she wouldn’t fit in. not remotely. she wasn’t raised for it, doesn’t fit the ideals of a king’s landing lady.

and yet.

she’s clever. far more clever than she lets on. she wears the mask of simplicity because the viper’s pit that is the eight gagillion freys is not quite at the level of venom as kl, but it’s close. she learned young, and she learned well, that to remain unseen, one must appear stupid. and that skill would serve her, or at least allow for her survival for a time.

if she was there with roose, she would hide behind him, seemingly oblivious but observing everything. if this was after the events with ramsay, she would be forced to stand alone, but the result would be the same. and she could certainly have returned to her grandfather, with the baby in tow, but the safest place from ramsay is the furthest you can go from ramsay and lbr, kl is probably only a stop on her way to fucking dorne. or essos.

i hope this letter finds you well, and i pray every day for your safe return home to me.

on the subject of the adopted children, however, i must note that most are not children at all, and several serve excellent purpose. those that don’t, or have committed some crime that warrants it might provide ramsay with some amusement, which though tragic, is also excellent purpose as it would keep your son from darker pursuits against those more innocent. i had simply thought to swell our ranks, in any case, and i have always believed that flies are better trapped with honey than vinegar.

but if you still wish me to cast these unfortunates into the wilds of the north, as winter approaches and with the whispers of wildling bands marauding their way south, then i will, as always, do as you command. i am ever, and always, loyal to you first.
