I write poems again. And it’s due to heartbreak. Heart broken by a broken man who has depression. And can’t get over his ex, that he hasn’t been with for 7 years. Very interesting number. I couldn’t even get mad because I understand the pain of mental health issues. All I could do was give advice... and say goodbye.

Time to a Flower

Spring comes, 

she blooms with grace

She feels the embrace 

of the earth beneath her

Summer is here,

She stands with beauty 

While the sun does its duty

And feeds her life

Fall has come,

Her leaves will fall

slowly she’s not as tall 

Not sure why this happens

Winter is now here,

She’s lost her color

she seems a lot smaller 

She now understands her fate.

Through the seasons,

She can bloom with the time,

She can live with sunshine, 

but she also needed some water.

The relationship between our lips 

Was rom-com movie-like

The comfort of those two was so visible

I think pillows were jealous

The relationship between our minds

was more of a storm 

yes the rain was needed for the drought

but it just kept getting out of hand

The relationship between our bodies

was unfortunately undecided

So unsure were we of what we were 

a level 10 sudoku was easier to solve

It didn’t get to happen

And we were going nowhere 

But what we learned of each other 

just proved there is good out there.
