I think tanpre may be becoming one if my favourite series at only 6 episodes in.

Its theme of discovering mysteries is amazing for children in this age of ai slop and media that is made to capture attention. Obviously like those precure is also made to sell but i can like its positives. Having these characters use reasoning to discover is great.

And i love the bond between Anna and Mikuru. They both have flaws and aren’t afraid to show their emotions. And unlike previous seasons (kimipre…) it has a plot and stakes.

I think my enjoyment of precure comes from its amazing visuals and positivity but as an adult i also watch for what the actual target audience will get out of it. Having a series that makes it audience think and empathise with everyone is great. This is probably influenced by my job as an illustrator that makes me focus on what appeals to children and how to make a good design.

Bit of a long post but i hope you get the point. I had my doubts with kimipre even tho i loved its concept but i think this series MAY be one of the most perfect precure series.

If anyone is interested i do want to write in more detail about this.
