to keep our people safe," he informed, resting his cup on your console to adjust the cables on his shoulder instead. "Just got rid of someone for this exact reason. Things are changing, roadie, slowly, but surely. You don't have to endure shit like women did a few years ago, just for the sake of a gig."
A profound wave of gratitude washed over you. Even though Noah was terribly wrong about your boys, even though they were your sanctuary, not a threat, it was such a relief to know there were more decent people in that industry. That you wouldn't be alone either way, and that the women in his crew were having a better time than you.
"Thank you, Noah, seriously. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. But that's not what's happening here... The band, they aren't the problem. They're actually the only reason I'm standing straight today."
There was something so amicable about Noah, you wanted to tell him everything, but you knew better. He squinted and looked at you as if trying to understand what that meant. He didn't seem convinced.
You caught movement on your peripheral vision, and turned your head to see II coming towards you. The drummer was slightly out of breath, a little sweaty from doing soundcheck under the surprisingly hot day, bringing you yet another bottle of water. Noah shifted slightly, seemingly considering something in his head.ย
"I'm glad you're safe then, roadie," he said gently but slightly faster, knowing your moment of privacy was coming to an end in fast, determined strides. "Truly. But the offer still stands. Our manager is still looking for a tech lead for the European leg next spring. I would love to have you on board."
The frontman extended a small folded piece of paper to you. You took it and immediately recognized a phone number scribbled on it. Noah gave half a step back as II arrived by your side, not touching, but still looming over you.ย
"Don't answer yet, just think about it," Noah encouraged. "Text or call me anytime."
II's presence was undeniable. You looked behind you and there he was, light and heavy at the same time, loving and territorial.ย
"Still trying to steal our assistant, Noah?," he asked in a light mood, the bite in his voice almost imperceptible.ย
The singer merely shrugged, sipping on his coffee again. "Can't blame a man for wanting the best on his team. I just meant that if your management ever decides to let her go, our arms will be wide open. Your manager seemed to be unhappy with the fact that she was rigging the drums ahead of time, and we're dying to have anyone doing anything ahead of time at this point."
II merely smiled, head tilting downward with a huff through his nose, hand slightly twitching between the two of you.ย
"Fair," the drummer merely said.ย
"Anyways, I gotta go. Good luck out there tonight, II," Noah said politely, and tilted his head to you. "Have a good show, roadie."
The frontman winked at you, and you pretended you didn't see it. "You too, Noah."
He popped his sunglasses on and left, disappearing into the stage-left tunnel.ย
You watched II stare after him, seeing the muscles and veins pop out under the heavy ink on his neck. Seizing the small opportunity you had for privacy, you leaned into him, grabbing his arm, sinking your face on his chest. II breathed on your hair, almost frozen into place, tense and moody.ย
"Relax, II," you cooed, humor in your voice that made him grunt bitterly. "It wasn't what you think."
"He gave you his number, love," he mumbled, blonde eyebrows drawn together. "You know what it looks like."
A small chuckle left your chest, and you pulled back to see (and enjoy) the jealousy on his face. Even though you refused to believe Noah Sebastian was actually flirting with you, you knew what it looked like, and seeing how much II was struggling to keep his jealousy in check, you figured you had to explain a few things.ย
"He's trying to help me, you know?," you tried for casual, commenting while getting back to work. "He was trying to protect me... From you. From all of you."
II's immediate reaction was to laugh, a humorless snort combined with a frown. But then, a small realization softened his features, and he nodded.ย
"I suppose having the band you work for looming over you all the time might come off as harassment," he considered.ย
You giggled and confirmed with your head.ย
"Between Jax barking at me, the way some of the crew behaves, and how close you guys get to me, I think he was worried I'm... Trapped," you explained.ย
The drummer stepped away from you, leaning over a hard case behind him with a self-deprecating sigh. Intense blue eyes peered up at you, guarded behind blonde eyelashes.ย
"Are you though?," he finally asked. "Trapped, I mean."
The scoff you let out almost scraped your throat.ย
"If it wasn't clear by the sixth orgasm I had this morning, I'm with you because I want to," you said from behind a smirk.ย
That made a cocky grin bloom on his face, arched eyebrow, head tilted to the side and everything. "Yeah, that was pretty nice, wasn't it."
The laughter started bubbling up inside you.ย
"Don't let it get to your head, drummer boy," you stepped in his direction, and as soon as you were again within his reach, II pulled you into his embrace, making you clash against his chest, resting his hands on the curve of your ass.
"How could I not," he spoke against your bottom lip. "Having the prettiest woman in the world writhing under me like that. Must've done something right."
You couldn't resist, having him so close like that. Your hand went to the back of his neck and pulled him towards you for a kiss. Even though it had to be short, it was hot, intense, and it ended with his hand just underneath your shirt, squeezing the skin over your ribs.ย
A swipe of his tongue was a dirty promise of everything he wanted to do to you as soon as he got the chance. He tasted of cold water and mint, and he drank every soft whimper that left your throat, grazing his teeth on your bottom lip. His hands hitched up a few inches more, until he was fully cupping your breasts, circling his thumbs over your nipples through your bra.ย
Your hips tilted forward on their own, seeking the hard heat pressing against you, making II groan deep within his chest. He pulled away, chest heaving, pupils blown wide, but he kept you in his arms, squeezing you just a little bit tighter. For a while, II didn't talk, he just stared down at you, as if trying to figure something out.
"Are you considering accepting Noah's offer?," he asked directly, not subtle.ย
You licked on your red, swollen lips, and shrugged. "This tour is ending by the beginning of the winter. I'll still have bills to pay then, II, I gotta work."
He nodded and huffed a small, humorless laugh through his nose, without letting you go.ย
"Yeah, about that," he started, staring into your eyes. "I've been meaning to talk to you about something..."
"Yeah?," you asked, your eyes fluttering shut as he nudged your nose with his. "What is it?"
"What if I asked youโ"
"Rookie?!," the both of you heard Andy call from the stage. "Goddamnit, where is she? We need help with the line terminals up front!"
II pulled away from you half-heartedly, with a displeased grunt.ย
"Sounds like they need you, love," he kissed your temple. "Go be our hero."
"Yeah...," you stepped away hesitantly. "But we'll talk later, yeah? I wanna know what you were going to ask."
"Of course, it's nothing urgent," he scratched the back of his head. "I'll catch you later, love."
---
Your hard work was never as rewarding as it was that day. The day went by in the blink of an eye, and before you knew it, Sleep Token was taking the stage you prepared with your bare hands.ย
They were different that day. You thought that at that point you would be used to watching them, but you weren't. That same raw power, the same colors, the same magical feeling of being drowned in colors, but this time, it was better.
Vessel emerged from backstage with confidence injected in his strut, firm steps towards the mic stand, chin held high and a big, bright smile. II played shirtless again, and sometimes you could even hear him screaming the lyrics from his alcove, a new burst of energy and cymbals started each song. III was a beacon of pure raw energy, chaos vibrating from his bones, jagged movements and sweat dripping from his hairline.ย
IV, your dear IV, was one with the music, shoulders and hips moving with each different rhythm, and you've never heard his voice so powerful. While making sure they had everything they needed to have the best concert of their lives, you thought to yourself that they should be tired. You were nearing the end of the tour, and they spent the whole day there with you instead of saving their energy at the hotel.ย
IV even helped with production, sharing with you stories of when he was a guitar tech himself. His technical knowledge was astounding, and his ear caught even the slightest distortion out of place. You've never thought you had so much to learn from him.ย
Regardless of any of that, they put everything they had in that concert, and everyone felt the sheer electricity in the air. The fans, the production team, the other bands. II's drums vibrated through the floorboards, right under your feet, snapping up on your spine.
"Something feels different," you said, more to yourself than to anyone around you.ย
"I think they're in a good mood," Andy shrugged and winked at you with a dirty smirk. "I wonder why that is."
"You should mind your own business," you playfully scoffed, shoving a roll of cables in his arms.ย
But the smile on your face gave everything away. You couldn't stop watching them, you weren't able to divert your eyes for even one second, from the way II exploded behind the drums, tilted his head back and closed his eyes. You couldn't stop looking at the way III headbanged, how he would kick his legs and ran up and down the stage like a wild dog with the zoomies.ย
As the concert went on, your pride swelled with it. This was the highest point of your career until now. From the wings, you looked up at the mammoth you helped assemble.ย
That was it. Life wouldn't get any better than that.ย
They had picked a different song to close the set this time, and you knew the moment arrived when the stage was engulfed in black and blue, like a violent plunge into a cold ocean. The quietness of it was devastating, and suddenly, the rest of the band retreated for the wings, leaving Vessel alone with his guitar and the Espera on the stage. Something in your chest tightened, and you couldn't focus on your job anymore.ย
Your feet were glued to the floorboards, and you were aware of how big and wet your eyes were, staring at the eerie silhouette of Vessel right in front of the stage, a cold blue spotlight washing his back. A strong hand you grew accostumed with wrapped around your wrist, and your heart fluttered in your chest when you smelled II's smokey and woodsy cologne, mixed with ozone and the metallic tang of the stage. II didn't pull you in.ย
He didn't even hug you. He just held your pulse through the entirety of Missing Limbs, while Vessel's guitar chords thrummed, vibrating in your chest like a baby bird trapped in your ribcage.
"Oh, bird, worry not
The blessings rain on battles in the heaven's arms"
You looked at II again. You wanted to tell him. You needed to tell him you loved them.
That you were terrified of a future without them. That there was no way you would ever be this happy again if it wasn't by their side. You needed to ask him how could the five of you make it work, because you would do anything.
"II," you called, watching glacier eyes fall on you with the weight of the entire universe. "II, I need to tell you something. Iโ"
But as the song came to an end, with Vessel's melodic voice flooding the arena, the whole world erupted in applause and screams. The stage lit up in a washed out caramel light, and the crew's celebration was so loud you couldn't even hear yourself. You looked back at Vessel, and he was on his knees in front of his audience, shoulders jumping from his sobbing.ย
IV and III were approaching him from the other side of the stage, when Vessel pulled himself up again and gestured towards you and II to come join them. The crew slowly passed by you, taking the stage to receive their praise from the fans. All it took was a tug from II for you to start walking too.ย
Showing up under the strobe lights was never for you. Your craft was mastered in the shadows, your reward was in seeing everything working as it should. But if you were being totally honest, you didn't see the lights, you didn't see the crew, you didn't even see the sixty thousand people staring.ย
All you saw was Vessel, III and IV, waiting with open arms. Your body knew what to do. You let go of II's hand, and your legs started running.ย
As soon as you reached III, you jumped, and he did what he always does โ he caught you. The tall bassist bent his knees just in time to wrap his arms under your thighs, lifting you up against him, the impact forcing him a couple of steps back. A loud, surprised laugh tore out of his heaving chest, and he spun you around while lifting you up in the air.
The world fell dark and silent, and no one else existed in that moment. You wrapped your fingers around his jawline and pulled his face towards yours, crashing down on his hard mask with a kiss. You could feel him moving from behind it, as if he was desperate to kiss you back through the barrier.
III let out a wild groan you could feel on his chest better than you could hear it, and you giggled. You tilted your head downward to rest your forehead against his, and while the rest of the band thanked the public, you and the bassist shared your own little moment.ย
"That's my girl," he said loud enough for you to hear it. "You did it, Giggles, look what you've done," he spun you around again, looking up at the stage. "I'm so fucking proud of you."
Your chest tightened, and you let out a chuckle that sounded too much like a sob. III slid you down his body, and only let you go when you had both feet firmly planted on the ground. You adjusted your clothes and busied yourself with helping them gather their guitar picks and drumsticks to throw at the crowd.
After rounding the drum riser to get II's drum sticks and drumheads, you saw a little boy being held in what you assumed was his father's arms at the front row. II took one of the battered and marked drumheads from you, and your curious eyes followed him to the edge of the stage, where instead of throwing it blindly at the crowd, he carefully crouched and stretched towards the boy, who couldn't be older than eight, wearing an oversized, bright blue noise-cancelling headphones. The kid reached his little hand to II over the gap of the barricade and grabbed the drumhead, sporting a bright smile.ย
The dad was trying to thank II over the relentless noise of the crowd, and you could see the drummer's eyes crinkling behind his mask. II reached further to squeeze the boy's arm, and got up to leave. Something stirred within you, and you stood there, entranced, watching him leave the stage through the opposite wing.ย
"Rookie, what are you doing?," Andy called. "We need to tear this shit down fast!"
You had to shake your head to come about from your feelings. The loadout was the faster you ever had to do until then, and the work was only starting. Unplugging, dismantling, putting away, pushing and pulling cases until your muscles threatened to give out on you.ย
The worst part was to have the boys, now cleaned and changed, helping you out, walking behind you, telling you to be careful. You would shake your head and laugh, without even answering them.ย
"Put that down, love," II would interfere, taking some hard case from you. "Let the local hands lift this."
"Darling, watch the rigging overhead!," IV would shout at you. "They're dropping the truss too fast!"
And you would just roll your eyes and wipe the sweat on your forehead with the back of your hand. You were just leaning down to disconnect a stubborn cable, when you heard a snap and someone overhead yelling "Watch out!". Luckily, Vessel was faster than you were, and he pulled you against his chest right before a cable trunk fell right where you were with a bang.ย
"Goddamnit, angel," he mumbled, his chest absorbing the whole impact of you slamming into him. "You have to be more careful than that."
To his dismay, you chuckled loudly. "Why would I when I have you to take care of me?," you asked, winking at him.ย
He huffed from behind his medical mask, eyes rolling with endearment. But he didn't move, and for a few minutes, you had to work with Vessel less than a foot away, staring at you with his arms crossed.
But someone else found his reaction amusing too. Noah Sebastian, now fully dressed for his set, landed a hand on Vessel's shoulder, finally stealing his attention from you.ย
"Come on, man, let the girl do her job," the Bad Omens frontman said with a light humor to his voice. "She built this entire stage without an injury, I think she deserves more credit than that."
You let out a genuine laugh at that.ย
"Thank you, Noah," you gave him a grateful look. "Tell him I don't need a bodyguard."
"She doesn't need a bodyguard," Noah echoed with a shit eating grin. "Can I talk to you for a second?"
He frowned, and you did too. Vessel wasn't like the other frontmen from other bands โ he was polite and friendly, and he had some wonderful insights regarding his craft, but he hated talking about it with most people that weren't you or his bandmates. Most people notice this pretty fast, that Vessel isn't exactly an outgoing person, and they choose to leave him alone.
Noah, being observant as he was, probably noticed that too, and chose to ignore it.ย
Vessel looked at you hesitantly for a moment.ย
"I will probably survive a few minutes without you, Ves," you joked. "Go on."
The other singer was already with his back to you, waiting for Vessel to follow him to the loading docks. They walked away from any curious ears, and Noah leaned against the steel structure while casually talking about the differences and similarities in their productions. The Bad Omens' singer told him he heard that Vessel was the mind behind everything, and he wanted a chance to talk a little about his creative process.ย
They were talking about live production preferences, Noah clearly pleased by the chance to exchange notes with an artist he admired. Vessel's discomfort was visible, but his friendliness often overcomes his shyness, and he obliged to Noah's request for an open conversation about their craft. As they were talking about stage production, your crystalline laughter cut through their talk, and they chuckled at you frantically trying to instruct a roadie to the stage-left loading bay.ย
"Is her a lead tech?," Noah pointed his chin towards you. "She refers to herself as a stage assistant."
A huff left Vessel's nose, suddenly embarrassed for not giving you the credit you deserved.ย
"She was hired to replace an assistant that had to leave," Vessel chose his words carefully. "She's been doing much more than her assignments though, and her knowledge and talent have been proven to be invaluable until now."
Noah nodded. "My production manager was drooling over her routing diagnostics earlier."
Vessel's eyes sharpened towards him, shoulders going slightly rigid.ย
"She's the best we've had so far," he limited himself to say.ย
"I bet," Noah shifted, looking at his feet. "Being on the road is really good in this sense. We meet some very special people, who can understand our vision. When you meet someone like that... You wanna hold onto them, right?"
Your singer went entirely still, his massive frame locking into place while he side eyed Noah, trying to figure out what he meant by that. When Noah noticed he wouldn't say anything to that, he continued.
"You know the industry is brutal, especially on women. We make too many mistakes with them, there's so much hostility, so much pressure... And they end up slipping away," the Bad Omens' singer leans over his own thighs, his expression deep in thought. "I wouldn't let this one slip away if I were you."
At this point, the tension on Vessel's shoulders was evident, but his face remained hidden behind the mask.ย
"I appreciate the concern, Noah," he started carefully. "She is much more thanโ"
"Nathan, there's a ground loop issue with the guitar rig!," one of the Bad Omens' techs yelled from the stage to someone in the back, catching both singer's attention for a moment.ย
A sudden, distorted, catastrophic hum came from the main guitar rack, making your ears perk up. You abruptly looked in the direction of the sound, seeing the guitar tech with a puzzled, slightly distressed look on his face. It sounded very similar to the issue you had with IV's rig a few weeks before.ย
You approached the other roadies, wiping your hands on a clean rag, under the watchful eye of both frontmen.ย
"May I?," you asked them, receiving a nod from a girl kneeled in front of a digital modeler pedal board a little similar to the one IV uses. "We've had a similar problem a few weeks ago, and it took me ages to figure out, but it turned out it was just a faulty cable head."
The girl handed you the small digital modeler while you chuckled shyly to yourself. Quickly, you bypassed the faulty conditioner, rerouted the box signal, and isolated the ground hum in under three minutes. You signaled to the guitar tech to try again, and when he struck a test chord, the sound came out crystal clear.ย
Both techs thanked you, and you just waved them off saying it was nothing, going back to your work, still under Noah's stare.ย
"No wonder Chris couldn't stop talking about you, roadie," Noah said loud enough to steal your attention. "Thank you, really. You're a lifesaver."
He extended his hand to you, and you felt Vessel's eyes burn holes on the side of your head when you took it.ย
"It's nothing," you shrugged. "Jolly would've fixed it in seconds."
"I think so, but that's not the point," he said. "And you didn't have to. Are you staying to watch the show?"
You thought about it for a second, feeling all of your muscles complaining.ย
"Maybe a few songs," you told him. "I'm very tired, but I have to get back to work. Have a great show, Noah."
The singer tipped his head to you, and Vessel took the chance to slip away too, wishing Noah good luck with his set. You felt Vessel lingering behind you, and for a while, you allowed him to be there, just appreciating his soft presence around you while you unplugged cable after cable.ย
"Something bothering you, Ves?," you asked after catching his eyes lingering on your face for a while. "What did Noah wanted to talk about?"
He considered telling you that ultimately, Noah seemed to want to talk about you. He didn't have the courage though, given how keen you seemed to be to take any job offer they would have for you.ย
"Just... Work," he huffed, and you laughed.ย
"I bet you loved that," you joked, ruffling his hair.
Vessel let out a small laugh and fell silent for a few minutes.ย
"Do you feel appreciated here, angel?," he suddenly asked, making you halt.ย
"Huh? What do you mean?," you sounded very confused.
"Is this work... Satisfactory? I mean, I know you love your work. But is it rewarding? Not the work exactly, but working with us, in this crew?"
The babblering stunned you.ย
"What are you on about?," you let out a stunned laugh. "Of course it is rewarding. Don't I seem happy enough?"
Vessel nodded. "You do, it's just... Are you happy with the work? Forget what's going on between us," he gestured between the both of you, his voice dropping a few octaves so he wouldn't be heard. "If you were just working, considering everything, considering how everyone treats you, would you be happy?"
"Yes, Vessel, of course I would," you replied slowly, looking in his eyes.ย
"Would you be happy enough?," he pushed. "Even with this crew? Even with your position? Even with Jax acting the way he did today?"
"I'm telling you I would," you stepped forward into his space. "Enough for what though? And where's this coming from?"
For a second, Vessel's eyes flickered across your face, wanting to tell you what exactly was on his mind. His shoulders slumped.ย
"Nevermind," he said softly. "I'm just tired. My brain is fried."
You squinted at that. "Is there something you wanna tell me? If so, please tell me."
"No, angel," he lied. "I promise we'll talk about what I was thinking later. I'm gonna get some rest."
Before you had the chance to say anything, Vessel left. You remained there, finishing up your last assignments, eager for some rest even if it was in that damned bus.
---
You decided to take a few minutes to watch only the first couple of songs Bad Omens played that night.ย
It was such a good act, the lighting, the video panel, the pyrotechnics. Their sound was impeccable, the energy was overwhelming, the band looked gigantic on stage. God, you loved your job.ย
But as much fun as you were having, there wasn't one inch of muscle in your body that wasn't complaining about the day. You looked from the wing to the backstage, and saw the last of your colleagues packing up their stuff to leave, so you took that as your cue. Before leaving, you saluted Noah from a distance, and made your way back to the bus, where everyone was loading up again.ย
Dragging your tired feet up the small steps of the bus, you felt a strong hand wrap around your wrist and pull you up. II grabbed your utility bag from you and guided you to the small leather seats, where you sat next to III. The bassist wrapped an arm around your shoulders and pulled you in to tuck your head under his chin.ย
"You were great out there, Giggles," he said sweetly. "Thank you."
"You are not thanking me for doing my job," you huffed a laugh.
"I mean it," he insisted. "You're different. You make things work exactly the way they're supposed to."
"You're drunk," you pointed at the beer can in his hand, and he tsked. IV came to sit by your left, and your eyes drifted through all three of them. "Where's Ves?"
"Said he wasn't feeling that well," II told you, not sounding too worried. When he saw you moving to get up from your seat, he delicately pushed you back down. "He often gets overwhelmed after concerts. I already checked on him, he's fine. Rest."
"He was acting weird earlier," you said, still bracing yourself to get up.
"Huh, that's new, Vessel acting weird," III mocked you, hissing when you pinched him.ย
"I'm serious, shithead," you exclaimed.ย
"I promise you I'll talk to him tomorrow, love," II appeased you. "Try to relax a little."
You sighed deeply and sat back down, rolling your shoulders. III kissed your temple.ย
"Okay, I'm knackered. I'm gonna try to get some rest," the bassist announced, standing up tall and stretching to the point his hands almost hit the ceiling. "And you need to rest too, we'll have a big day tomorrow."
"Will we?," you frowned. "We have two days off until the next gig."
"Mhm, you have two days off from work, but you don't get to have a day off from me," he gestured to his own torso. "Tomorrow you are all mine."
After that, III disappeared into the corridor, being followed by IV who kissed you while you laughed and shook your head. It was II's turn to sit down next to you with a slight grunt, resting a heavy hand on your knee. For a while, neither of you talked, the silence enveloping you like a warm hug, almost lulling you to sleep.ย
"You're very quiet," II commented after several minutes. "Must be so tired, love. You worked way too much today."
The bus came alive, vibrating under you with a hum, and started rolling moments later. You smiled at him.ย
"It was worth it," you responded quietly. "I saw you, you know? At the barricade, when you gave your drumhead to that kid."
II answered with a small, shy grunt, like someone who's been caught doing something private.ย
"He was very small," he explained quietly.ย
The cuteness of the flush on his cheeks almost took you out. You didn't even realize you were smiling so hard until it started to hurt your jaw.
"You seemed touched that someone that small was interested in your work," you said quietly, trying not to squeal.ย
He looked back at you, cheeks still pink, but something truthful behind his eyes. His thumb started drawing circles on your knee.ย
"More often than not I see kids on our concerts," he started with a sigh. "It reminds me of when I was a kid myself, with a small kit in my room, and listening to so many great artists, you know? Eric Moore, Joey Jordison, Derek Roddy... And I would lay in my bed and wonder if I would ever get to be at least almost as great as they were one day.
"I'd never had the confidence to say that I was gonna be like them one day, I just... Asked myself if I had it in me. And what drove me to where I am now wasn't some grand desire to prove myself, it was just the love for music. I remember realizing very soon that despite the different styles, the greatest ones always looked like they were having fun, like they loved their craft more than anything else.ย
"So I kept practicing, and practicing, and studying, and exploring, and figuring things out on my own, playing on smelly pubs with bands that paid me one quid a night, and teaching others what I've learned, and eventually...," he trailed off, words hanging in the air.ย
"It paid off," you finished the sentence for him, unable to look away.ย
II smiled with a puff of air leaving his nose. The caress on your knee turning into soft, rhythmic squeezes.ย
"Yeah," he sighed. "The people I looked up to when I was a kid taught me to have fun with it, no matter how hard it seemed. And Vessel...," II signaled to the corridor that led to the bunks. "I think he believes in me in a way that even I can't believe in myself. And when I see a small child interested in music, I see myself. I want them to have what I have."
Your heart felt too big for your chest. You felt a hot tug deep within you, and any trace of amusement vanished from your features. Turning your torso in his direction, you leaned over the armrest, placed a hand on his thigh and felt the muscle there tightening slightly.
"This is a wonderful sense of responsibility," you told him, tightening your fingers on his leg. "You've become one of the greatest, II. That kid who wondered if he would ever make it, he made it. And those kids at your concert have a wonderful role model to look up to. And it seems to be the only attention you actually enjoy."
His eyes never looked away, floating from your mouth to your forehead, filled with something you didn't remember seeing in them before. Then he leaned away with another sigh, his hand leaving your knee to rest on top of yours on his thigh, fluttering his eyes closed for a moment.ย
"I like kids," he merely said. "And I think they like me. I'm good with them."
"Have you ever considered having one of your own, II?," the question bloomed from your lips without your permission, without you even thinking about it.ย
In that terrifying moment of waiting for his answer, he opened his eyes, and there was something different in them. He was studying you, studying your features, with hunger and adoration. A part of you wondered if his brain was doing the same thing as yours, trying to imagine exactly what a child built from the two of you would look like.ย
II felt the weight of the moment, and didn't want to scare you away with his intensity. So when he thought of a joke to distract you from it, you could see his face melt into a sly smirk.
"Why do you wanna know, love?," he asked, his tone suddenly so flirty, you almost jumped. "Wanna give me a little drummer of my own, do you?"
You felt a sudden, fierce heat twist from your insides and rush to your face, forcing you to look away. You huffed a and shook your head with a flustered smile.ย
"You're fucking impossible," you mumbled, making him laugh out loud.ย
It didn't go unnoticed to you that he didn't answer your question, but you filed that away for later.ย
"Have you?," he asked quietly, eyes scrutinizing your expression. "Ever wanted them?"
You gulped. Your brilliant mind didn't expect the question to be turned back to you.ย
"I don't know...," your voice came out as a whisper. "I spent so much time trying to make it in this industry, living for the next gig, I couldn't even keep a relationship," your throat went dry immediately as you admitted that, poking at your fear of what would happen after that very tour. "It doesn't feel like we have space for it, with the kind of life we have."
II seemed to weigh your words carefully, nodding in understanding.ย
"Not yet," he said, his rough hand caressing yours on his lap.ย
The implication felt heavy, even though you were pretty sure he didn't mean anything by it.ย
"Not yet,", you echoed, unable to suppress either your smile, nor the words that came next. "But... Some day. Some day I'd like that."
He froze for a fraction of a second, and then smiled again.ย
"C'mere," he tugged you until you were inches away from him, and you giggled against his lips.ย
When you covered his mouth with yours, his hand went to your jaw to cradle it gently, while a low rumble of contentment vibrated from his chest to yours. The kiss was gentle, slow, injected with the exhaustion from the day, but that also told him there was no place you would rather be.ย
"You need to sleep, love," he whispered against your lips after he pulled away. "You took care of everyone today, mission accomplished, yeah?"
You nodded, smiling shyly, proud of yourself for finishing the day in such a successful note. You have him another deep kiss before getting up, ready to head to your bunk, but II wasn't having any of it. His hand tugged your wrist deeper into the bus, towards his own bunk.ย
The drummer laid down first and pulled you with him, leaning over you to close the curtain, and he stayed there, hovering, nudging your nose with his. You craddled his face and pulled him in to close the small gap between you, kissing him softly as his hands wandered across your torso, pushing your t-shirt up until you pulled it over your head. Your fingers curled around the collar of his shirt, pulling him to you, your lips kissing from his chin, down to his neck, stopping at the hollow of his throat.ย
He pulled his t-shirt off, the heat from his skin overwhelming you. The desire that took ahold of you would've ignored any exhaustion your muscles were feeling, but II kept you there, pinned beneath him, his kisses wet, warm, and ultimately relaxing, slow and reverent. Your body turned into jelly beneath him, as he laid down by your side and pulled you against his skin, fingers wandering from your stomach up to your ribs, your breasts, thumbing your nipples softly over your bra.ย
The bus began to sway gently, rolling down the highway to your next destination, and the only sound you could hear besides the engine was your wet kisses, and your heavy breathing. His fingers traced a straight line from the valley of your breasts to the button of your trousers. His mouth never left yours as he dipped his fingers inside your underwear, tracing your slit, moaning upon finding you already soaked there.ย
"II...," you moaned against his mouth.ย
"Shhh, I've got you, love...," he whispered very, very quietly. "Just close your eyes and relax for me."
Your inhale came in shaky, and you took a deep breath, trying to force your body to relax as you closed your eyes. He kissed your eyelids closed, the tip of your nose, and the top of your right cheek, while his ring finger drew slow, soft circles over your clit. The wetness made his movements slide over your heat, until he dipped the ring and middle fingers inside.ย
The quiet whimpers drove him mad, his mind flooded with images of the last twenty four hours. You crying underneath him in the wake of your sixth orgasm, Noah Sebastian slipping his phone number in your hand, your wet eyes while watching him perform, you kissing III in front of sixty thousand people, and your talk about having kids just minutes earlier. He groaned and moaned by your ear, trying to stay quiet, whispering incoherent praises against your cheek.ย
"Thank you, love," he said deliriously. "Thank you for taking care of us today. You're perfect. You're beautiful. I'm never letting you go. Ever."
The flutter of your cunt was almost painful, telling him you were close already. You tucked your head on the curve of his neck, clinging to his tattooed torso and inhaling his perfume. There wasn't space to move around, and he wouldn't pick up the pace, just caressing you slowly, pumping his fingers in and out of you, dragging the pads against your front wall.ย
"No one's taking you away from me," he stated into your hair, his fingers angling upward to make you sob. "That's it, love, let it go. Relax and cum for me, right in my hand."
The wet cry that left your throat was almost too loud, only muffled by his skin, and your hips tilted, seeking the breaking point frantically. Even though he felt your collapse approaching, II refused to go faster, his movements only dragging the inevitable in a torturous pace. Your toes curled, and your gasp hit his skin wet and hot.ย
"Cum for me, love," he asked again, quietly. "Gonna make me a daddy one day, yeah? Carry my baby like the good bunny you are. Cum for me."
He didn't even think about what he was saying, but his words snapped you like a twig. Your hips lifted from the small mattress, your breathless scream died muffled against the skin of his neck. Your fierce release clamped on his fingers as if pulling them in, the sheer intensity of it catching both of you off guard.ย
II gasped, looking surprised and utterly ruined, pulling his hand away, slick with your heat that drenched everything, and buried his face on your hair, stunned and entirely undone by how loud your answer had been.

For everyone who hasn't given up on it yet, you are awesome, and I love every single one of you! Hope you enjoy this one!

The first thing IV did when he carried you into the bathroom was to settle you down on the toilet seat, making you giggle amused.ย
"First, you pee," he ordered. "It's important. Then bath."
Both II and IV showered together next you, while you soaked completely relaxed and blew bubbles carelessly as if you hadn't one single worry in the world. They finished their shower, dried themselves up, and decided to wait for you outside.
The perfumed vapours from your bath relaxed your sore but satisfied muscles. It had that generic smell of flowers that every product in a hotel bathroom has, but at that moment it felt like the best perfume in the world. When the water started getting cold, you heard the muffled voices of Vessel and III in the room, and decided it was time to go meet your boys for breakfast.ย
Getting out of the bath was way more challenging than it should have been. Your legs trembled, the muscles on your entire lower half refusing to respond to any command.
You weren't slow because you were tired or sore, but because you were so terrifyingly relaxed you couldn't even convince yourself to rush. Like there wasn't a problem in the world you couldn't fix, not a challenge you couldn't tackle, and you knew even then that that was a dangerous place to be.ย
The colder air in the room hit you, but you didn't even have the chance to feel it before III's long limbs wrapped around you.ย
"There she is, my Giggles," he kissed the side of your head, and then your lips. "Are you okay? How did you sleep?"
You almost forgot you were supposed to be shook and upset about what happened the night before. The smile on your face was genuine.ย
"I'm much better, III," you ruffled his white hair, seeing his eyes widen with a little surprise. "II kept me company through the night."
"Fucking finally," the bassist exclaimed. "Thought you two would never get out of your own arses."
II chuckled from the small table behind you, and the sight was nothing short of beautiful. He was completely relaxed, cheeks flushed, wearing a white robe similar to yours, wet blonde hair messy and pushed back. IV was sitting beside him, picking on the fancy breakfast they had ordered, slightly leaning towards the drummer like a teenager in love.ย
And then, with the habit you developed of checking if every single one of them were in the room with you, you noticed Vessel sitting on the corner of the couch, a little away from everyone, in silence.ย
"Come eat, love," II pushed the chair in front of him with his foot. "Coffee will get cold."
"Yeah, one sec," you smiled, slipping from III's hug, walking towards Vessel who looked at you, and then at the carpet, almost as if he didn't want to maintain eye contact. "You okay, Ves?"
He smiled a tight smile, and nodded. You weren't convinced, but thought you wouldn't get anything out of him right there.
"Come," you said, wrapping your fingers around his.ย "Have breakfast with me. Sit next to me."
Something about Vessel made you a hundred times softer than you already were. It wasn't pity, it wasn't you trying to fix whatever some may think was wrong with him. Truth was, you kind of envied his softness, his capability of living within his emotions the whole time.ย
He wasn't perfect, far from it, and probably not even close to accept himself like the others did, but he wasn't scared of looking into the abyss of himself, and that alone was a lot. His face melted into a fond grin, and he got up first, guiding you to the improvised breakfast table. The small, round table in the corner of the room was filled with joy, cramped with pastries and smiling boys.ย
Vessel seemed more focused on making sure you would eat than feeding himself. He didn't practically shoved food into your mouth like II did, but he'd watch intently, almost without blinking, lightly chuckling when you tried to speak with your mouth full. Things were easy, and fun, and almost enough to convince you they could stay like this forever.
No one touched on the subject of what happened the night before, nor asked you how things would play out from then on. Maybe they didn't want to burst the bubble, or maybe they just didn't remember to ask. The latter felt like the most likely.
II and IV finished their breakfast and went to get dressed, so you decided to do the same. III left to get some things he would need for the day in his room, and when you were tying your boots II came up to you with his phone in his hand.ย
"Jax wants me to discuss some things for today, love," he informed. "Take your time getting ready, the rest of the crew is still getting breakfast. I'll see you in the bus, yeah?"
The drummer tucked a piece of your hair behind your ear and leaned down to kiss you. The proximity triggered your whole body, making you pull him by the collar of his soft black t-shirt and deepen the kiss. His hand felt so good on the base of your neck, his thumb tracing caresses on the column of your throat.ย
You felt like a teenager with the biggest crush of her life, your brain swimming with love hormones every time one of them looked at you the way II was looking at you at that moment, like he would rather go blind than to look anywhere else. He caught your lower lip between his teeth and let go of it with a harsh pull. IV said he'd go with him, and after kissing your knuckles the door closed behind them, leaving you and Vessel alone.ย
"So," you started, fastening the straps on your boots. "Wanna tell me what's bothering you?"
He didn't look at you, just shrugged.
"Don't shut me out, Ves," you asked, hoping it wouldn't sound like you were begging. "Not after everything we already went through."
He looked at you from the corner of his eye first, a green gem shining your way in the morning light. Then he looked straight ahead again, towards the wall, and sighed deeply.
"How's it gonna be, from now on?," his voice was so quiet, for a while you wondered whether he was talking to you or to himself.
"How what is going to be?"
Vessel shifted on his seat, restless.ย
"Do I keep doing what I was doing? Keeping my distance, letting you work, giving you room to breathe?," there was no bite in his voice, but a careful attempt of investigation, as if he was inspecting a hallway in the dark.ย
You took a deep breath. You knew what you wanted. II's confession the night before, when he said he didn't want to keep pretending that that didn't mean anything for him, kept replaying in your mind.ย
"I'm not really sure about how to do this, Ves," you quietly confessed.ย
He was ready for what he thought you meant by that, and there is such thing as being too prepared. You watched Vessel get up, suddenly a little too restless to stay seated.ย
"It's fine," he said softly, turning towards the balcony. Again, no bite, just a small defeated sound.
"It obviously isn't," you pointed out. "Tell me what you're thinking."
"II was my last hope for you to change your mind, and not treat meโtreat us, as a dirty secret," he said in one breath. "I thought he'd change your mind, that you'd listen to him. II is reasonable, but persistent. He knows how to convince, and how to compromise."
Vessel pushed away from the balcony, and walked over to you in the sofa. He didn't want to loom over you, so he sat down by your side, gently took your hand in his, tugging you to look at him.ย
"I don't mean to push you," he tried to explain. "But are you sure you're doing this just for your work?"
There was no way you could've known what he was hinting at.ย
"Why? What do you think I'm doing?," you weren't feeling defensive, only genuinely curious.ย
He shook his head, his beautiful light brown hair falling over his eyes.ย
"Are you really sure this is really about the work?," he insisted. "Because I've been a secret before, you know? I've tried... I've tried so fucking hard to be with someone who was ashamed of having me by her side. I know it entirely too well, the routine of a woman who thinks I'm only good at night, and I'm not sure if I can do this again. I want to, though, I wanna at least try, if that's just what you want from me. But the others... They don't deserve it. I don't thinkโ," Vessel took a really deep breath, the air coming out in shaky puffs from his throat. "I don't think they should be treated like a dirty secret. I need to know if you're really just protecting your job, or if you're protecting yourself from us."
Your mouth opened and closed a few times without a sound. It felt like a slap in the face, the fact that you were being accused of using them, the same way you once feared they were using you.ย
"Vessel, I don'tโI'm notโ," you hated the loss for words at such crucial moment, because you weren't... Like that.ย
It didn't matter what kind of trauma Vessel carried with him. It didn't matter how he felt about himself, or what it looked like from the outside. This thing he was afraid of didn't exist in you.ย
"It's okay," he said, heartbreakingly quiet, terrifyingly gentle. "I told you, I want to give you what you need, I'm just... I'm scared I don't have it in me anymore."
There wasn't a way of telling how much time went by of you reassuring him, repeating over and over that really, no one deserved to be treated like a secret, that you didn't want him only at night, that this whole idea was absurd. It felt alien, even, to think someone would look at Vessel and not want to climb him like a tree, not want to kiss him in front of everyone, to be able to claim him and not want to. But the words fell limp every time they hit his walls.ย
For a man whose soul was built on scars and old ghosts, his armor had grown thicker with time. His jaw kept tightening, a bitter reflex, and his fingers slightly loosened around yours. Deep down, he knew you didn't mean it like that, but the remnants of feeling unsafe, of feeling wanted only sometimes, of feeling seen only when it was convenient, didn't leave much room for logic.ย
In the dark corners of his mind, it wasn't a feeling, but a fact, that he was inadequate, ugly, unlovable. Those weren't momentary hiccups, those were his identity. And that the black ink imprint he left on others were shameful, something that could even be adored at some point, but discarded when convenience called for it.ย
It was a default setting that wouldn't be easily rewritten: I am the problem. I am the thing people hide.
But you tried. You used every word you could think of to try and show him what he meant to you. And it became quite clear to you very soon that only words wouldn't cut it this time, when you told him he was your anchor, that he was what you searched for every time he was away, that his light, his passion, his surrender to his own emotions, were your compass, and his response was a mere nod.
"I hear you, angel," he murmured with dead eyes. "I get it, I do. Thank you."
He was agreeing with you just to stop the bleeding, already preparing to retreat back into the shadows where it was safe, where he knew the rules.
It would be impossible to pinpoint exactly when you made up your mind. It might have been when II told you he didn't want to pretend anymore, or when III caught you by the hair and told you he doesn't do secrets, or when IV thought you didn't like him but was willing to risk his career for you anyway. Or it might have been right there, when Vessel told you he never felt loved in daylight.ย
You couldn't tell exactly what or when, but something inside you broke, and suddenly, you could see it clearly. You loved them. They loved you.ย
It wasn't something anyone could explain, but you knew you would do anything for them. Anything, if it meant they were happy. Anything, so you wouldn't see what you were seeing in Vessel's eyes.ย
You looked at your wrist watch.
"It's almost time," you suddenly announced, making him look at you. "Go get your things, we need to get to the venue."
"It's alright, you go with the gear," he shook his head, getting up from the couch. "We'll go by car in time for soundcheck."
"No, you're coming with me," you demanded. "If you don't have anything else to do, I'd appreciate if you could stay close while I work?"
Vessel looked at you suspiciously. He thought you were only asking him that to make him feel wanted, but he also wouldn't say no to such request. You got up as well, and grabbed his hand, pulling him towards the door.
If he wouldn't listen to you, you would show him, the same way they did to you.ย
You understood Vessel, you really did. Words only go so far, and you realized then that the four of them didn't waste much time with words, but with actions instead.ย
They cared for you, they were always there for you when you needed them, they reached for you when you distanced yourself from them. So it was your turn now, to act brave, to love loud, to be consumed by it and see what it turns you into.ย
In the elevator, you kept both his hands in yours, and started talking about the specifics of the festival until a small smile bloomed on his face. He looked down at you with nothing short of adoration, no matter how hurt he was. And when the doors opened to the hotel lobby, it was littered with both your crew and the local one, roadies, techs, sound and light engineers, stage managers, tour managers, label managers.ย
And you pulled Vessel by the hand anyway. You wrapped yourself around his arm, and looked up to him with stars behind your eyes. He looked apprehensive, not wanting you to do anything you would regret later on.ย
You saw III and IV talking to Jax and another roadie at the opposite side of the lobby, and you pulled Vessel with you towards them, lacing your fingers together. You were going to hold his hand on the bus, and you were going to ruffle his hair during production, and you would kiss him in the middle of the stage if it was what it took for him to believe he belonged to the daylight as well as the night.ย
Vessel let himself be pulled towards his bandmates, your steps determined and fast, eyes set on the back of III's head. The first person who saw you approaching while pulling Vessel with you was Jax.ย
"Good morning," you said cheerfully, and they all looked a little taken aback by your tone before greeting you.ย
"Morning, pet," III said from your right, pretending he was seeing you for the first time that day, smile hidden behind a paper cup filled with coffee. "Looking beautiful as ever."
Seeing III's effort to keep it casual even after reinstating time and time again that he hated keeping secrets, made you even more grateful for their respect for your boundaries, even when it hurt them. Especially when it hurt them. But you were done with those boundaries now.ย
First, you smiled at him, in a way you usually reserved for closed doors. Then, as if your free hand had a mind of its own, it reached for the soft cotton of III's black hoodie, and closed a fist around it. You leaned forward while pulling him to you at the same time, placing a firm, deliberate kiss on his cheek, while your hand rose to stroke the jawline you absolutely loved.ย
The action was met with a yelp from him, a genuine sound born in his throat while his jaw slackened.ย
"What theโwhat are youโ," his lack of words was nothing but adorable, and his mumbling was a bit too loud for the lobby, echoing across the marble floors.ย
His hand shot up to your waist, but stopped midway and hovered there, not wanting to cross any lines, but you could see it, how much he wanted to pull you in, how much he wanted to be louder than you. But he didn't, like a gentleman, III just tried to laugh it off, tried to regain his bravado but failed miserably, hands awkwardly twitching, face glowing red. Your hand remained stroking the short blonde stubble on his jaw for a heartbeat longer.ย
You looked at him from your eyelashes, then at IV, then at Vessel, who looked as stunned as he was, the guitarist looking one second away from pulling you to him by the hair. Not that you would be so opposed to it at that point. But you just shrugged and laughed, a clear and genuine sound, that the boys wondered if they had any permission to mimic.ย
Vessel's massive hand twitched in your grasp, and instead of letting go, you tugged him forward, until his knee hit the back of your thigh. You've been hugged by them before, you've kissed their masked faces after concerts to congratulate them, but this was nothing like it. Holding Vessel's hand, kissing III's face, wasn't a declaration of what have been happening inside hotel rooms between the five of you, but it still was incredibly flirty, enough to make everyone wonder what exactly were you doing.
"Ah, there he is," III finally put a whole sentence together, looking above your shoulder.ย
As always, you felt II before you saw him, something about his energy coming in waves from behind you, making you turn slightly at the direction III was looking at. II was maskless, sporting a smile that almost screamed that he got laid the night before, holding two steaming cups.ย
"Excuse the delay," the drummer finally said. "Saw you crossing the lobby and figured you'd want some coffee before leaving."
You smiled sheepishly with gratitude, taking the cup from him and blowing on it before taking a sip.ย
"Thank you, II," you said lovingly, surprising even yourself with the lovestruck tone.
That was the first time your hand left Vessel's, when you carefully slid your fingers away from him to grab at the hem of II's shirt, tugging on it slightly before he could retreat into the background. Stay here, you meant to say, looking at him and hoping he would understand. He blinked, a soft, infatuated smile pulling at his mouth as he instantly dropped his anchor right beside you.ย
Finding yourself surrounded, the atmosphere would've been perfect if Jax hadn't felt the need to burst the bubble.
"Ahem," your manager gave one discreet step forward. "We had changes on the schedule, rookie", he handed you a few lose sheets of paper with the new schedule, color coded and organized with the bands that were supposed to share the stage with you. "Main stage load-in is shifted up by thirty minutes because of a weather delay on the secondary stage. I need someone to review the patch-panel assignments for the festival's shared audio rack."
You nodded, looking at the plan in your hand once again. From your peripheral vision, you could see IV crooning his neck to look at the schedule as well. For one second, you thought he was going to rest his chin on your shoulder.ย
"We'll be playing after Bad Omens, this patch-panel will be fine," he offered, low, soft voice indicating he was talking to you rather than Jax. "The secondary stage bleed I heard last night worries me more."
The guitarist's technical ears have been helpful to you since day one. Your professional side struggled a little bit with it, saying you shouldn't rely on the talent to tell you what to do. A more rational voice, though, told you that if you hadn't been so hesitant and actually listened to him, you would've learned plenty by now.
"IV's right," you told Jax. "The bleeding is gonna hit the drums mics if we don't adjust theย baffling on the riser."ย
The way Jax looked at you didn't sit well, as if your manager was looking for a slip, anything wrong with your professionalism, so he could start picking at you like the rest of the crew. Your back went rigid, your eyes more alert. It would definitely be a hit, if you lost Jax' trust in the process of choosing your boys.ย
You felt a heavy hand on your shoulder, and instantly knew it was Vessel's. Jax let out a heavy sigh.
"Good point," he offered. "I'm gonna have Marcus move the riser and redo the cabling."
"Actually," you said quickly, muscles jumping at the mention of Marcus' name. "I was hoping I could be the one to do it? Sam has been teaching me all things drums andโ"
"You're already rigging the bass and the guitar practically by yourself," Jax interrupted, raising his hand. "One person can't take care of the whole stage alone."
But you wanted to, oh how you wanted to. Not a chance you would let those roadies anywhere near your band.
"Butโ"
"No, we need to be faster and more practical tonight, rookie," Jax interrupted. "I respect the enthusiasm, but with Marcus' strength and experience he'll get it done in half the time."
Men, you thought, fighting hard not to roll your eyes.ย
"Get Andy and Sam to do it then," II suddenly spoke. "You know I trust your judgement, Jax, and I agree she shouldn't be doing everything by herself. But you also know I can't stand that roadie, and I don't want him touching the riser or my kit."ย
Jax nodded, seemingly a little bitter about it.ย
"Fine," the manager said, exhaling heavily through his nose. "I'll talk to them and get them to do it."
"If I may, Jax," you started shyly. "The lighting team will need all help they can get, and Marcus, Zach, and such, have the kind of experience they'll need."
Your manager tilted his head, considering. "Thanks for the input, rookie. Go get ready and I'll talk to Andy."
"I'm ready," you announced. "I'll go get Andy and we'll be in the bus in ten. Don't you worry about a thing, boss."
Jax seemed pleased at that, and you turned on your heels to find Andy. Your stomach was fluttering with a new form of happiness, your whole body vibrating in optmism. You could do this.ย
You could give your best at work without sacrificing your heart. If people thought you were less because of who you loved, they would have to work extra hard to find flaws in your work.ย
"You did great, love," II quietly said by your ear, sounding proud and filled with joy. "But don't worry about us, yeah? You don't have to overwork yourself or fall into Jax's bad side because of us. We'll handle the roadies."
"Been dying to, actually," IV mumbled under his breath.ย
"You won't do anything," you commanded, with no real bite to your voice.ย
IV smiled sheepishly, and was still a little startled when you reached out to caress his face, your hand lingering on the base of his neck until he hummed a pleased note.ย
"You'll all behave and we'll see this tour through without any other issues," you said firmly, stopping before reaching the glass doors. "No threats, no nasty comments, no getting anyone fired without a good reason, and especially, no violence whatsoever, no matter the circumstances. Am I clear?"
"We have good reasons alright," III grumbled, shooting you a nasty look.
"III," you called. "Don't do this, please. I'm asking you. All of you."
The response was a jumble of bitter 'yeahs' and 'fines', which wasn't ideal, but would be enough if it wasn't for IV's grumpy silence.ย
"Ivy," you called, piercing blue eyes shining your way. "Was I clear?"
A heavy puff of air left his nose. "The 'no matter the circumstances' part doesn't sit well with me, darling," he admitted easily.ย
"Nothing they do will justify lowering ourselves down to their level," you chastised, listening to even Vessel mumble something like "well, that's a bit of a stretch."
IV scoffed. "That's not true, is it."
"IV," you insisted.
"Best I can do is promise I'll try," he said bitterly.
You looked at him with a hard expression, knowing you probably wouldn't win that fight, not in the middle of the lobby, in the aftermath of what Marcus and Zach just tried to do to you. Your expression melted soon enough, shoulders falling away from your ears, more at ease.ย
"I'll take it," you conceded, earning a charming wink from him. "For now."ย
After the brief talk, your hand searched for Vessel's again, automatically. You weren't thinking about any consequences, and you didn't notice people staring. To your satisfaction, you felt Vessel eventually relax in your grasp, his thumb caressing your knuckles, fingers gripping your forearm when you needed to use your hand for something else.ย
It never occurred to you that Vessel might be a touchy person until you realized he was holding back only for your sake. It should've been obvious, considering he was always touching his bandmates, running his fingers through III's hair, holding IV by the shoulders, placing a firm, gentle hand on the back of II's neck. You just never considered yourself one of them, you supposed.
Eventually, you found a very dumbfounded looking Andy, his eyes unable to focus on you, jumping to the men surrounding you, seemingly without his permission. It was comical, seeing him squint at the way III was talking to Vessel, while the singer had both hands where your neck met your shoulders, like a collar of flesh.ย
"II wants you to help Sam with the riser," you informed your friend. "He says he trust your work, and it's important that we move it just right because of the bleeding from the secondary stage."
You watched your friend's chest swell with pride.
"Don't worry, we'll get it done perfectly in no time," he said directly to II standing by your side, and the drummer thanked him. "What happened to you last night, rookie?," Andy asked, eyes jumping to the band once again. "You disappeared from the party!"
"I promise I'll tell you later," you said, taking a step back, feeling the weight of everything you had to live the last 24 hours.ย
"Come on, you always say that!," Andy demanded, throwing his cup of coffee in the trash with unnecessary force.ย
"Well, this time I mean it," you looked at him, and then at your boys. "I'm done with secrets."
---
Not that you really had to say anything.ย
Until that moment, the morning schedule before a concert was a very well oiled machine, and it was always the same routine: the crew would load up one bus that followed the trucks to the venue for load-in, and sweat it through while the band rest in the sterile luxury of their hotel rooms. It was important that the talent was well rested for soundcheck, and that everything was ready for when they arrived. Breaking such choreography was too obvious of a neon sign by itself, and the way you did it wasn't exactly discreet either.ย
It started with the band climbing up the crew bus before you, that very morning. You and Andy were one of the last to hop on the bus, which meant most of your colleagues were already there to watch, when Vessel lead the rest of his bandmates to the lounge area. He sat at the forward-facing leather seats, with III by his side, the bassist's long legs stretched over the armrest.ย
II assumed his position one step behind you, as he always did, after you entered. IV occupied the corridor, cold, piercing eyes staring at any crew member who dared to linger too much. The guitarist, always the most polite and gentle of the four, was now growing colder and colder towards the crew, save for Andy and Sam.ย
Even though you knew it was because of Marcus and Zach, a silly part of yourself still insisted on feeling guilty, an annoying voice inside your head telling you were the toxic element in the room, you were poisoning the dynamics between band and crew. It wasn't true though, and no one else was to blame except two roadies who should be forbidden of getting anywhere near anyone ever again. You were trying to convince yourself of this while removing the heavy tool bag from your tired shoulder, dropping it heavily on the small table in front of Vessel, massaging your shoulder harshly.ย
You felt a strong hand wrap around yours and tug on it. Not demanding, just tentative, a quiet question asked in front of everyone. It took you a little too long to understand it.ย
Vessel tugged you forward once again, looking into your eyes. You started suspecting what he meant, seeing his shoulders squared, and eyes round and pleading, as if he was already fully prepared for you to retreat, to deny him. You let your body be guided though, and after the third soft pull from his hand, you stopped right between his thighs.ย
His breath hitched quietly, noticing your body language fully open and malleable, completely different from what he expected. You finally understood, and smiled at him. Turning sideways, you let your weight sink on his lap, leaving his hand to rest across your legs while you wraped your arms around his broad shoulders.ย
They all seemed surprised to see you sinking into his embrace as if you craved his protection, including Andy and the two audio techs sitting across from you, who couldn't help but stare. It took Vessel a few seconds to slowly start moving his arms, wrapping them around your waist, delicately at first, as if he was afraid of scaring you away. When he noticed you wouldn't jump away from him, his fingers dug into the flesh beneath your ribs almost to the point of bruising, pulling you to his chest in a possessive grip.ย
Vessel slotted his in the crook of your neck, inhaling deeply when your fingers tangled to the short hairs on the nape of his neck. He didn't kiss you, didn't even touch any skin that wasn't covered by clothes, but he didn't have to.
That embrace was way more intimate than most makeout sessions you had before meeting them, and deep down you were aware everyone could see it, Jax could see it, the tour managers could see it. It was fine by you. As long as you and your boys were happy.ย
---
Vessel only let you go when you arrived at the festival grounds. Until then, you kept talking to them while resting your hands on the singer's shoulder. Anyone could see how happy you were, how your colleagues chose to interpret that was none of your concern.ย
Just like most of the crew, Andy couldn't stop staring, even though you could see how hard he tried to. IV took a seat by the aisle, staring down anyone who lingered for too long, until they looked away. III kept his feet up, talking with a smile that must've hurt, radiating a chaotic energy that felt both proud and possessively jealous, as if he was just waiting for his turn at that point.ย
And II, oh your beloved II, sat right across from you in a feeble attempt to protect you and Vessel from unwanted eyes, just in case you regretted the public displays.ย
When the bus stopped at the venue, the adrenaline from having to build a show of that magnitude was already pumping through your veins. The roadies started to filter out through the tiny bus door, and you slowly peeled yourself away from Vessel's warm embrace, part of you wishing you could stay there for the rest of the day, and part of you wanting to get work done so you could see them on stage again. Andy stopped at the door and signaled for you to come, and Vessel let you go half-heartedly, your hand sliding from his grasp slowly.
Jax had his clipboard and a laser-focus stare when you exited the bus. He squinted at you, and even though your stomach flipped, you went for a confident smile.ย
"Got everything you need, rookie?," he asked you. "Remember your schedule?"
You gulped. "Yeah, boss, I got it," you nodded firmly.
It was easy to see he wanted to ask what were you playing at, if the distractions wouldn't get in the way of your job, but Jax wasn't this kind of guy. So you decided to just move on.ย
Andy wrapped a firm hand around your wrist and pulled you forward with him.ย
"You're not getting away this time, Miss," he said between gritted teeth. "You're telling me everything."
Letting yourself be dragged to the loading docks to oversee the assembly of a massive video wall truss, you were thankful that Andy waited small moments of privacy to start asking questions. Once you watched the crew quietly disperse for the first cigarette break, Andy's hand covered your busy fists.
"Alright, drop those testers for a second," he asked, leaning against a road case. "Because I'm losing my mind here. I thought you said you were with III? Then, after you left us last night, I saw you talking to the Bad Omens' frontman, and IV looks one second away to throw a fit and drag you by the hair out of there," you watched him take a comically exasperated bite out of his protein bar. "Then, you suddenly storm out, and I watch II rush out behind you like the building was on fire, and the five of you simply disappeared. Even people from the label were looking for them. And then, this morning, you walk into the lobby glued to Vessel's arm, and you sit on his knee while riding here as if it was the most normal thing in the world."
Andy's speech sounded so rehearsed you wondered how many times he went through those facts in his head before finally saying them out loud. A couple of roadies passed by staring at you, and you kept waiting for them to leave before saying something.ย
"Okay," you nodded, suddenly aware that you didn't know how to say what you wanted to say. "I'm gonna tell you, but don't make a big fuss over it?," you pleaded, eyebrows scrunched together.ย
He scoffs. "Rookie, it is a big fuss already, in case you didn't notice, everyone is looking, everyone is commenting already. They have been behaving strange for a while now, but having them here in the morning just to look at you is just... Bizarre."
You nodded. "I know," you agreed, inhaling heavily, you wished there was a way for you to tell him what you wanted in one single breath. "It's all of them. I'm with all of them."
Andy froze, protein bar stopping halfway to his mouth. He blinked once. Twice.
"All... Four?"
"... Yeah..."
A moment passed in absolute silence, with Andy just staring at you, only a blank expression on his face. And then he screeched.ย
"I knew it!!!," he all but yelled, laughing hysterically.
"Shhhh," you jumped on him, making him shut up. "I know everyone can see it, but you don't have to yell!"
"Okay, okay, just take a step back, I don't want IV chasing me out of this venue," he joked, wiping the corner of his eye, watching you pull a face. "I'm joking! I'm joking."ย
Huffing a shy laugh, you shook your head. How was this your life?ย
"But yeah... Before you ask, no, I don't know how to navigate it, or where we're going with it," you hated how bitter you sound at that. "I'm trying to figure out how to go forward without management losing their minds."
"Forget about management," he advised, waving a hand at you. "If you were a guy with a bunch of women no one would bat an eye. They're used to it, and they will survive. All you gotta do is ignore some nasty comments and fifth grade jokes."
"Yeah, I'm worried about my job, though," you confessed. "Scared that management will deem me a distraction and send me packing."
Andy scoffed at that. "They won't. You're great at your job, you do it better than half the people here," he offered you a gentle squeeze on your shoulder, but then wiggled his eyebrows at you. "And I suppose having the whole band wrapped around your finger would help too."
You groaned and threw the rag you were using to clean your hands at him, who laughed.ย
"This job is important to me," you merely said, shrugging.ย
"Now more than ever, I assume," he commented. "Don't worry about the crew, or your job, you are safe. There are more important subjects at the moment."
He laughed at your raised eyebrow. "Such as...?"
"How are they?," he shot without batting an eye, coming closer to you.ย
"They're fine," you played dumb, shrugging.ย
"Come on, you know what I mean," he stepped even closer, his voice dropping to a very quiet whisper. "You gotta tell me something, anything, because... All four? I mean, at once? Separately? How does the logistics work?"
The heat creeping up your face could burn someone, but you laughed the lightest, most carefree laugh anyone has ever heard coming from you. "It's none of your business! All I'm gonna say it's that it works. They're good," you admitted, letting your arms fall, biting down on a small smile playing at your lips. "They're actually really good."ย
"Yeah?," he sounded terrifyingly interested. "None of them just lie there like a star fish and let you do the work, right? Many famous people are like this."
Your mind took you back to that very morning, being sandwiched between II and IV, while they pistoned their hips purposefully out if sync. You shook your head as if trying to get water out of your ears.ย
"Nope," you looked away. "Not their style at all."ย
"You're thinking of a specific situation, aren't you, you slut?"ย
You threw your head back with laughter, but shrugged. "I was with them this morning."
"All of them?," Andy gawked.ย
"No," you said, watching his comically disappointed expression. "Only two."
And like magic, the light was back in his eyes.ย
"Who?? How was it?! What did you do??," you laughed when he grabbed you by your arms and lightly shook you. "Goddamnit, rookie!"
"A lady never tells," you laughed harder at the vein popping on his neck.ย
"You're gonna give me a stroke," he cried. "Come on, just one little crumb, I'm fucking begging you. One single little thing about each. Is II as much of a dom as he looks? Is III as chaotic as he looks? How is IV and Vessel? Tell me something about IV, cause I've never met someone who looked so kinky and so innocent at the same time."
The laughter coming from you both could be heard for miles. The vulnerabilities and intimacy of your boys were too precious for you to reveal it like that, so you went for playful tease.ย
"Let's just say IV was a pleasant surprise," you started, sliding a cable into place and clicking the lock with a satisfying snap. "II knows what he wants, III lives up to his reputation, and Ves... Well, I'll let you imagine that one."
"I hate you," he playfully shoved you. "Okay, serious question though," his voice dropped to an even lower register. "Do they treat you right? How does it work? Is it just sex or...?"
You gulped, smile faltering for a second. At this point, there wasn't much space for you to doubt that, whatever it was that you had, it wasn't just sex. The problem was that you still didn't have a name for it.ย
Regardless of your insecurities, you thought about the talks you had with each of them recently, and a sweeter, fonder smile found its way back to your face.ย
"Yeah...," you nodded, grateful for his concern. "They've been really good to me. And... I don't know, Andy. They say this isn't just sex, that they want something more, but... You know it's hard to believe."
"I know," he said gently, looking at you with empathy. "But how do you feel?"
Your heart tightened in your chest. Andy observed your eyes drift from the console panel to a point above his shoulder, and an expression he never saw on your face bloomed. A sad smile, followed by a painful sigh, as if every thought that could make you sad flooded your mind at once.ย
He turned around to see what you were looking at, and found the band in a loose semi circle while talking to one of the tour managers. Vessel didn't seem to be present for the conversation at all, looking in your direction the entire time. You smiled at the singer, and he smiled back, shyly.ย
After sharing that small moment with Vessel, you tried to focus on the conversation, opening your mouth for the thousandth time to try and explain the unexplainable, but Andy interrupted your silly attempt.ย
"Jesus, rookie," he exhaled, disbelief all over his face. "Falling for one frontman is bad enough. Catching feelings for a whole band is gonna fucking ruin you."
A breath left your lips, and you didn't know if it was a laugh or a sob.ย
"I know," you merely agreed, chuckling to yourself but looking at the ground. "You're right."
"Is there any evidence that they feel the same?," he asked, now more concerned than curious. "Wouldn't they say whatever you wanna hear just to get you into bed?"
"I considered it," you admitted easily. "I still think about it. I even told them that they could be honest, I'd still be down for casual sex if that's what they wanted."
"And what did they say to that?"
"III went ballistic," you snorted. "Said I put him through enough by asking him not to grab me and kiss me in front of the crew."
Andy didn't find that hard to believe. "Definitely looks like you are the only thing they wanna look at," he signaled with his chin towards them, and now III and IV were staring at you as well. "Last night, when they realized you had left the party, II literally ran after you. IV looked like he was about to murder someone."
Your eyes went wide. "Oh, he wanted to. He wouldn't, but I could see he wanted to," you took a swig from the water bottle Andy handed to you. "After I left the lounge, Marcus and Zach cornered me on my way to the elevators."
The whole loud and gossipy demeanor fell off from Andy.
"What did they do?," he asked very quietly.
You scoured your brain for more tasteful words, suddenly too self aware for some reason, as if you had anything to be ashamed of.ย
"They made it clear they knew I'm with the band," you started carefully, unable to look at him. "And that they thought they could touch me as well, since 'everyone is doing it'. They almost had me pinned against the fire door."
Andy hissed a curse under his breath. "I'm so sorry, rookie," he didn't have much to say. "They're absolute pieces of shit. They're popular in the industry for making women quit."
They were in for a treat if they thought you would back down because of two small dicks like those.
"They couldn't do anything though," you continued. "The band showed up, all of them. II and IV arrived first, and they immediately backed down. There was no need for confrontation, as unfortunate it seemed to be for IV."
"Okay...," he seemed deep in thought. "And why do they still have their front teeth? And their jobs?"
The unimpressed look on your face could cut through stone. "Don't even joke about it. Nothing happened to them because they didn't do anything. They threatened me, and even that I wouldn't be able to prove. If the boys had done anything they would've told a completely different story to the label and to the media. And Marcus is way more well-connected in the industry than I am, had he been fired, he would've bad mouthed me to the point I wouldn't ever work again."
He didn't even considered your reasoning. "Come on, rookie...," he huffed. "Those two should be miles away from here and you know it."
"I agree," a deep, velvety, gentle voice came from your side, and you turned with a jump to see Vessel approaching with a new bottle of water. "Everyone else is on a break, angel," the singer pointed out, placing the bottle in your hand before cracking the lid open. "Why aren't you?"
You shrugged, taking a swig and thanking him. "I need to set this rig up before the first band takes the stage," you told him. "Won't have time to do it between breaks."
"Don't overwork yourself," he said, and you wanted to chuckle. A frontman asking a roadie not to overwork herself was beyond outrageous. His hand reached yours, still tentatively, still asking, when he took the cable cutter from you, setting it on the console. "Mind if I have a word with you?"
Vessel looked at Andy, and then back at you. Before Andy could move to give you two some privacy, the singer tugged on your hand, leading you away from the docks.ย
"It's okay, Andrew, you can stay," he said calmly. "I'll give her back to you in no time."
"Okay, just don't break her!," Andy joked. "We're already short staffed as it is."
---
Letting yourself be dragged, your mind was too busy being happy about the strong hold Vessel had on your wrist to actually ask yourself what he wanted, until you found yourself crossing the maze of steel scaffolding to a secluded, dark pocket behind the massive subwoofer arrays, shielded from the rest of the arena. The singer leaned to sit down on a road case, and pulled you to stand between his legs, pulling his medical mask down to his chin. You rested your hands around his neck, caressing his hair.
"Have you been talking about what happened last night?", he asked, as if he was just making conversation, leaning his head into your touch.ย
"Yeah... Andy noticed something wasn't right last night, so I was explaining what happened," you felt Vessel clench his jaw. "It's fine, Ves."
"It's not fine, Angel," he shook his head. "It makes me sick, that they're still working with us, with you. I should've done somethingโ"
Vessel never talked like that about something that's been troubling him, especially people. He has never seemed so honest either, and it was like watching something fascinating bloom from the cracks of a shell.ย
"No, Vessel," you interrupted his spiraling. "Violence would only make everything worse and complicated."
"Still," he insisted, taking your hands away from his neck and gripping your wrists with unusual strengthโnot enough to hurt, just to evidence his discomfort, another thing about him that was new to you. "They should've at least been fired. I should've been the one to do it. I should've ensured they could never look at any of us again."
Your first instinct was to tell him he shouldn't worry about you, to insist yet again that you could take care of yourself. This time though, it didn't feel right.
"Hey," you placed your hand under his chin. "Look at me. It doesn't matter anymore, because they won't try anything else, ever again. You're all watching me now, and everyone knows it. They know now that they can't touch me without starting a war. You're taking care of me, Vessel. I'm safe."
He let out a long breath, hunching a little over you. His arms slithered around your waist, pulling you closer until you were flushed against his body.ย
"I didn't bring you here to talk about them," he said in a whisper, his green eyes scanning your face as if you were a puzzle to be figured out. "They're just a waste of breath."
You nodded, agreeing with him.ย
"What did you want to talk about then?," your hands ran up his chest, his neck, his jaw.
Vessel pulled you in for a kiss that didn't start tentative like his previous gestures. It was hungry, urgent in a way that felt like a hundred questions being asked at once. His fingers dug divots in your waist.ย
But he pulled away way too soon.ย
"The hotel lobby," he started, voice low, inquisitive. "The bus. Since you sat on my knee in front of everyone, I couldn't think about anything else. What... What was that? What did you do that for?"
Oh, bless him. You actually felt it, the stars behind your eyes burning back to life, white hot and blindingly confident. Your hands slithered up the back of his neck and pulled his head towards yours, giving him a kiss before joining your foreheads.ย
"I'm done being a secret people can use against you," you said happily, breathing against his mouth. "And I'm done letting you be a secret they can use against me. You guys are my strength, not my weakness. If people wanna look, whether it's Marcus, or Jax, or whatever, let them look."
His fingers clung hard onto your t-shirt before practically hauling you forwards, so you clashed against his chest, and he swallowed you into his kiss. With it, Vessel hoped to reveal a part of him you still hadn't gotten the chance to see, those dark, all consuming strains he was so ashamed of. It wasn't the soft, trembling devotion of the hotel room, nor the quiet melancholy he shared with you on sleepless nights.ย
This was his raw, unshielded nature laid bare, romantic and desperately poetic, yes, but also fiercely possessive, demanding, and borderline controlling. His hands went to the sides of your head while he licked inside your mouth, his fingers roughly pulling at the roots of your hair while he grunted into your mouth. Vessel kissed you as if he was trying to shove you down his throat, place you inside his chest, force you to become a part of him.ย
When he pulled your face away from his by your hair, he tilted your face upwards to kiss your jaw, your neck, your collarbone. His hand left your hair to find the hem of your shirt, running up inside it to find the soft skin of your stomach, the warmth of your chest. When his fingers dipped in the waistband of your trousers to tug at the button, your brain faintly warned you were in your workplace, but you ignored it until it became white noise, all fuzzy with the way Vessel's teeth dragged on your neck, lightly pulling on the skin.ย
He managed to unbutton your pants and started pulling them down to knead on your ass harshly, making you gasp against his lips before he covered your mouth with his.ย
"Vessel...," you whimpered, standing on your tippy toes to reach his mouth.ย
"Shh, I know, angel," he cooed. "We don't have to go any further if you don't want to. Just let me have this."
But you wanted to.ย
His actions slowed to a questioning tone, hands only gliding over the round of your ass, your hips, your thighs. Are you sure? Do you want this?ย It was what he tried to ask with his fingers.ย
You melted into him, your fist closing around the collar of his shirt, clinging to him in a feeble attempt to climb him. He slowly tried to pull your pants down the rest of the way while kissing you tenderly.ย
"We're gonna get caught," you whispered against his jaw after pulling away from the kiss.ย
It was merely a warning, but you felt his muscles tense under your hand, a deep rumble rolling inside his chest. Did this arouse him? Was it a thrill for him, the risk of getting caught like that?
"We might," he acknowledged quietly and swallowed hard, eyes glimmering your way with a strange spark.ย
Heat pooled inside your panties. Suddenly, you were aroused by it too. You stepped one leg out of the work trousers, letting it loosely wrapped around one of your ankles.ย
Vessel scooped you up, strong hands wrapping and pulling on your waist, setting you astride his muscular thigh and driving it upwards against you. The friction was immediate, devastating, and it would be perfect if it was enough. The hands on your waist dropped down to your hips, guiding them up and down, back and forth, encouraging you to ride him.ย
"Ride my leg, angel," he whispered against the shell of your ear. "Just this, please," and who were you to deny such polite request.ย
Pushing him backwards, Vessel sat back on top of the case, letting go of your hips to brace himself with his hands behind him, slightly leaned back to watch you climb on top of him. His eyes were wide and unfocused when your knees pressed on each side of his thigh, and you straddled it with a flow of successive movements, the friction against your clit immediately back. You looked down and watched his fingers curling inwards, knuckles turning white under the weight of his desire.ย
"Vessel...,"you whimpered as his head lolled back, large body trapped underneath you.ย
The way your hips swayed on his thigh, the way your wet cunt left a dark trail on the linen of his trousers, made him moan and whimper helplessly. As the rhythm picked up, your mouth fell open with louder moans. His hand reached up to your mouth to shut you up, and your brain short-circuited.
"Shh, angel," he breathed, fingers delicately pinching your lips together. "We don't
want to be interrupted, do we."
You shook your head, gaining momentum while he kissed your temple, hearing him hiss soflty as your knee occasionaly brushed his hardness.ย
"Take everything you want," he coaxed, the hand on your mouth sliding down to the column of your neck. "You're so hot, look at you..."
Caving under the weight of his praise, you shuddered and sobbed.ย
"I want you inside me," you begged shamelessly. "Please fuck me, Vessel."
Your cheeks grew hot as you thought he would laugh at your desperation, but the only thing he did was groaning painfully.ย
"I can't do this here," he explained, lowering his lips to you collarbone. "Not like this."
Your insides were starting to clench.ย
"Soon then," you panted. "Promise me you're gonna fuck me soon."
Vessel looked like he was going to cry at any moment. Both of his hands went back to your hips, ripping the control away from you, dictating the rhythm as if he knew your body better than you did.ย
"I promise, I promise...," he mumbled like prayer. "I'd do anything, angel, just cum for me now."
His hands shoved you down on his leg and you sobbed.ย
"I'm close, Ves, I'm gonnaโ"
"Do it, cum for me right here," Vessel's lips brushed against yours with a damp and hot breath, his voice shifting from a desperate plea to a dark, authoritative coaching that claimed every single nerve ending in your body. "Hold onto me and don't fight it. Give it to me."
The dam broke. You let out a muffled cry against the side of his neck, inhaling his sandalwood scent as your orgasm bloomed from your core and slithered up your spine, making you shudder and sob, your body seizing in violent shakes as your hips came to a halt on his trembling thigh. Vessel held you tightly through it, his arms smashing you against his torso until all you could feel was his heat with a bruising, triumphant force, still coaching you through the wreck of your pleasure as you cried.ย
"Shh, I've got you," he whispered in the darkness. "Breathe for me, you did so well. I'm never letting you go again."

Your insides were starting to clench.ย
"I can't do this here," he explained, lowering his lips to you collarbone. "Not like this."

Hello Friends! Its been a minute. I've been dealing with medical issues that made it so that I had to stop working, but on the plus side I completed another revolution around the sun. I hope you are all doing well...well. as well as can be expected considering *gestures at everything*.
So, about the IVy short story I've been working on...
This time I've been away, I was actually using the little time I had to slowly work on both chapter 17 for Missing Limbs, and the IVy short fic I told you guys about a few months ago. Now the short fic is almost ready, but with a teeny tiny problem: it isn't that short. I have a serious problem with being straightforward, and the story ended up way longer than I meant for it to be.
It's a very sugary, tooth-rotting, sort of romcom meet cute, roommate!IV x female reader (with lots of sexual tension and smut at the end).
So, if there's anyone reading this, I wanna know from you guys: would you prefer it if I dropped it in chapters and start reading it sooner while I work on the ending, or should I just drop one giant post after I'm finished?
Drop it in smaller chapters, I wanna start reading it ASAP
Make it just one giant chapter, I wanna read it all in one go
Voting ended onJul 9
P.s.: also let me know if you want to be tagged on it so you won't miss it!
We hope you are doing ok, love! I'm so invested in Missing Limbs and can't wait for another chapter ๐ not rushing you, I just hope you're doing well and taking care of yourself! ๐ซ๐ thank you for everything you do!
Hello, my love! I'm so happy you enjoy it, and I'm so sorry I made you wait. I really struggled with life this past month, and I really didn't have the time or energy to write like I wanted.
It was really hard, and I really missed writing! But I managed to do it little by little, and I have a new chapter almost ready. It will be live in the next days, and I'm gonna be honest: it isn't my best work lol but I really hope everyone gives me a chance to come back to it as I recover!
Thank you so much for the love and patience, and for not giving up on Missing Limbs darling, it means the world! Hope you're well and I'll see you very soon! โค๏ธ
Will there be a new Missing Limbs chapter soon, my dear? I hope you're doing well! Not rushing you, but the last 2 chapters were pure GOLD and I am so incredibly ready for the next one. Thank you for all the hard work you put into these fics, I appreciate you so much! ๐ซถ
Hello, my darling! I'm so sorry for making everyone wait for over a month. Life got the best of me, and I had too little time and energy to dedicate to my writing the way I wanted.
Thankfully things seem to be going back to normal now, and I hope I won't have to delay it so much again. Writing is an absolute joy for me, and having no time for it makes me even more miserable. Thank you so much for the kind words, and it brings me so much joy that you actually like it so much.
When I first started it, I didn't even imagine people enjoying this story as much as I do, and I wouldn't even dream of it becoming as popular as it is now. I want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for all the support and love, it means the world to me to be able to share my little delusions with readers as great as you are. I definitely picked the right fandom!
Anyways, next chapter is ready and will be live soon! And I'm also finishing my IVy short story too, I'm very excited to see what you guys think of it. Again, thank you for the support and patience, and I'm sorry for making you wait.
