"I-I apologize I...didn't mean to stand in your way."
obscurity [ open ]
The unfamiliarity of the city prompts Aqua to have her guard out as she traverse throughout the streets. She couldn’t help but wonder if any Unversed made their way into this world and if they were to blame for its current state. Were the mutual killings she had heard to blame? How cruel that people would resort to such a thing in the first place… Perhaps this world has fallen victim to a stronger darkness than she had thought.
A question pops into her mind though—How exactly did she get here? As she searches for the answer in her memories, she’s met with blank spaces. She stops walking, her eyebrows furrow as her lips purse. She could not recollect anything after she had left the Land of Departure to find Terra and Ven, but she also could not shake the feeling that there’s something more to this. The possibility of the two being is slim, but it was enough to set her heart at ease for now.
I have to find them, but I also have to do my best to set things right here. As a Keyblade Master, I can’t ignore the evil that lingers here.
With that, Aqua resumes her journey with a new goal in mind. She has to find out all she can in order to put a stop to the killings and the only ones who can help her are those trapped with her. A passerby catches her eye and she politely stops them before questioning them. “Excuse me. I was wondering if you could help me out. My name is Aqua and I need you to tell me all you know about these killings that are going on.”
The fimiliarity of the place sent chills down Castiel's spine. He knew for a fact that he had never been here before yet he felt as if he had. Worst of all, he felt that he had done something bad here. Something he regretted and wished he could erase. However, no matter how much he tried to call back to those past events or feelings, nothing came to him. It was almost like he was living through a dream.
Not only was he wondering about the realness of the situation, but he was also wondering how, if this was real, so many different timelines were brought here. Castiel knew that it was nearly impossible for this to happen. Unless, of course, an archangel was in control of this. Even then, the concept of this whole fiasco was a bit too creative for his elder brother's and sister's. Despite those facts he still kept it in the back of his mind.
His thoughts were interrupted by a young lady. Turning around he listened carefully to what she had to say. Unfortunately for her, Cas knew next to nothing. He would be of no help to her. But, as an angel it was his duty to guide humans on their paths. That was, if she was even a human.
"Auqa? That's...that's a lovely name. Well, I apologize I...have limited information...if any at all. I will try to help you as much as I can, however. Afterall, that is my duty." He gave a polite nod. "My name is Castiel."
i'll just wait here then

Why the hell is he leaving? Castiel just brushed him off. Its been 3 months since he’s been killed and two weeks since remembering who done it. In all semblance, it was Rohan’s fault that this whole piece of bullshit happened and he’s got a scar over his heart. Honestly, at this point he did not CARE. The time sitting around on the beach, talking with other people, thinking that his very wife might be dead because he died made him think.
Shion stopped caring for a lot of things and admitablly about other’s safety. That was the only thing that scared him, that he would one day actually…kill someone. He’s never done it before, beat someone within the inch of their life- yeah, but never outright killed someone. Would he…? No, he couldn’t.
So before thinking, he swung his broom and hit the Angel with the side people usually swept with.
"Stop right there Cas. Don’t go running off like this, I need to talk to you about what happened a few months back and clear up some things you seem to be taking overboard."
A light smack from the broom hit his back. He stopped, his back still facing Shion. Running off. Of course. That's all he has been doing. Just like before, time and time again, he was a coward. Castiel still was a coward. The only times he hadn't been a coward he...well, it invovled many deaths. It just wasn't in him. He wasn't like his brothers and sisters. He wasn't like Sam and Dean. He didn't want to fight, he didn't want to face the facts. All he ever wanted was peace. But here he stood, right in the modst of having to do what he did not enjoy. Deal with his problems.
The effort placed into avoiding Shion, Rohan as well, was painful and honestly, tiring. Some part of him regretted ever avoiding them in the first place. Then again, that was what a coward would do. They would avoid their problems rather than fave them like they ought to. And even if Shion hated him because of it or Rohan killed him because of it, he deserved it. He deserved every inch of scar on his body. The scar over his eye, across his abdomin and on his neck. Every single one. They were punishment for his crimes.
But then he remebered what had happened a few months back. A few months ago...he had committed his crime. Did this mean? Did Shion know? Still keeping his back turned to Shion, he sighed. Relaxing more and attempting not to appear as tense he turned his head slightly back to his former friend.
"So you...you already know." Finally he turned back around to Shion. "What is it...you need to...'clear up'...with me?"

Guilt, that was the first thing Shion saw when he walked into the Library. He hadn’t been in there since he and Rohan was…murdered. It didn’t bother him as much as it should have, he was used to being betrayed by before and he brought it upon himself. Though every time he looked around the beach, the casino, anywhere on Jabberwock Island he could not find him.
Castiel that is.
The silver-haired teen didn’t know why he could not sense where the angel was, being around him along enough made him used to finding- even if that sounded a bit stalkerish. He didn’t have the nerve to ask the Winchesters, though mostly because he felt unnerved around the younger one Sam. They were hunters from what he had heard and hunted Supernatural creatures….people like him. It wasn’t his fault that he turned out this way, but at the same time he felt that it was. Shion could not help that his mother wanted him to become powerful and therefore sacrificed children because of his low mental capacity, but doomed him to being a failed human with demon blood flowing through. Wasn’t that what she wanted…no, self-pity wasn’t right in this place.
With a sigh, he hoisted his broom up and opened the door to the library, seeing someone that he hasn’t in a long time. His eyes widened at that fact and with almost a strained, voice responded.
"Castiel…."
Castiel could only expect the worst to happen. There was no way Shion could accept his apology. There was no way he could even put how sorry he was into words. It was a burden. Everday he felt that guilt wether it be in the back of his mind or right on stage. And that was his fault. If he just hadn't been so foolish. If he could have just done his job as an angel. The Winchesters were doing far better at that compared to himself. Yes, Sam killed, but he had assumed the child was a monster that would harm the people. It made sense. He was just trying to help.
And then there was himself. Jealous, angry, revengful. So many things that, if his past self had seen, he would be dead for. Then again, that was only when his father was around. Now? Now his brothers and sisters killed for whatever reason they please. Killing eachother, killing their father's most prized creation, killing anything. Cas wish he could say that he himself had never done it, but if anyone were to have spilled the most blood...it would be himself. There was nothing he could say to excuse it. All of it, all of it was useless. There was no point, no reason for any of the blood that was spilled by him to be spilled at all. Now he had spilled even more.
So there he stood, terrified. Unsure of what to say next. Unsure of the outcome of his mistakes. No, his sins. And wether or not Shion would find it in himself to forgive Castiel. Honestly, he doubted it. That's right, it was impossible to forgive him. He had to get out of here, qiuck.
"I...I have to go I'm...late...for something. I....sorry I...ran into you..."
Shoving past him, Castiel made his way for the door. Not now, he couldn't take this right now.

Avoidance. That what he had been practicing since his crime. Avoiding Sam, avoiding Dean. Avoiding anyone that would look upon him and judge him for the sins he had committed. But he deserved it. Every ounce of hatered that anyone felt towards him was well deserved. Castiel had failed. As an angel of the lord he was to protect humanity. Save them from the evil that awaited them just around the corner. Now he was that. He was the evil thing that people were afraid of. It was obvious too. The disappointment in Dean's face the night he came back from hiding. Not that he blamed of course. It was awful of him.
But was it the stares of everyone and killing Rohan that hurt? No. That was normal. Castiel had recieved that look from both Sam and Dean before. Hell, it could have been worse and he knew it. At least he didn't kill his family. Though, that still didn't cover the guilt. The guilt that kept he from even glancing at this one child. His friend. One of the few people in the gid forsaken place that did not seem threatening or scared. Someone who, in all this madness, was able to stay strong like Cas could not. Even Dean, one of the strongest people he knew, was losing it. He had seen it. Yet this child someone remained brave.
And Castiel killed that. He killed Shion.
Quietly, he sat on the floor of the library where it had all happened, gently fiddiling around with a ring he had found on the floor. Shion's ring. Letting out a sigh he heard the door open. He quickly scurried up onto his feet, stuffing the ring inside his coat pocket. Time to leave. That was enough time here. Dwelling on such an event would only creat more guilt. As long as he avoided Shion he would be-
Of course. As he stepped out from behind the shelf he saw him. His friend. In stunned silence he stared at the boy.
"You...What are you doing here?"
Redemption; || Castiel & Ema ]
A grumpy huff escaped the the mouth of Ema Skye as she aimlessly wandered around, furious scribbling in her notepad could be heard from miles away. The brunette had spent much of her day, like any other so far, exploring and investigating the island. As usual, she hadn’t found anything different than what she had previously. It was frustrating yes, and she knew that for a while she probably wouldn’t find much at all, yet she continued to search, to push herself hard and continue working.
It was incredibly stressful sometimes.
The moody vibes emitting from her very person were noticeable to anyone who’d see her pass by, she was pretty moody for a young girl. Her short fuse along with the constant reminder that getting out of here would not be a simple task, it was infuriating. On this big island, surrounded by danger at every moment, she felt so small and helpless. Even if she would mask her uncertainty by working twice as hard, it would be foolish for Ema to believe she wasn’t at least a bit scared. Not after what she had seen so far.
Ema had been through a lot in her life up until this point, and she knew very well that deciding to become a detective after failing her exam was the closest thing to signing over her life to death. She’d encountered near death situations more than once already, but by choosing this career she’d be putting herself in even more danger, more than ever before. It was alright, she was fine with this occupation. She thought of her sister and her kind smile, of Mr Wright and Mr Edgeworth, who had saved both of them in their darkest hour. She owed her life to so many people, there had to be something she could do to repay them for saving Lana, for saving herself. It was why she went with being a detective, she hoped to redeem herself and pay back everything she owed them.
How difficult it was, to help the people you love when you were too weak to do so.
As the brunette flipped through her notepad, she went over old notes and scribbles she had made in the past. Notes from when she helped Phoenix and Edgeworth with their investigations. This notepad was probably the closest thing to an autobiography, she wrote absolutely everything there. Her movements, her opinions on other people, notes regarding cases, just about anything you could think of was in there. A slight frown grew on her face as she preoccupied herself with the notepad in front of her, such distraction causing her to bump into someone.
"Oof— I’m sorry I-" began the detective before looking up to see a familiar man in front of her. She was surprised to see him, seeing as the last time she had saw him was in a trial. A trial for a crime he was guilty of committing. Even now Ema could not wrap around her head how such a seemingly sweet and kind person could have brought harm upon someone else. Then again, considering what his motive had been, though it pained her to admit it he was not the only one who would’ve done such of thing. If the brunette ever found herself in a similar situation.. she might have been driven to do the exact same thing. "Sorry—! I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going, are you alright?" questioned the young girl looking at the other.
As usual, Castiel was wandering the island without much thought. He had explored the place a million times already yet he still felt as though he had missed something. For a while he had assumed it was an actual place, like a building or area. However, the more he wandered the more he had come to realize that it was more of a state of peace. Not that he had much luck with finding that before, but he still had somehwere to relax if even for a moment. Now he was always on the move. Ever since he had killed he found himself feeling more anxious and his eyes would shift, making sure that no familiar face was around. It was guilt, mostly, that was doing this to him.
Though, he had killed before. He had killed several of his own brothers and sisters back home. Yes, he felt ashamed for killing them, but somehow he was able to forgive himself for doing so. Then why did he feel such guilt now? Was it Shion that he felt guilt for? He wqs acting in self-defense. It was his only option. Maybe it was the fact that he had let down Dean. They had both agreed to never kill, to protect these children. Yet here he was, wandering about, hands in the pockets of his trenchcoat, guilty.
He regretted it. Every second of it he regretted. Castiel should have never stepped foot on here. This place was dangerous, that much was obvious when Dean went missing. But for some reason that didn't stop him from flying over to save a Winchester. Afterall that was his purpose. It's what he was created for. To help humans, to save humans. Especially the Winchesters, the two most amazing and remarkable human he had the pleasure of befriending. Though, he was pretty sure any and all befriending and trust he had with them was gone. All because he screwed up.
Again.
Castiel's thoughts were interrupted when he bumped into a familiar stranger. A stranger from the trial. The trial for the murder he committed. Looking quickly away, obviously avoiding eye contact, he listened to her words. Honestly, he was a little starttled that she would be so kind. He had seen the way this girl acted at other trials. Always on the dot and getting onto the trial faster than he could piece anything together. And she seemed to have little to no sympathy for the murderers. Then why did she seem to be kind to him? If anyone of the murderers was the most twisted it was him, right? He killed his own friend. How could you get more twisted than that.
Attempting to at least take his attention away from her shoes, he spoke quietly.
"I...I'm, I'm fine. Thank you. Are...Are you alright? I'm...sorry I...wasn't paying attention to where i was going..."

"Can we all just… stop fighting?"
She just doesn’t know anything about “djinn” or whatever, but arguing won’t solve anything.
"Unfortunately, I...don't think it will anytime soon."
And this is what he comes back to. Thanks guys.
A body has been found!
The angel's head rested low as his body was strung up on the rafters in the Petting Zoo. Wrists were wrapped up in rope which held him up. His forehead was bruised and bloody. Head smashed in by a blunt object. Behind him, his wings were painted beautifully with his blood and upon entering the room one could almost believe they were attached to his body. Also written in that same blood read:
"GOD HAS ABANDONED US"
And it was true.
God was gone. All hope was lost. There was nothing left but chaos and death now. Any and all hope that Castiel had would be gone.
God had truly abandoned them all. And he had left them to rot.

you gotta get back out on the town, david st david, you’ve been out of the loop for who knows how long, man, super long, if i had to make a guess. like probably a good eighty and a half deaths, that one half being that the death of your hygiene because you are fucking stanky. like it’s pretty gross, dude, i’m pretty sure all of your room mates awkwardly dragged their beds as far away from you as possible, they’re awkwardly cuddling like naked eskimos in the cold just to get away from your smell. hell, youre even growning a neckbeard, dude, which is basically the companion piece accessory to the much reviled fedora. either you shower, or you march right to the vending machine and you don’t stop shoving coins up that rusty slot until a fedora comes out, which is highly, highly improbable because not even monobear is evil enough to put fedoras in that thing.
youve showered. refer to the icon above. now go get some food, dude, youve been surviving off of apple juice that you pretend is your own piss to feel like one of your many heroes bear grylls and the soul of your arch nemesis jack black. its lasted months. jack black is too soulful. but now youre gonna get some real food at the cafeteria and annoy someone to really get back in the game. like that dude. the one in the detective trench coat. he looks like a bearded infant. just walk behind him and tap him on the shoulder. yeah, like that. "hey hotstuff, i’m 13, female, and i live in the congo, i’ve killed at least three tigers with my bare hands, but when i’m not brutally murdering endangered animals for food and sport, i like long walks on the beach."
Castiel didn't normally find himself in the cafeteria. However, he needed to get some food for his roommates. The Winchesters hadn't really eaten much all day. Mainly it was due to the fact that they were trying to "crack" Monobear. Still, all they had done was sit around, try and solve this mystery and get frustrated. So, not very much progress. At all.
Now what he definitely did not expect was this young boy. He had expected some sort of well, question or just...something more...ordinary. What he got instead was...interesting? That was one way to put it.
Instead of immediately responding, Castiel stood in silence and just stared at the boy for a while. He wore a face of mixed horror and confusion the whole time before he uttered.
"I uh...E-Excuse me? I...I'm not sure what your...trying to say to me..."
Back At It Again At Academy Of Despair | | Revival Post
{ ; Froze may give prayer to God of gods himself, yet perhaps
never were to be answered, even if this was only sensation to plague in own’s gut. Wings fold upon back and gaze is only that of troubled being. Immediately, she must question his words, but as soon gives restraint to keeping it bound from verbality expression to other. He held expression of concern and it stimulated, even if a feather’s touch yet firm, within her that there was much more beyond her current knowledge.
Naturally, of course, she was well conscious that this place was in the very thick seed of mystery. With such abundance of populace, however, perhaps it would not be so difficult to give breakage to said metaphor; yet now she must consider that there is much more than she could have brewed in small thought, even in expanse cauldron. In specifics, it comes to this man, who she feels is much more than mere human. Humans only to crowd these islands is what she had thought true, much so, yet by some manipulation of Etihw must she feel otherwise if only for him.
Next words to be given, in conclusion: Test of sorts, but still representation of the… good of her heart.
“ Died ― … … … ”
A sigh as expression may give change from the slight surprise that would only manifest in physical nature of form, and rather may give allowance to appearance of slightest tint of regret via the closing of her eyes, in the dye of stoicism.
“ If only I could heal… ”
Foolish that she would even be saying with such purpose as given in aforementioned word; human or otherwise, would it not be of ease to discern that she was of angelic being?
Healing. That was also a power he used to possess. Castiel had assumed Monobear took it due to the fact that it would probably get in the way of the whole mutual killing thing. Well, it did get in the way. As did many of his angelic powers. But of course, he still retained all his "useless" powers. Sure, they came in handy a few times, but not a lot.
However that did raise a question: Was this girl actually an angel? She had wings, that was one thing. However, she couldn't possibly have them still. He had lost his own. It wouldn't make sense. Unless of course, she was from another universe. Maybe her wings weren't much of an advantage. They seemed to be more of a...display. First of all, they were too small in comparison to her body. If anything she could possibly fly a few inches off the ground, but not enough for it to be and advantage or an ability. Right?
Then his mind wandered again.
This place had surprised him so many times already. What was one more surprise? He had met a magician, a psycho bloodthirsty prince and a weird stranger smelling man. And that was only just a few of the strange people he had met. So, if this girl turned out to be an angel then honestly, it wasn't that odd. It wasn't all that bad either.
Castiel let his eyes rest on the set of wings and he focused on them for a moment before meeting her eyes and speaking again.
"...Healing? You...had healing powers?"
