sad wet beast of a family
can we consider for a moment how ridiculous albrecht looked coming back to deimos holding an old landline phone, a CRT, a VHS player… and the look on loid’s face as he tries to hobble back home carrying these massive, clunky pieces of old tech? for all of his outward appearances of the typical orokin class, grace and distinction, there just is no graceful way to carry a CRT. and it is hilarious to me.
BEGGING someone to draw this btw
addition: kalymos’s first contact with a wired computer mouse. he chews on it and carries it around in his little mouth (as cats are wont to do)

thinking about how people in present day warframe percieve the infestation versus people in warframe 1999
like in present day the infestation has been around for who knows how long, though of course it's gotten worse of late due to the actions of dr. tengus
however, for the people of 1999 this is probably the first time anyone has ever encountered this threat, and even to us it looks even crazier than usual cause it's interfacing with all this old 90s tech. like there's the existential horror of a space zombie virus that has been festering around for centuries, but then there's the true horror of having your entire society uppended by techrot out of nowhere. techrot with a boyband as its face of all things. and of course the fear of getting caught in the scaldra's crossfire
i hope we get to meet some regular citizens in 1999 just to further explore their reactions to all of this, really drive home this new perspective on the infestation we've otherwise become very accustomed to
credit to cephalongalias for the banger addition in the tags:
really glad you brought up the mutalist strain thing cause i had completely forgotten about it tbh, interesting to see if there's a relation there or if alad v simply rediscovered the infestation's potential for machine interfacing, lots to chew on to figure out the 1999 infestation's relation with time in general!
boops your brain
i see what you did here
i’ve seen like 5 different people now, in response to my infested theory, be like “well duh eleanor can control minds, she’s nyx” and i just gotta say. no, she literally isn’t. do you guys truly think that our girl here, eleanor nightingale, is the same entity as the nyx warframe that was designed by ballas and mass produced to protect/serve the orokin empire?
rebecca has already confirmed that the protoframes are completely separate entities from the warframes they are based on.
albrecht entrati found people infested with the technocyte, found a way to save their life by making them a protoframe in the process, and that is how she (as well as the rest of them) got those powers. that was my theory. he was inspired by different warframes’s designs from the (his) past/(their) future; they are not the same beings.
entrati merely brought the helminth strain of infestation from his time to create partial warframes.
if you wanna discuss theories that’s one thing that i am all for. but if you’re going to just be rude and imply that i’m somehow stupid for even posting what i have, when you don’t even seem to understand what i’m saying, then please, think again before posting. i’m not here for discourse or to start an argument, i’m here for talking about this fun update in a game i like that i’m excited for.
let’s have fun!!! stop trying to pick fights. i’m not here to debate. i’m here to have the party of our lifetime.
Brain hug 🤗
