60,000+ words in to my first fic in almost ten years, and Docs has decided it can't open my document anymore.

Thank God I'm paranoid and keep a backup. 😅

13x6 Tombstone

So, I’m watching 13x6, Tombstone... and at first I was a little offended by the guy in the carhart style jacket and white cowboy hat. I mean, jesus, Supernatural, not everyone from Kansas dresses like that. (Says the Kansan)

Then I realized something: that’s exactly how my father in law dresses.

In fact, it’s such a well known fact that he dresses like that, that we actually play a game with my husband’s coworkers called “Is That [My Husband’s] Dad?” The rules are simple: when we’re at a casino, or bar, or Wal-Mart, or wherever, any white guy in a white Stetson is pointed out with the observer yelling, “Is That [My Husband’s] Dad?!!” The game is over when a player correctly identifies my father in law.

Sitting in the junk at my parents. I'm considering hauling it home and trying to get it running again (ha ha). It's pretty shot, though. It needs wiring, seats, shocks, headlights, etc... but it would look pretty bitchin' in red.

Jared & Gen joined the Molak family at the Texas State Capitol in support of David’s Law, a bill meant to crackdown on cyber-bullying. (Full speeches: x.x)

The Molak’s 16 year-old son, David, committed suicide last year after relentless bullying. “David’s Legacy Foundation is a 501©(3) non-profit organization dedicated to ending cyber-assisted bullying by educating communities about the harmful effects of cyber abuse, providing support for bullying victims, promoting kindness, and supporting legislation that prohibits the cyberbullying of minors.”    - DavidsLegacy.org

I'm so grateful for these two. I used to work in a high school, and I watched some of my students go through cyber bullying. It's heartbreaking to watch kids go through this without having a solid way to stand up for them (even though you want to grab the bullies by the collar and shake some goddamned sense into them). It bothers me that, as a "teacher", a lot of times, the best I could do was give them positive words and try to reinforce the idea that they WERE important, and they WERE worth so much more than their classmates could possibly see.

But wiping tears after lunch, or giving them hugs (which was highly frowned upon) aren't enough to end the cycle. I'm so proud to be a fan of both Gen and Jared because I see them using their voices to work on something like this.

If you're going through this, I'm here for you. You DO matter. To me and to others. You MATTER. And I love my SPN Family.
