How Could People Trust their Perspective as Truth?

I am against the idea of how people are trying to prove that there is no absolute truth. That, truth depends on how a person sees it. 

Absolute truth is necessary to hold things together. We do not just imagine that the world is round. Though we step on flat earth but a bigger spectacles tells us that the world is round. We name it by absolutes and not by perspectives. 

Morality is the most abused absolutes that the world is trying to twist by relative perspective. Due to its intangibility nowadays, the group of people who defines it louder wins the trophy of changing its meaning or worse, change laws. One can say same-sex marriage is moral because it is the people’s right to be happy of their choice of marriage. Now, how could we trust our ‘choice of happiness’ as standard for our rights? If a pedophile insisted that it is their right of happiness to choose partner’s age, do we give away that right? It comes for the same principle, but if you say, if there’s a mutual agreement between the two, should be respected of their choice and a child does not have an adult mind to decide on their own, that is their hold of reasoning against it. But how long would that ‘hold’ keeps the wall against giving the pedophiles provision of their own ‘rights’? Until, people discuss that children are their own and are capable of deciding as how they choose bread or pancakes? Or, really until people find the best moment to speak up and to reason again. 

I’m not going to challenged our minds about this. There will be hundreds of examples and cases, and I’m not really up to stirring other people’s logic. There is one thing I want to leave as requirement to defining Morality that many people try to deny, and that is our own conscience. The atheists do not believe in God, our Creator but if there’s one proof that atheist may or may not deny in public, it does not matter, because somehow in the core of our hearts, our Creator provided an imprint that leads us back to Him, and that this our conscience. It will talk and it will clarify right and wrong are simply black and white, which the world tries to confuse to different shades of grey. 

I really hope and pray that corrupted minds to absolute truths will not get worse. But if it will, I really pray people who read this or people or some at least, would choose rightly how to live their lives because what comes after is eternal, we cannot take it back. Once you decide where you stand, death will be the breaker, and it will be final. And unfortunately, any one can die any time that is why decision has always been daily.

Should Pork Barrel Be Abolished?

The articles relevant to this matter seem to show that there are two predilections to sort: to Abolish Pork or to Defend Pork. There is an unyielding people movement relentless to their public noise to abolish pork and to re-channel the budget flow. Some legislators are affirmative to the same stand.

On the other hand President Aquino, who is incessant in fighting corruption, made an outright defense of the pork barrel system insisting that the problem is not in the system but on the people. As the media outbreak of the PDAF scam continues, an increasing number of Filipinos detested him in his stance specifically questioned his integrity in spending his presidential pork, DAP.

In the middle of the tug, the mediocre side chose to be silent or to vaguely underscore sentiments of the issue instead of directly suggesting a solution to this plight. This covers the majority. The safe ground to avoid public scurrilous judgment is to crack nothing. The three senators accused guilty of this scam accentuating their own argument by saying, ‘I’m not a thief’, ‘There is no evidence against me’, ‘I won’t apologize’, are simply answers to accusations and not contributing to cipher the pork barrel predicament. 

The former two now three decisional selections are critical to both politicians and citizens alike. The optimum result is to give just distribution of government wealth back to the people what was given by the people. The legislators or the executive does not own the money. The two main variables to solve the issue are Process and People, being the main determinant.

It may be in a form of PDAF or other fancied word but pork barrel is a mere representation. Somehow the money has to be given back to the people in whatever term the present government named it. Abolishing the pork barrel does not solve it but only alter it. The Process to endure its accountability, transparency and integrity matters. Re-channeling may involve cutting or adding lines of influence but this can be swayed by the main variable, the people. If the people involve are crooks, no matter how upright the channel is the crime is at the hand of the person. The corrupt will always find a path to feed their greed.

To abolish Pork, to defend Pork, or to say nothing are not contributory to public welfare. The Process and the People are the important factors of this governmental revolt, People being the main determinant of which require elements of a police, an accountant and a guard.

The world does NOT revolve around for you getting the person you like, it doesn't revolve around for you getting rich, or you having a happy life, or having a great career. You aim for what you think the world revolves for, the purpose of life, the reason for living. But I'm sorry to deliver the bad news--it's not for you. 

Scientific Fact: The world does not revolve around you.

10 Without Ceiling

Who has had enough with the presence of God?

In the past, I used to wonder that if our relationship with God can be measure in levels 1 through 10, where 10 is the highest, what happens when you reach 10?

One answer changed my perspective in life— you may reach 10, but it’s a 10 without ceiling.

We can never say that we cannot know more than what we’ve known in the past, we cannot experience more than what we’ve experienced in the past, or we cannot encounter God more than we have encountered Him in the past--that’s a lie because it is a 10 without ceiling.

Eli was a priest, and the glory of God reside in the temple where he is, but he did not have hunger. He knew that the word of the Lord was rare and visions were even rarer during those times. But when Samuel, a little boy, ran to Eli and he realized it was God who spoke to the boy, he lets Samuel take the good stuff, he did not have enough hunger to run before God and cry, “Lord, me too.” There is not enough zeal for the presence of God to touch him. He was dead even while alive. Eli was satisfied to be cast out.

David, the man after God’s own heart, got the hunger. He messed up big time but he still chose to run after God and said, “Lord, cast me not away from thy Presence”.

This is the good news. Our relationship with God does not hit a boundary. Our knowledge of God does not have a quota. It’s a 10 without ceiling.

A Call to Speak Up!

Me and my friends were about to go to Banilad. They decided to walk to the other street where they can ride a cab or a route 13C jeepney. On the other hand I decided to stay on the side where 13B and 62B jeepneys pass by. I let several 62B jeeps pass by, thinking that riding a 13B jeep would get me faster to where I want to go. However, after several minutes, it seemed that 13B was a no-show so I took 62B instead. I asked the jeepney conductor where their route is. He looked a little creepy honestly. I thought he’s not a person to be trusted but I brushed it off and continued with my ride.

It was an ordinary jeepney ride until I witnessed something I’ve never seen in my entire life. I saw the guy passenger beside me take out his white touch screen phone and turn on his camera as if he was taking a video of something. I traced what he was capturing and found out he was peeping at a girl wearing skimpy skirt seated across us. He kept his face up and acted as if nothing was happening but was actually taking on his video camera. I, then, moved my hand enough to block the camera. He looked down and checked how his recording was and noticed that my hand was blocking him from getting a good shot. He might not know I did that intentionally so he pulled up the camera a little and in a tense but strong voice, I called out to the girl, “Miss” and mouthed, “Your skirt”. She got the idea and covered up. She didn’t know that someone was actually taking her video. The tall dark guy beside me immediately hid his cellphone.

I was only half way of my trip, I expected to stay in the jeepney for another 30 minutes sitting beside a guy filled with lust. The beginning of the warfare started. I prayed quietly but loud enough that the guy beside me can hear. There was a mutual thought between us that I know what he did, and he knew that I know the filthy thing he did. He might have been embarrassed so he looked at the road all the time and might have strained his neck in shame. I was in warfare and surprisingly, not in anger of the guy but in anger of the demon of lust playing around his thoughts. I prayed, “God, fill this place with your presence. Holy Spirit, fill this place with your presence and fill the thoughts of this guy with the spirit of conviction”. And at the same time, I was covering myself in the blood of Jesus and declaring that Jesus is an overcomer. It was a 30-minute prayer and warfare. I declared in prayers that the man will have radical encounters with Jesus, that God would give him a changed life and that the goodness of God will lead him into repentance. It was a mix of mercy to the guy and anger to the evil spirit that is manufacturing authority over the guy. It was a 30-minute prayer and warfare then finally, I’ve reached my destination. I was getting ready to jump off and I said in a way I normally say it, “Thank you, Lord”. To my surprise when I stepped down the jeepney, the jeepney conductor told me, “Salamat day!” I gave him a thumb up! The jeepney conductor was another witness and who knows who else in the vehicle saw what the Lord did that morning.

A Message for Someone Dear

“Whenever you feel you are lost, you know where to find Me”, says the Lord.

  “Right where you are”.

  The Lord never left you. Not once in your life that He thought of leaving you.

Vision: Harp, Bow and Arrow and 2 Books

This was during Encounter God Retreat in ADTT Batch 7 (August 2011). It was during the season of searching for God's purpose and calling for my life. I left my banking job to spend a whole season of searching, asking God for direction. I took an internship at Cebu House of Prayer for 4 months and at the same time studied ADTT for a year.

I saw a vision of a big spacious circle room, surrounded with big gold pillars. From the zoom out vision, there was one white stage in a form of an irregular round shape that was just half a ruler thick from the ground, and saw two tall angels standing on it, and I saw myself kneeling with an outstretched hands while looking up. My vision was slowly zooming in near and I saw a golden lamp (looks like a genie lamp) above me pouring oil and my mouth was opened and the oil went straight to my mouth nonstop. It didn't taste anything at first, but when it reached my stomach, it felt really sweet and peaceful. And 1 angel handed wrapped gifts to the other angel and then placed the gifts to both sides of my outstretched hands. And there I saw piled wrapped gifts on both of my hands. It looked very heavy but it felt very light. On top of the wrapped gifts, I saw the following open gifts (without wrapper): harp, bow and arrow and 2 thick books.

Vision: Heart of a Man       

This was during the first 45 minutes of our worship and intercession set in Cebu House of Prayer, 130814.

I was playing keyboard, and no words or new songs came out from me and everything was God leading and I was just playing 4 repeated basic chords on my instrument.

And I saw my heart coming out from my body, and my heart was on fire. Then, that same heart, a big hand was holding it, and not a second after, the hand crushed my heart into pieces. I felt the Lord telling me, that many hands are coming after my heart, many false fire but it’s purpose is to break it and crush it that will lead to depression and confusion. Then, I saw the chest part of my body with breastplate steel bar covering, and God is telling me, “I am guarding your heart”.

Dream: the Bomb story

I was in an old house where a lot of people stayed. But there was a group of people who planted bombs in all exits of the house. I helped the people who were inside the house to slowly lead them out without touching the string that happened to be the trigger of bombs. Majority of the people were out already, but suddenly, a commotion happened inside, the people who placed the bombs threw bombs inside the house. It was so unfair! The rest of us ran outside the house. But they also threw bombs outside the house, where people who already had gone out from the house had the potential to get hit. I immediately went inside the house of the groups' Mastermind, and the watchman outside point me to their leader. And I saw the Mastermind sitting and his face was like who just came out from a major facial surgery, very villanly-looking man. And I wasn't afraid but my tongue was tied, I strongly told him but my words couldn't get out from my mind, this is what I told him in my mind: "I cried when your son died but you are doing the same to these innocent people? You are so unfair". It was only on my mind but I knew he understood what I said. And I woke up from my dream.

And I never wanted to wake up because I didn't like how it ends. I never did anything to at least arrest the bomb planters, and I regret how I reacted when the bomb was thrown, I wasn't like "Captain America" (before he even had the powers), he hugged the bomb so that no one will get hit. Instead, I ran away from the bomb. sigh..

I have been asking many things from God too, but NOT EVERYTHING is given to me. It only shows that I don't lord my own life, He still decides and rules over me. Even if He lets me go through defeat and even if He gave me the exact opposite of what I asked for, there is one thing I am sure I gain--the shaping of my character. When Manny Pacquiao lose the match, many blame his God. But when his God changed his life (not a womanizer anymore, not a gambler, etc.), they don't rejoice. Maybe they'd rather have a womanizer Manny and win than a pure hearted God-fearing Manny yet lose.

I found out that the heaviest measurement of God's lordship in our lives is God lording over our choices. The enemy has used it against mankind since Genesis 3:1. Are we led to ask the Lord, which do You want? Where do You want? What do You want? Who do You want--before doing anything? Are we led to say like Samuel, "Speak Lord, I am listening"? Do we subject ourselves to God's Sovereignty over our lives or do we fail and listen to other voices? 

I am checking myself to what extent I treat my Lord God lord over my life. Is He just lord over a little or all of me? I am now renewing my covenant with God. Freewill and God's Sovereignty are not distant after all.

You are my Lord, You are my King. I trust in your Sovereignty. I have full confidence on Your Sovereignty. I lay down my choices, You get to choose, Lord. I lay down my preference, You get to choose. The Sovereignty of our God, beholding time, beholding flesh, beholding all  abilities. I'm laying down my choice, I allow You to choose because You are my God. You are Lord of my time, I don't get to choose my time. You choose my times. You are the Lord of my life.

In the midst of feeling frustrated that the hand of the Lord appeared slow, think that everyday is not a mistake. He is still faithful for giving you grace to sustain against temptation, to stay hoping. He marks every word He said and He is in it in your everyday living.

Last week I feel like giving up on life but He reminded me of Genesis 2:7, every breath I have is caused by God's breathing through me. I was inclining on quitting and getting tired of waiting and living monotone yet the Lord refreshed me when He said, "I breathe with you". When the Lord decided to breathe on us, He decided to give us life, a life abundant that we could not experience if He could have created us an angel or one of the 4 living creatures. Many times the Lord rebuked me on this, that every time I am dissatisfied of being alive physically, I am insulting Him on how He planned that I am alive now. While I am wanting to be dead to be actually with Him is like saying I cannot be wit Him now that I am alive. That is why I used to live an unhappy life because I didn't believe it could even be happier.

I look forward for another day, full of hope knowing God made this day and I will rejoice in it.

If you don't forget the former things, you will miss the new things.

It takes more of God to love more of God.

There's an indigenous sound in the Philippines where all other nations long to hear.

The stage is not a place for promotion, the secret place is.

The Filipino group is one of the sneaky inventions of God. The Filipinos can get to places an American can't go. The Filipinos come to different nations that can sneak right and through in the darkest and hardest places in which no one else can get in. These people aren't to go there to get money, God is commissioning you to bring the burning lamp of God. There is a reason why Filipinos are everywhere, that they can release the new sounds of worship everywhere.

National Revival starts when sons and daughters of God are captivated and launched to their destinies. It's about time to be violently pursuing our destinies from God.

The Philippines needs a city with unified church. Worship unifies the body because we never agree in theology, in eschatology, in pneumatology, even the disciples disagree.

The bible says, make a joyful noise not a perfect pitch.

There's no nation that's too dark and no city that's too hard. Don't magnify the heaviness but the glory of God. God is not impressed with darkness.

It's not about how many came in a building but how many are sent out."

I LOVE ALL MY FLYING EXPERIENCES. I may not be as expressive as anyone else, but I am serious in commenting that I love all my flying experiences.

If not because of God, I wouldn't have wanted to live. It's not the promise, not the prophetic word, nor the calling that kept me alive, it's actually God. If I pursue the destiny over Him, then, I'm missing the whole point. God doesn't point you to the promise, but the promise should point you to God. Why, when you already are in your promise land, what will you do? Often times, God creates giants in the promise land to teach us how to war (Jud. 3:1-2). Don't stop wanting or else you'd start dying. God is the superior object for your 'wanting' because He never diminishes reason to want Him deeper even when received.
