A wonderful quote from a classic book.
skull of a witch by HOMELYVILLAIN
Breaking a Spell
From Horace’s Epodes, this is a recitation which begs the curse-caster to relent and take it back. This is to be used if you are truly at your wit’s end or if you have been cursed because you had it coming.
Perhaps someone has placed some kind of hex or curse upon you and now, you wish to break it. If you find physical evidence of this hex or curse–such as a sigil, a charm bag, or some other physical marker–then great! You can burn that alongside an offering as you say the following petition. If not, simply burn a generous offering to the gods while stating the following:
iam iam efficaci do manus scientiae, supplex et oro regna per Proserpinae, per et Dianae non movenda numina, per atque libros carminum valentium refixa caelo devocare sidera, parce vocibus tandem sacris citumque retro solve, solve turbinem. dedi satis superque poenarum tibi: fugit iuventas et verecundus color reliquit ossa pelle amicta lurida, tuis capillus albus est odoribus. nullum a labore me reclinat otium, urget diem nox et dies noctem neque est levare tenta spritu praecordia. ergo negatum vincor ut credam miser, Sabella pectus increpare carmina caputque Marsa dissilire nenia. quid amplius vis? o mare et terra, ardeo, quantum neque atro delibutus Hercules Nessi cruore nec Sicana fervida virens in Aetna flamma: tu, donec cinis iniutiosis aridus ventis ferar, cales venenis officina Colchicis? quae finis aut quod me manet stipendium? effare: iussas cum fide poenas luam, paratus expiare, seu poposceris centum iuvencos, sive mendaci lyra voles sonare: ‘tu pudica, tu proba perambulabis astra sidus aureum.’ infamis Helenae Castor offensus vice fraterque Castoris victi prece adempta vati reddidere lumina: et tu–potes nam–solve me dementia, o nec in sepulcris pauperum prudens anus novendalis dissipare pulveres; tibi hospitale pectus et purae manus.
(Already I surrender to your potent knowledge, and as a suppliant I implore you, by the kingdom of Proserpina, by the immovable powers of Diana and by those books of spells that can call down the starts that are fixed in the sky, please stop those sacral words, turn back that swift spinner, turn it back! I have paid the penalty to you enough and more than enough: my youth has fled, the healthy flush has left the sallow flesh that clings to my bones, and your unguents have turned by hair white. No respite releases me from my labour, night follows day follows night and it is impossble for me to breathe deeply and ease my strained heart. And so in my misery I am compelled to believe in that which I denied: that Samnite charms rattle my chest and Marsian chants split my skull. What more do you want? Earth and sea I burn! Hercules smeared in the black gore of Nessus did not burn this hotly, nor do the Sicilian flames that flourish in boiling Etna! Will you keep scorching me like a factory of Colchian poisons until I am but dry ash, swept away by the harmful winds? What end awaits me and what price? Tell me: I shall gladly pay what penalty you demand! I am ready to atone, whether you require one hundred cattle, or if you want my deceitful lyre to sound out, ‘you chaste woman, you upright lady, you will walk through the heavens a golden star yourself.’ Castor incensed at the wrath of infamous Helen and Castor’s brother were both won over by prayer and returned to the bard the sight they had stolen from him. You–for you have the ability–free me from this madness, you who are not some old woman who knows how to scatter the ninth-day ashes at paupers’ graves; yours is a kind heart, and pure hands.)
Scatter the ashes of your curse and your offering outside where you do not often go. Make right what you have done wrong.
Uncrossing Powder: •Angelica •Hyssop •Cayenne •Sea Salt •Frankincense •Black Pepper •Garlic •a broken chain Pray to the deity or spirits of your choice that protect from and smite evil to bless the powder. Place in threshold when someone unwanted comes to visit and sweep away when they leave.
Leave in a bowl on your altar or at the entrances of your house.
Place in doorways to ward negative energy from entering.
Sprinkle in rooms with negative energy and vacuum/sweep away to remove.
Leave in an enemy’s shoes (under the insert) to keep them away from you and curse them with bad luck (and stinking feet).
Throw it in the face of someone evil cuz that shit has cayenne and will burn.

Thought I might as well drum up some interest for mi madrina. People keep asking me in pm about her so now I can just direct everyone here! First off, Who is La Santisima Muerte? She is the personification/manifestation of your very own Death. She’s your reaper. It may seem strange to most westerners that someone would actually venerate the entity that’s going to end you. But Santisima Muerte manifested in a Mexican cultural background. Death isn’t treated so grimly. Día de los muertos is a cel...
There are two saints known as Cyprian and there has been much confusion between these two martyrs as it is said that both bishops were born in Carthage sometime in the 3rd century, one was an orator...
Novenas, as you might expect, are a set of prayers that progress over the course of nine days. The Novena of Saint Cyprian and Saint Justina are no different, and can be done at any point of the y…
So, about a year ago I bought this statue of St Cyprian from Wolf & Goat. It has sat on my shelf and me not really doing anything with it. I’ve done a bit of study to learn more about him though.
Well, Santisima Muerte has been calling to me for 2 or 3 years now and I’ve hesitated to make any commitment to her. But I now also have 5 Santa Muerte statues (2 white, 2 black, and 1 red). I have also learned that St Cyprian can be used as an amparo for Santa Muerte. So I’m getting ready to set up an altar to the Beny Lady complete with St Cyprian as amparo. There are just a few more minor items I need before undertaking the task and I have ordered them. I should have my Santa Muerte altar up within a week or two.
I have also learned a bit about St Cyprian being the patron saint of witches and necromancers and Thus am looking forward to beginning work with him too.

“The sexual perichoresis of earthly and celestial powers, through the dual union of spirit and flesh, is an echo of the First Gift of Wisdom from the Bright Serpent. The periodic re-introduction of Angelic Power into the Seed of Man as a natural ordering of Spirit and Flesh, seeking balance in the Twain Dominions of Heaven and Earth. From the First Counsel of ‘Take, Eat, be Wise’ to the descendent of the Watchers, to the taking of Fairy wives and husbands, the communion of the two realms is reverently attested by lore. Such may give rise to persons with extraordinary powers in the realm of Herbs and Magic, such as the beloved of fairy-doctors of Cymru.
Thus the Kin of Second Sight contain within their blood the brilliant shards of the Spiritual Race of Faerie: this Seed may awaken from its ancient slumber in the form of increased sensitivities to the spirit-world, powers of healing or miracle-working, or roused by certain initiatic ritual arcana. Such magical abilities are often attended by the Curse of Exile, being scorn and mistreatment by the Race of Adam, and for this reason the Blood of Elphame has also been called by the Wise ‘The Mark of Cain’. Thus it is that the Blessed Fire, though bright and hot, burns under the veil of darkness.”

#this book is heavily based on biblical figures and lore #heads up
Well yes of course it is, it’s a sabbatic witchcraft book. The fall of the Watchers and the line of Cain are incredibly important to sabbatic myth and praxis.
