PRIDE & PREJUDICE (2005) dir. Joe Wright
how did we go from this-
to this-
is anyone else confused by Vi's reaction to Caitlyn aiming the gun at the kid in e3? in season one she was straight up feeding jayce copium after he actually KILLED a child. she knows caitlyn never misses, and she's the one who asked her to take the shot in the first place
unpopular opinion btw - I don't think Caitlyn was ever going to shoot the kid. she fires several warning shots, and then shoots to get the weapon out of a child's hands so its no longer literally in her gfs face. it's clear she thought either Sevika or Jinx would have the decency to get her out of the way, or not bring a child to a battleground in the first place (which is absolute madness on Jinx's part btw. but like father like daughter ig)
I wonder from where so many Americans get the idea that voting is supposed to be some expression of your deepest, most beloved values and virtues rather than a pragmatic, political move meant to shift your country as much closer to your ideal as possible. This strikes me as another example of extreme individualism. Voting isn’t about *you*. It’s about your city, state, and/or country. It doesn’t have to feel transcendently good deep down in your bones. It just has to *do* as much good as you can do, in this particular moment in time.
There are still moments when he clutches the back of a chair and hangs on until the flashbacks are over. I wake screaming from nightmares of mutts and lost children. But his arms are there to comfort me. And eventually his lips. On the night I feel that thing again, the hunger that overtook me on the beach, I know this would have happened anyway. That what I need to survive is not Gale's fire, kindled with rage and hatred. I have plenty of fire myself. What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that.
