“you can’t keep blaming how you act on other people. you’re not eighteen anymore.” michael comments suggestively, throwing a small shrug after his words. as much as he knew that contradicting her was a lost fight and a complete waste of time, he couldn’t simply wave the white flag and give up completely. watching matty sleeping soundly, he smiled softly when the tiny hand wrapped around one of his fingers, gazing over his son with a heart filled with love. if nothing good was to ever come out of that relationship aside from that small creature right there, he couldn’t complain much, not really. “frozen pizza.” he repeats, eyes rolling inwardly. their private chef was definitely dearly missed. “i’d love a hot pocket with it.” he agrees then, but taps down on her side of the bed. “c’mere. we can eat later.”
“i just don’t want them anywhere near our child.” ava scoffed. despite the fact that she tried her best with her role as a mother, it was no lie that she knew she wasn’t perfect. however, she would never trust her parents with their son. a soft smile showed on her face at the scene, their son was the only person in the world that mattered to her more than anything. seeing their family at peace was rare, but the moment was not one she wanted to ruin, so she decided to drop their argument. rolling her eyes, she unfolded her arms, laying slowly on the bed. “you know, techncally the pizza and the hot pocket are the same thing” she giggled, head resting on his shoulder, eyes gazing at their baby boy “he’s perfect, isn’t he?” she sighed “we’ll get out of this one soon enough”
