I was just gonna comment "suck my dick" and let you all read the article but as a female producer I feel like I should comment. The only female to headline Coachella was Bjork 10 years ago? Woah. It doesn't change how I love Coachella and festivals, but yeah it's a little sad and ridiculous. In my younger days trying to get my music out there I've had to deal with pervy "famous" musicians and industry executive males. Who mostly ran the labels I tried to get on, but that being said its not every guy in the industry. Some of my best music friends are guys and always will be. It's true we get objectified in life and art and yet there are some brilliant female minds and women in history who have made music what it is today. In my opinion however the world would have gone to shit centuries ago without them even if there was a way to reproduce. The beauty of life would rarely exist. Women run the world and its continuing to shift as we all know. So don't sweat it kids, I'm still going to Coachella. I totally bet that there will be a female headliner next year though. #latimes #coachella (at Los Angeles, California)

Dawn is a cautionary tale. We hurt girls with casual negligence. We change the course of lives with a stereotypical view shared thoughtlessly. We shape the minds of the innocent. Let's think different and be better.

My inspirations were varied - I wanted the color palette of The Parent Trap (1961) the loneliness of an Edward Hopper painting, the driving tension of Night of the Hunter mixed with Hemingway's unsparing style of editing. These greats are my teachers.

I layered a lot into Dawn and feel it's best watched twice. Please enjoy for free and pass it on. THOUGHT+ART = FREEDOM
