A new version of an older design, found in my new shop here. I updated فلسطين حرة to حرروا فلسطين, roughly a change from "Palestine is free" to "make Palestine free".

As always EVERYTHING I EARN from my shop is for my best friend, a Palestinian PhD student studying in America. The money is sent home to support his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the genocide in Gaza, the raids and economic devastation in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries.

Between the big boost @todaysbird gave me early on and the amazing promotion from jabaddams on Instagram, bird lovers have driven a huge amount of the traffic my shop has gotten. I am forever grateful for this, and as a huge birdwatcher myself I am so touched by how amazing other people in the hobby are. Another bird lover on my Instagram suggested budgies so that's why I made these little guys.

I'm adding Good Muslim, Bad Muslim by Mahmood Mamdani to this. Not just because it's painfully topical 20+ years later but because everyone should be aware of how much of the discourse today has been shaped by The Cold War and western terrorism

I bring up these readings constantly because the ideas in them are incredibly relevant today.

If you want to understand countries like Afghanistan or Iran you have to understand that the narrative around them has been produced by the same powers that are responsible for the violent destabilization in that region.

The "death to America" chants didn't emerge out of nowhere because of some inherent cultural hostility. You hear these chants anywhere the United States acted as a major violent geopolitical force, backing coups, killing civilians, engaging in resource theft etc

As usual my art is free for anyone to use for activism purposes (posters, social media posts, organization logos, etc) just please do not try to sell it.

Israel is bombing Iranian civilians and gleefully put out press release calling it a 'pre-emptive' attack while Iran has been negotiating for weeks. 'Pre-emptive' strikes don't exist in International law. International law doesn't exist either it seems. What exists is Israel, a made up terrorist limb of the cancerous American state and it feeds the capitalist appetite for blood and oil.
