Then, for the first time, I heard her laugh.
She laughed

and she laughed
and I never questioned her again.

In the famous study of Italian folk Catholicism Madonnas That Maim, Michael P. Carroll writes that although the Church teaches that Christ is of primary importance, followed by the Madonna and then the saints, for local townspeople the chain of importance is exactly the opposite. The saint of the town or area is likely to be the fastest at getting things done, and therefore the most important to the locals. They are followed by one of the manifestations of Mary related to your need, and only then by the Trinity, which gets paid lip service while speaking to the beings lower down the chain.

What type of twins were we? What would their name have been? What would have been their favorite color? What would their favorite genre have been for books, music, tv, movies, or video games? What would have been their favorites within those genres? Would they have preferred dogs or cats, or another animal? Would they have been right or left handed, eyed, legged, etc? Would they have needed glasses? What would have been their favorite and least favorite foods? Would they have been an early bird or night owl? What would have been their favorite vacation spot? Who would they have been attracted towards, their type? What trinkets or little things would they have collected?

St Michael’s role in different magical practices and folk traditions is extremely interesting in general. From what I’ve gather he’s often tied to necromancy and even malefic magic.
So, like, on one hand he’s the righteous angel closest to god, but on the other hand he’s also spirit used in ’black magic’ to oversee pacts with devils.
i think it’s important to understand, while working with the Otherworld, that everything that looks off-putting, scary, or even disgusting (in our eyes) isn’t necessarily evil or bad. just think of brownies or hobgoblins for example, they are said to look very strange and ugly but are still very helpful to humans if treated right.
in fact, countless stories warn us of those who’d appear as beautiful, fair and seductive because they are the most dangerous. think about it; why would a spirit without a real physical form want to appear attractive to human standards? what’s the benfit? it’s because they want something and sometimes that thing is to eat you. this can be worth keeping in mind.
Oh my gods, I look through my old posts and feel like… should I add anything? Or should I stay silent? Should I just treat it as an archive with amazing art and just try to support from the sidelines?
Well, first of all, I have no regrets. I made a promise to myself a long time ago to not ever delete this blog even if I myself turn inactive or don’t keep up with this site anymore. And I have kept it.
But then, again, it’s like… I had the foundations along with veryy (yyy) potent energies. It’s so bittersweet to see, looking back. Example: Would I advice coating blackthorn liquor over flight rowan, right now, today? No. Not really. Will it kill you? No, probably not.
