Some things are meant for only me,

For even with him, I must shy away,

The romance I feel in my heart are,

Things that for years, I've hidden away.

We all have, little romantic thoughts,

With no one, we're willing to share,

Tucked safely in our secret hiding place,

Safely, so we have no fear.

So I'll live in my little fantasy,

In my own little world, far away,

With the thoughts, I've held for years,

Hidden in the rugged highlands of Flores Island in Indonesia 🇮🇩, Lake Kelimutu is one of Earth's most fascinating natural wonders. At the top of Mount Kelimutu, three crater lakes sit side by side, each displaying a dramatically different color: a deep turquoise, a rusty red, and a luminous greenish-yellow. This trinity of lakes is not only a visual marvel, but a profound cultural and geological phenomenon that has puzzled and inspired locals, scientists, and travelers for centuries.

The lakes are known locally as Tiwu Ata Mbupu (Lake of Old People), Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai (Lake of Youths and Maidens), and Tiwu Ata Polo (Lake of Evil Spirits). According to local legend, these lakes are the spiritual resting places of the dead, and their changing colors reflect the moods of the souls they harbor.
