Hiroyuki Imaishi X Odio 天元突破グレンラガン (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) c o l o r f u l Daicon V: Ginax Spirit (Virtual Retrospective) Note*week I wanted to show off the illustrations that Mr. Imaishi did for the FLCL light novel, but this week I wanted to focus on what many consider his best work that being Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. These images came from various artbooks that were published after the show’s production. I feel like Eva- Gurren Lagann holds a place in people’s hearts, and for good reason. Personally as a colorist I think that Imaishi’s work as well as Sushio’s work are far the most fun to work with. Where as some illustrators have a very conventional style that only allows you to do things by the numbers. Their style lends to a lot more creativity,Leaving more of a unique fingerprint on each piece. I always love when I get to do something using their line work.It is always fun and challenging. I hope you enjoy these works, and thank you as always for giving me a moment of your time. I appreciate you.

This will be my final art drop of the year, save for the annual Christmas card, and I wanted to take this opportunity to share some of the unofficial works I came across while doing research and digging for this retrospective. I wanted to do something special with these, as I think sometimes the unofficial work (fan arts) can be just as interesting as the work of the official artists who work in the studios. As well I wanted to show some love to my favorite girls of Gainax, Khara and Trigger….. Sadly Bones will have to wait to get their due in 2021. I would like to take a moment to thank all of you who have helped make what could have been the worst year into one of the best. You guys are so fundamental in making this all work, and supplying me with the direction on where to take it in the future. I am starting to drop the “me against the world attitude” I have held for most of my life for a more “we are all in this together” take on things. I want you to know that yr not only allowing me to grow creatively but personally as well. I thank each and every one of you for that. In the coming weeks as I take this little break from the art and editing I am going to to be working on some projects I have been forced to place on the back burner. I will refine my printing process, set up tiers, and  be ready to Launch the Patreon in January. As well as some other creative projects outside of my normal wheelhouse. More so I just want to take stock of all that has happened this year both good, and bad and allow myself a little time to process it all, and just feel grateful for where I am, what I have, and where I want to take it. More than anything I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your love and support. I really do love you guys. If not for you I would never try to find that best version of myself. 新世紀エヴァンゲリオン (radio eva)  *made for promotional use by Evengelion store01 and Studio Khara respectively  *I started doing anime x reality edits 4 years ago this month as a joke to post in an Evangelion group on facebook. Now as I enter into a new decade where I will be focusing more on working in the comic and manga industry I am retiring the anime x reality style. However when the folks at studio Khara reached out to do an exclusive set for them I could not say no. So here it is. The final 4 Anime x reality edits. I began this series with Evangelion, and I will end it with Eva as well. Thank you everyone for supporting me for these years.
