Visiting my hometown
I thought going home to the uk, to be surrounded by all that is familiar, would be grounding. I thought it would give me the confidence I needed to step out into this world alone after the breakup with my ex. I thought it would fill me with love in other ways â from friends and family and comfort. It did only the latter. I went back home for two weeks after being over here in Aus for 10âŠ

Two Things Can Be True
Something that consistently bugs me is lifeâs little oxymorons. That somehow everything good is opposed by something bad and I understand why this is the way the world works but I donât have to like it. Maturity is a funny thing.
Iâve often found maturity to be one of lifeâs biggest oxymorons. Itâs something weâre taught to chase â in order to âgrow upâ you must be responsible and composed.
