Do you want to test what people will say or do at their very worst without it being your fault?

Just tell them you cannot find something of theirs...

They will tell you they are frustrated

They will tell you the value of the item(even if you were with them when you bought it)

They will say that it's their right to vent it at you

And the time they find such items in their hands all time long.

Its a small mistake that they need to be forgiven immediately.
