- i’ve been into the series since like 5th grade but fell out of it when the broken code came out but am getting back into it

- i’ve been absent from the fandom for like forever

- i don’t really like most books past the first half of the new prophecy but i’m reading them all anyway because i love warrior cats and even if i don’t particularly like them i love warriors as a whole and want to

- just like literally every other warriors fan i am working on my own retelling of the story with my own world building and changes because a lot of stuff bothers me about how the stories are told and how it goes and i want to try telling the story while changing those errors and also having fun with it and making improvements and also making it more realistic IN SOME WAYS not all ways just ways that i think could improve the story and worldbuilding and wont bog it down . i have no name for this AU yet but i’ll update you ... for now til i have a name the tag is #wc appalachia au

- consequently i am working on a cat based conlang and it’s really hard

- consequently i have a lot of strong opinions on warrior cats

- my favorite characters at the moment are (alive) bluestar, (alive) yellowfang, jayfeather, monkeystar, and hollyleaf in no particular order, followed by longtail, dustpelt, briarlight, and the rest of warriorclan also in no particular order

- i’m now finally CAUGHT UP on the main series books but am now going back and reading some super editions

- i haven’t made a lot of current ocs yet but i do have a warriors sona named horsepelt :-)

Squirrelflight is not my favourite character, but I may respect the most out of Warriors. I mean, Do you remeber Eclipse, because I do. She got sliced open along her abdomen, she kept fighting! Not only that, but she doesn't even slow down until after the fight was over and they were heading back to camp. In my eyes, she's the Warrior Cat™.

Also, real quick while I'm talking about Power of Three, Outcast is one of the most hopeless I've ever read. Everybody just gives up, nothing anyone tries do works. Even the mystic ghost ancestors were like, "Uh, we don't know. Maybe leave the Mountains?" Like, Jayfeather gets all huffy with Stoneteller for lying to the Tribe, But what was supposed to do? Sure, Lionblaze uses his powers to drive away the rogues and"save the day", but even the book, through Rock, acknowledges the fact that the Tribe if rogues ever try to take over again. And then they just leave?! I know they can't stay in the tribe forever but they barely fixed anything! If we didn't see the Tribe again after this book then it would be perfectly safe to assume they got chased out or completely eradicated by two-bit gang of hooligans.

Shoo, Got a bit worked up. Outcast is some nasty work, one of my least favourite Warriors book, for sure.

first of all ive been thinking about this and i think squirrelflight and leafpool are like objectively the best characters in the series. for one they so perfectly encapsulate like the two sides of the series and the world, between the rank climbing/interclan politics and the starclan mysticism and arbitrary rules......... they just DO IT ALL AND theyre literally the warriors of all time. also i love love love them as personalities and as firestars kids i think they fill that role 100% perfectly without being too "im the most important characters daughter so i will automatically be imporant" imo. they just have the SAUCE to me and their relationship as sisters is fantastic. some of the best writing in the franchise is due to them for suuuuure. they arent my all time favorite characters but i feel joy and relief whenever either of them are on screen i feel like i could trust them with my life

also that bit in outcast is soooo rough i dont like it at all. tbh i have no idea why they put in that plot point other than to pad out POT which is crazy bc theres so much other shit going on. i particularly really hated the clans trying to mold the tribe into a clan and the tribe cats are so clearly uncomfortable and dont want to abandon their traditions LIKE it soooo rubbed me the wrong way. and theyre trying to paint the clan cats as heroes for it pmo so bad. ALSO the tribe could have absolutely chased out those random ass cats they literally kill hawks and eagles????? i just cant wrap my head around why they would write literally anything in that book dude i have to agree about outcast it is straight ass
