Idk what I’m doing. You can call me Crayon or Waterlily if you want. There’s art here maybe some sewing projects too. I’m not doing commissions right now sorry.

Hi! You can call me Waterlily, Crayon, or whatever else you decide you wanna use. Just don’t call me Lily please. I’m in my early 20’s.

I use she/her/they pronouns, but I don’t really care what you use for me!

I mostly draw and paint traditionally, though I am trying to do more digital art now. I also sew on occasion and I might post that here.

Feel free to send asks, I’ll try to answer them when I have free time!

I finally finished the sword I had to fight with sanding down the sword a bit. I think it turned out pretty good though.

The paint I used I probably wouldn’t use again but it did its job pretty well. It ended up not as smooth looking as I wanted it to but I’m happy with it overall. Especially since it’s the first time I’ve attempted making a sword.

Some doodles I did a while back that I never posted. I think I wanted to clean them up some but I don't remember what exactly I wanted to do.

I haven't really had much time to sketch recently, but I had a little time today and I doodled Hyrule. Warning it is a bloody drawing, though I consider it to be on the tamer side.

I'll probably redraw this some other time if I feel up to it I think I could have sketched this better. I would definitely make it more gory. I was testing different techniques to do hair and the grass. I will probably forget how I did it the next time I wanna replicate it though. That happens to me all the time.

A doodle I did of Zelda from Skyward Sword, I have been slowly playing through it while I have time, cause I just bought it not too long ago. I've also been away to visit family for a bit so I haven't gotten very far yet, but I'm enjoying it so far!

I worked on the sword a bit more today and got the pieces cut out of the foam. I also glued them together which was more than I thought I would get done today. I put a wooden dowel through the center of it to give it more structure. I’ve gotta clean up the edges a bit but looks pretty good so far.

So I’m back to working on my Hyrule cosplay. It’s gonna take a while since I don’t have a ton of free time, but I’m working on making Hyrule’s sword now. The picture below is my life sized sketch that I cut out of poster board. It’s the third attempt I made I think, I threw all the other ones out or erased them. I was driving myself crazy trying to get the details right. It’s not funny how long I scrolled through the comic again trying to see the sword at different angles. The sketch is still a bit wonky, but this is just a template for me to work off of. I plan to make the sword from foam. This is the first time I’m ever attempting something like this, so there is going to be a lot of trial and error.

Practice doodle testing out different brushes and trying a odd angle that I've never drawn before. I had fun with this, and just picked some brighter colors than I would usually use in my drawings.

I finally got a decent tablet to draw on for my computer. This is the first thing I finished drawing on it for practice. I like this tablet so much better than the old one I was using to draw with, the pen is much nicer. I'm still getting used to drawing digital stuff so it can be improved, but I'm much happier with the program I'm using now. I'm still kind of deciding on how I wanna draw hair though so that's been a process.

On a side note one of my coworkers gave me a little forest spirit figure from Princess Mononoke for my birthday, because they know I love Ghibli movies. It even glows in the dark its so cute!!!

Some doodles I did a while ago of Homura and Madoka. Funnily enough I’ve loved this series since I was in middle school, but I think this is the first time I’ve sketched either of these two. I really wanna watch through the movies again, I haven’t watched them in a while.

A doodle of four that I did after work. I wanted to color but I was too lazy to make it digital so I pulled out my colored pencils. It’s been a while since I’ve used them.

The mood hit me to sketch Nagisa from Madoka Magica so here she is! I really liked her design in the show to the point that I doodled her a lot for a while in high school. I’m not sure where the notebooks with the doodles are though. I even drew her on my desk about a year ago. I have a bunch of doodles on my desk and notes for some random video games even though I have a clipboard for that but I lose it all the time.

Sorry I haven’t sketched much recently! I’ve been super busy with work, I’m basically working full time even though I’m only part time. I’m good with it though, I get more money that way plus I like most of my coworkers. I also baked a pie for a coworker. They liked it so much that they are already asking about other things I can bake! Anyway I plan to sketch more often again, but we’ll see if I have the time.

I found an old watercolor painting I did of a scene from The Lord of the Rings in high school for a painting class. I watch the movies basically every year. I used to watch them with one of my close friends, but we don’t always have the time anymore. Now I watch them with my sister fairly often. I haven’t really done many watercolor paintings since this one. I might try and do another watercolor painting in the future since I still have all my paints. I feel like I’d be better now, but I guess I’ll see if I try painting with water colors again.

So this is just a rant feel free to ignore it! It’s been bothering me at lot and I just need to get some of it out.

I had a coworker try to take one of my sketches while at work. I had to actually follow them around and take it from their hand after telling them that they couldn’t have it, cause they still tried to keep it even after I told them they couldn’t. I’ve never been so angry and anxious at once. They then proceeded to say that I should sketch them. I’ve never wanted to just walk away from someone more than I did in that moment. I’ve been having all kinds of issues with this coworker overstepping several boundaries with me. I just want them to leave me alone cause it’s really driving me up the wall. At least soon I won’t be working alone with them anymore.

I just spent the last like hour/hour and a half of my life getting the real deadeye achievement in resident evil 4. I had to memorize the pattern of the targets to get S rank on all of the games.

Then I got struck with the itch to draw, so here’s a sketch of Ashley waiting at the range. It’s a bit wonky cause I sketched it real fast, but I like it.

I got some azaleas a few days ago! I’m so happy I love them so much!!! My childhood home had them in the yard and I’ve been feeling a bit home sick for that house. So when I saw the flowers I bought them. They really helped with it even though they aren’t the same color as the ones from my old home, nor are they the same size as the other bush.

It’s that time of the year when I go crazy and try to grow a bunch of plants and buy a few. My family hates it cause plants take over the house and/or the porch. Also I got a better phone so the camera works better on it, and I can finally take nighttime photos!
