❝ yes, perfectly fine. ❞ michael rolled his eyes, but the action had too much fondness in it to have any of the desired effect. ❝ i didn’t say it was a balanced meal, but it fed me, so it’s a meal nonetheless. ❞ the man is aware his argument isn’t the best it could be, but it isn’t like he’s trying very hard to argue with theodore—— despite his words, he likes when theo shows concern for him. likes the idea of the other man cooking him dinner, just the two of them in his shitty kitchen and it’s a dangerous line to thread. the brunet pointed with his chin towards the kitchen, taking another large spoonful of ice cream. ❝ nothing stoppin’ ya from making me dinner tonight. ❞ the words come out muddled as he struggles to swallow down the treat, offering theo a toothy grin by the end of his sentence; it’s a good way to call the other’s bluff, michael thinks, trying not to focus too much on the way theo looks down at his lips even if the action alone alights fire inside of him. he leans back against the couch once he has theodore’s ice cream in hands, putting a little more distance between them even if every fiber of his being asks to be closer, closer, always closer to theo. ❝ i’m way too lenient on you. that why you buying me the shitty ice cream and keeping the good flavors to yourself. ❞
❝ it’s actually when you eat a reasonably large amount. was it a huge bag? ❞ theo couldn’t deny that he worked hard to spend time with mickey. he enjoyed their time together and he made sure he had the chance to be with him on numerous occasions. like now, he could have picked up an extra shift at the garage, but he declined to spend the evening with mickey. perhaps he cared more for the other than he cared to admit. he raised an eyebrow and knocked his knee against mickey’s as he grabbed another spoonful of mickey’s ice cream and sucked it from the spoon. ❝ i bet i can make a good meal out of the shit you have in your cupboards. ❞ theo finished off the ice cream and squeezed his hand against mickey’s knee with a smile. ❝ i’m taking this as a challenge, you know. ❞ theo pushed himself to his feet and stepped into the kitchen, beginning to root around in the cupboards, hoping to find something of worth. he found a packet of ramen noodles that he knew he could work with, so long as mickey actually had something substantial to pair with it. ❝ you enjoy anything i bring you, mick. you love me. ❞ the very idea of mickey loving him made his heart ache and he scolded himself for falling for somebody so emotionally unavailable. not that theo was much better when it came to his feelings. decades of his mother treating him like a drug mule was enough to shut him off from the world. ❝ mick, come here for a second. i need to know where your seasoning is. and pray you have anything good in here for me to put on the food. ❞
oh my god i really do suck lmao i am trash BUT i am feeling a lot better than before and literally so ready to be on here and plotting and writing so plsplspls like this and i will come into your ims for plotting !!
idris's heart was beating fast ― both from the intense pain that came from the old and not yet fully healed injuries to his leg & from the effort of running when he wasn’t supposed to. the collision with the other man had not only taken him by surprise, but also restored a fear that the nfl player had to have destroyed all the work done by the doctors to fix the ligaments and bones broken in the accident months before. the instant concern with the other man, however, made him try to ignore his pain & fear, the attention moving towards the stranger. ❛ are you sure you’re alright? are you hurting? ❜ he even tried to approach a step, but stopped himself at the moment he dumped his own weight on his bad leg, swallowing a new curse because of it. ❛ i kinda did, i wasn’t looking to where i was going, sorry again. i’m fine, i’ll survive this. i’m… kinda used to bumping into people, kinda do this for a living. but you! are you really alright? do you need help? ❜
it was funny. even after ten years, theo still found that his ribs ached if he knocked into something or if somebody pushed into him. his skin felt tight and pain pulsed through his body. he knew it was a phantom pain, but the fact that it was there, every time, so prominent and uncomfortable. theo disliked it more than he ever let on, but he had grown accustomed to it by now and he was harder to read than he once had been. he rubbed his hand over his face and chuckled a little, shrugging his shoulders. ❝ i’m really fine, man. there’s nothing to worry about, honestly. ❞ he was in pain, but that was really nothing new. theo was used to the pain. surely worse pain than this, too. he was more worried about the other guy, especially when he seemed to hurt himself again and theo was quick to grab his wrist and pull his arm around his shoulders. his own arm snaked around his back and he held him up against his side, frown pulling at his brow. ❝ you’re really not okay, man. you look like you’re gonna fucking topple over and i really ain’t in the mood to deal with that. where can i take you? you need to rest. ❞
she had to laugh at their initial response to her long winded question. it was an extremely shitty position to be in, ayana was sure of that, but she appreciated their honest opinion whether or not it helped her in the long run. “ okay, but what if you couldn’t actually do your job ? what if you were just wasting space and salary cap ? ” ayana was desperate for some kind of guidance as she looked to the stranger beside her. though she had no idea who this person was or why they even cared to respond to her random outburst, they were her best bet in her sudden moment of need.
amelia was nothing if not compassionate and helpful. she prided herself on helping others and trying to ease their pain, if she could. ❝ right, well, that would be a little different. ❞ she turned to face the other a little more and bit down on her lower lip. it was certainly a situation she was in and amelia definitely didn’t envy her for it. ❝ i think you have to do the best thing for yourself. and if that’s fighting for your position in the company, so be it. if it’s rolling over and letting them fire you and replace you, then fine. but you have to put yourself first sometimes, and i think this is one of those times. even if you aren’t the best person for the job. you do what you have to do. ❞
“phoebe would NEVER. i believe in her,” she assures, meaning every word. truthfully it wasn’t THAT big of a deal to winnie on a personal level but she could imagine the embarrassment parents must feel. “you’re exactly right. i just hope he doesn’t get in too much trouble at home when i bring it up at the parent-teacher conference. i hate them just as much as the kids do.” she laughs, recalling the memory from earlier today. “i don’t think he was expecting any kind of punishment from me but he hit me with a pouty, sad face and a ‘i swear it won’t happen again’. i told myself i need to go teach at university instead. maybe then i’d turn into a hard ass and actually be able to punish someone. i’m too soft.”
❝ i’d hope not. i never swear around her, if i can help it. ❞ it was the reason she would never work when phoebe was home, among others. it was hardly appropriate to subject a ten year old to the work of a phone sex worker. god, not even her parents knew what she did. as far as amelia was aware, nobody knew and she wanted to keep it that way. ❝ i can’t see how they can punish him too much. it’s their fault he was swearing. kids only think it’s appropriate when they hear it so often. and it’s hardly like they’re hearing it because of you. ❞ amelia snorted and pushed some of her hair out of her face. ❝ i can hardly imagine you standing in front of a class full of children and cursing till the cows come home. it’s just not something that seems feasible. even if the idea is hilarious. ❞
sitting at the bar , sulking in her own sorrows , ayana felt herself begin to let loose and relax as she sipped the chilled liquid from the rocks glass . she was only on her second one , but at the rate she was going , she’d be swaying and slurring her words in an hour , maybe two . “ can i ask you a question ? ” turning her body so she was facing them full on , ayana flipped her hair over her shoulder before she continued . “ if you could do anything in the world –––– say , tomorrow you landed your dream job , what would it be ? ” here’s where she was supposed to wait for their response but without even giving the other the chance , she spoke up once more . “ then let’s say you got the job , whatever that job is for you and a year later you get a promotion because you busted your ass and everything is great and you’re living your dreams but then months –––– no weeks later , you hear a rumor that you’re getting fired , that they’re replacing you … what do you do then ? ”
lia was taking some time for herself whilst phoebe spent the evening with her parents. it was nice and phoebe adored spending time with her grandparents. they doted on her so perfectly and she had arranged with her siblings for them to leave their children for the evening, too. phoebe had been so excited to have a sleepover with her cousins. lia was waiting for a couple of her co-workers to turn up at the bar when she heard the voice speaking to her. she turned and looked at the girl beside her, resting her chin in her hand. it was clear to see that she was talking about herself and lia frowned. ❝ that sounds like a pretty bad situation to be in. my opinion? find out for sure if you’re being fired and then replaced. there’s no point in reacting to rumours, they’re usually untrue. i, personally, would get the facts and then act upon those. ❞
❝ i’m eating just fine. ❞ michael mumbled, frowning down at his ice cream, scoffing at the flick on his ear. he’s sitting in his couch close enough that if he spread his leg just a little his knee would touch theodore’s, but he doesn’t, keeping himself frozen in place in the most nonchalant manner he could find. ❝ i had, like, a bag of hot cheetos forty minutes ago. ❞ and he’s aware enough to know it doesn’t paint a pretty picture, but considering mickey can usually go a day or two too high to even feel hunger, a bag of chips seems like a pretty good meal. ❝ what if i don’t want you to come over and cook for me ? i’ve been giving no proof you’re good at it. ❞ the brunet grinned, rolling his eyes fondly as theo digs the spoon into his ice cream, only waiting a few seconds before mimicking the motion, leaning forward to grab a spoonful of the other man’s ice cream. ❝ clearly you’re punishing me with bad ice cream. ❞ he said, spoon stuck between his teeth as he pushed his own treat towards the other man, his other hand wrapping around theo’s, tugging at the ice cream. ❝ gimme. ❞
❝ just fine, huh? ❞ theo knew mickey didn’t eat well and it was a big reason why he worried over him so often. any underlying feelings that may have been present were something theo didn’t dwell on and decided to ignore. especially knowing that the reason he cared so much for mickey was because of them. theo shifted a little and sat a little closer to mickey, bumping their shoulders together. ❝ you don’t seriously think that’s a balanced meal, mick? ❞ theo was a good cook, it was the only thing his mother had ever really given him in his life. he loved to do it, too. the idea of mickey eating something as simple as a bag of hot cheetos for a meal made his skin crawl and he shook his head. ❝ well, that’s why you have to let me come over and cook for you. that’ll be the proof that i’m good, mick. ❞ theo watched as mickey dug his spoon into his cup and smiled, eyes following the spoon as it disappeared into his mouth. his eyes lingered there for a moment and he swallowed thickly. the overwhelming desire to grab mickey’s face and kiss him almost controlling him. until mickey is grabbing his cup and asking to switch. it gives him something else to focus on and he rolled his eyes, grabbing hold of mickey’s cup and pulling it towards his chest as he pushed his cup into mickey’s hand. his eyes softened a little and he smiled softly, biting a little into his spoon. ❝ you demand a lot from me. ❞
❝ you know what, mick? i love you, man, but you gotta start eating right. i don’t think i can even be around you till you sort yourself out. ❞ theo snorted and flicked his finger against the lobe of mickey’s ear. he had bought the pair of them ice cream on the way back from work, impulsively deciding to drop in on mickey. this happened a lot, surprisingly. theo had found a good friend in mickey, even if he didn’t want to rightly admit that. their friendship was unlikely, but theo found that he treasured it dearly. he dug his spoon into the ice cream cup and watched mickey for a moment. ❝ i’ll come over and cook for you, man. seriously. i know you’re basically a twelve year old in there, but you have to start taking care of yourself. ❞ the idea of mickey perishing due to is ill health? not something that theo would ever wish to see. he always told mickey off for his bad behaviour when it came to eating. he popped the spoon into his mouth and hummed quietly before he was digging it into mickey’s cup. ❝ i bet yours tastes much better than mine. ❞ // @dcvilsdeal - MICKEY.
winnie was failing to hide her laughter, a chuckle or two slipping out as she recalled the event from today. although she never swore in front of her students, their families had apparently not been so cautious. she purses her lips together, trying to tell the tale as clearly as she could. “anywho, we were painting in class today and one of my students ended up with more paint on his hands than on his paper. when we were cleaning up he looked at me - completely serious expression on his face - and asked me ‘how the fuck do i get this off?’ it took every ounce of my energy not to laugh. i felt so bad having to punish him but i’d be in a bad spot if i had thirty children saying the word fuck in my classroom.”
“oh my god.” amelia stifled a laugh into her hand as she listened to winnie’s story. god, if phoebe ever swore at school, she would be mortified. how embarrassing it would be for her to have to hear that her daughter had said such a thing. ❝ that is.. terrible. i would hate to find out phoebe had said something like that. i guess some parents aren’t paying attention to the things they say around their kids. they pick up on so much that we don’t even realise. ❞ she brushed her fingers through her hair and sipped at her water. ❝ how did he even react when you punished him for it? ❞
jericho’s idyllic scenery became blurry as josie went cross eyed attempting to thread her needle with a light blue string for what seemed like the thousandth time. “for fuck’s sake.” she addressed the needle and thread and her own shaky hands. “it’s a good thing i quit med school.” she said aloud to no one in particular - she thought she was alone, in fact. josie had tucked herself behind a tree to enjoy the sunny day and get some work done, her neighbor’s dress wouldn’t hem itself after all. but she came across her first obstacle quickly, the thread just not cooperating with her today for some reason or another. still, she gave her thousand and one try a go, her tongue sticking out slightly as she carefully approached the needle with thread. she was far too occupied to notice anyone’s comings or goings.
being on break was frustrating for theo. he liked to work and keep himself busy and being on break gave him time to allow himself to think. which was never usually a good thing. theo grabbed a bite to eat at the diner and made his way to the park to get some fresh air. he found a seat against a bench, flicking through instagram on his phone whilst he ate. the profanity that left the mouth of a, presumably, young girl was a bit of a shock and theo snorted, turning a little to see where it came from. he sets his eyes on the young girl and watches her for a moment as she struggles with threading her needle. theo sipped at his milkshake and pushed himself up from the bench, throwing his rubbish into the bin as he passed it. ❝ you know, if you need help to thread that, i’m here. i used to thread needles for my aunt growing up. i’ve got a knack for it now. ❞
IT’D BEEN SIX MONTHS , six fucking months , since eleanor moved to jericho. so , she wasn’t quite sure why she still kept getting lost almost every time she tried to go somewhere new. she’d been trying to keep her sour mood under wraps for the past hour that she’d been walking around , trying to find her way back home , but the scowl that played across her lips made it clear that she was beyond unhappy. as she turned another corner and found that she was unfamiliar with everything nearby , her brows furrowed in annoyance and she sucked in a deep breath of cool air in an attempt to regain some semblance of control over her temper. ❝ are you FUCKING kidding me ?❞ escaped from her mouth, louder than she’d intended to be. ❝ this cannot be happening to me !❞
when her mother had asked to have phoebe for the day, amelia had jumped at the chance. a day to herself where she could get some housework done without having phoebe ask her for help with her homework? not that she needed it, but she enjoyed the two of them doing it together and amelia loved to help her. she had spent the entire day cleaning and rearranging furniture and, by the time it was early evening, she was exhausted. it was getting closer and closer to the agreed time to get phoebe and amelia wanted to treat her parents for being so supportive and helpful. a trip to the diner for their favourite meals could do the trick. bags in hand, amelia was ready to get inside and eat when she heard the voice from behind her, brow furrowing as she turned around. ❝ are you okay? ❞
it was hard to get used to everything. idris had been in jericho for only four days, but he already felt like an eternity had passed since he left denver in the middle of the night, guided by something that he still couldn’t explain. he had already been informed about the city and its fame, but was confused about everything he had heard on jericho’s really strange relationship with the topic of soulmates ― a subject in which the football player avoided thinking throughout his entire life because of his beliefs that it is all too good to be true. trying to push his thoughts about it out of his head, idris decided to leave the lovely inn where he was staying during his indeterminate stay in town; with the more than stupid idea of going out for a little run, even though his many doctors and physiotherapists didn’t allow him to. big mistake. after only a few minutes of running, idris was already in pain, and a few yards more were needed for him to give up altogether; but not before bumping into someone who was heading the opposite way, causing a wave of pain to spread across his injured leg. ❛ holy shit, dammit, fuckin-… i mean, i’m sorry! i wasn’t cursing at you! are you alright? sorry! ❜
after winning yet another fight, theo needed to take some time to himself. his wrists were beginning to give in on him and he had strapped them up a few hours earlier, already feeling the ease in his muscles. the rest of his body was aching, his knees clicking painfully and his shoulders aching beneath his skin. his doctor had told him that he had to give up on the fighting, but that was not an option. not after all that theo had been through to keep fighting. whatever it took to keep him going, he would do it. short walks and icing his joints were supposedly the best things he could do, so he did. plenty of icing and strapping up, theo now just needed to go for a walk. it all seemed a little trivial in his mind, but theo was passionate about fighting. the only way he would stop fighting was another threat to his life. and he had made it clear how he had felt the first (and last) time that had happened to him. a stroll around the park would do him some good, he would probably stop for a burger on the way back, say hi to a couple of people. he could get some errands done, too. except, none of that even got to happen before theo was colliding with another person, pain shooting through his arm as his shoulder comes into contact with them. ❝ fucking hell, man. fuck. that hurt. ❞ theo exhaled heavily and shook his head, waving his hand at them. ❝ no. it’s fine. i wasn’t swearing at you, either. i’ll be fine. it’s not like you caused this, huh? you all good? ❞

gotta have me some trash kids! i cannot resist! like this to plot with lia !
born to peter and angelica williams, amelia was the sixth child in their growing family. her father was a carpenter and her mother worked in the local diner, often keeping her children with her as she worked, keeping them contained to a booth in the back so that they did not have to pay for childcare. money was sparse but love was not. lia never had to wonder if her parents cared for all they did was shower their children with love and ambition.
lia was a dancer from the young age of four, as soon as she could walk, she was dancing. forever on her tiptoes, spinning around the sitting room and falling into her brothers and sisters. ballet was her favourite, it allowed her to be the sweet girl she was, delicate and nimble, hair slicked back into a bun as she twirled around the room. her parents could not have been happier as they sat in the audience of all her showcases, watching her on stage, having the time of her life.
she easily stole the hearts of all the boys at school and all the teachers loved her. lia was focused on her work, even able to buddy up with other members of the class to help them study. it was there, in study group, that she met the girl that would become her first girlfriend. lia was infatuated with her, wondering why she could never stop thinking about the beautiful girl who sat opposite her. it would happen six months later, the realisation, with her head between lia’s thighs and her hand clasped over her mouth to keep her quiet. their relationship burned quickly but oh, so bright. it was from there that lia realised she was into woman and only woman.
her parents were understanding people, they never made their children feel bad for anything they felt. including when lia came out to them. she hadn’t entirely realised it was coming out when she casually mentioned her affinity for women, but it was well received. and now, having grown up and hearing her ex’s horror stories, she could not be more thankful to her parents for being the people they were and are. so loving and generous, kind and warm, even in the most trying of times. lia owed them everything and she made sure they knew how grateful she was, everyday.
she left jericho to go to university, spending the next six years of her life studying accountancy. she was a smart girl with a good head on her shoulders and she wanted to make her parents proud, she wanted to be able to pay them back, in some way, for everything they had done for her and her siblings. it was there, in the midst of studying for her bachelor’s degree, that the worst night of her life would take place. a party, the most innocent of things, something to celebrate the end of their exams, the signalling of their new lives as better and successful people. lia couldn’t remember the majority of the evening, only the end of it, waking up to another on top of her. she couldn’t move, couldn’t speak, she felt like she was underwater, trapped, unable to defend herself. she drifted in and out of consciousness throughout, waking fully in the morning, the realisation of what had happened to her hanging heavy over her head. a visit to the hospital and the police department proved that nothing would happen. she had been raped and they were interested solely in the amount she had drank, what she had been wearing, how she was acting. it made her sick to her stomach. when she got back home, she couldn’t bare to tell her parents. she wanted to bury it deep inside of herself, pretend it never happened. the universe had a different idea. six weeks later, lia found herself staring at four pregnancy tests, all reading positive.
she had no choice, then. she had to tell her parents. they would never believe any story she could fabricate, they had seen the way lia looked at each of the women in her life, as though they were the moon and she the stars. they were furious, angry beyond belief, at the situation, the way it had been handled, the man who had done this to her. but they stood by her when she told them she wanted to have the baby. she knew it would be hard, but nothing, not even knowing how she had came to be pregnant, would push her to terminate her child.
becoming an accountant seemed so futile when she would have to leave in mere months to have her child. she took a job as a waitress in the diner her mother had worked when she was a child. it seemed rather fitting and she had worked there during school and she had never lost the knack for it. once she had her daughter, phoebe, lia spent more time at home, with her mother helping her and her father doting on his granddaughter whenever he could. she was, without a doubt, the most spoiled baby girl in town. but she was the most beautiful baby, taking entirely after lia, right down to her eye colour. she had been warned at her therapy group that she might feel resentment towards her when she was born, see that night replay in her mind over and over. but she hadn’t. all she felt when she looked at her daughter was love and adoration.
ten years later and lia now works as a phone sex operator, something she had never seen herself doing. the opportunity had arisen and lia, being the easygoing person she was, had been intrigued to try it out. three years later and she’s still there, enjoying every second. she found that she got more housework done when she worked, helping men and women reach their high. phoebe looked more and more like lia did everyday, taking after her in intelligence, too. top of her class and brainy as ever, lia couldn’t ask for a better life.
lil extras
lia spends a large portion of her life making baby outfits for the local hospital. she hates the idea of newborn babies not having blankets or jackets to go home with. it’s something she can do whilst she works, allowing herself to become distracted and enveloped with it.
she is not a heavy drinker, but each night, she will have a glass of red wine with dinner. she and phoebe both spend friday evening at her parents, having dinner with them and her siblings. by now, they all have their own children and phoebe is the eldest, taking charge to keep them all happy and playful.
she has self harm scars littering her upper thighs, mostly faded and hard to see through the tattoos she had to cover them. not because she wanted to forget, because she wanted to mark that stage of her life as over.
she is an avid baker, hosting bake sales with the school quite often to raise money for various charities that mean something to at least one person in jericho. quite often, lia has been known to donate money to varying charities dealing with rape survivors and single homeless mothers.

hola ! i am lucy and theo is my trash child. he deserves far better than i am giving him but you know what, he probably deserves some of it. anyway, let me know if y’all wanna write with him!
his parents moved to jericho when theo was two, looking forward to a new and exciting life. it was exciting, but it was hardly new. the same old things happened, day after day. his mother found life at the end of a needle and his father found love in every bed that wasn’t his own. theo was lucky to have other family members in town that would take him for the day. they showed him what a stable family looked like, with parents that loved one another and loved their children.
he was seven the first time that he found his mother on the bedroom floor, a needle sticking out of her arm. his aunt had told him what to do if he ever found her unconscious. so, he followed her instructions, running the whole way to her house, banging on her door as loudly as his little fists would allow him. his mother, unfortunately, survived that overdose. he felt bad for thinking it a bad thing that she came through the other side, but theo endured long nights and hard fists at the mercy of his mother. every man that came through their house wanted something that she didn’t want to give up, theo trying his hardest to stick up for her.
his father left town on his fifteenth birthday, the same day that theo would make his break into the world of underground fighting. bloodied fists and broken bones (none of them his) were endured each night, sweat dripping from his skin as he won fight after fight. he had more anger than his body could hold and he needed to find a release. fighting was that very thing for him. one evening, after a particularly long and gruelling fight, the owner of the local garage approached theo, recruiting him to work as a mechanic for him. he needed to make an honest living, at least for the time being. fighting was something theo was good at, but he couldn’t do it forever.
his mother died on christmas eve two years into his work as a mechanic, when he was nineteen. his aunt and uncle had left town earlier in the year and theo was, for all intents and purposes, completely alone. he had left the fighting behind him, trying to make his way in the real world, making an honest day’s work to have something to be proud of. but with the death of his mother and the realisation of how lonely he was, he slipped straight back into it. long days turned into even longer nights, bloody lips and bruised ribs. but, theo was a winner. he never lost a fight, each night only succeeding in making him stronger, faster, unbeatable. he was the one to watch, the one up and coming fighters would do their best to go up against, only to find that he truly was the best of the best. nothing could stop him.
until one night, when he was jumped on the way home from a big fight. he stood up for himself, but there was only so much he could do against four other guys. and not just four guys, but four guys with weapons. the moonlight shone against the knife as it was revealed before him, blood spilling from his lip and cheekbone. his head was pounding and his mind was fuzzy, but he knew what was going to happen. he knew that night could very well have been his last. theo had been told that being stabbed was an outer body experience, you don’t feel the pain until much later. that was bullshit. he felt every inch of the knife sinking into the meat of his flesh, the blood pooling around the knife and then the wound as it was pulled out of his body. the second time it sank into his skin, his vision went blurry and all he could remember was being held down as they attempted to put him down. for good.
three days later, theo woke up in hospital. somebody had brought him in, carried him all the way from the club to the hospital. the stranger hadn’t given his name and nobody could rightly even recall what he looked like. theo owed his life to a complete stranger and he would never know who they were. it took a week after the event and being sent home from the hospital for theo to find that his soulmark had moved. it had once rested against his right side, covering his ribcage. the attack had left his entire right side badly damaged and scarred, the soulmark no longer recognisable against his skin. the new place his body had found for it, his right thigh. as striking as ever. theo found himself longing for it back in its original place, though saw exactly why it could no longer be there with the first time his bandages were removed. scars laid upon scars and it was a wonder he wasn’t dead. it took months of healing and some counselling to get past the event, but theo grew stronger, faster, began to carry his own weapon to defend himself, should the need arise. he had never gotten over the attempt on his life, proven by the removal of the four men that had been to blame. not murder, no, theo was a bad person on all accounts, but he wasn’t a murderer. he was just really persuasive.
ten years had passed and theo was moving on. he still fought, stupidly strong as ever, though now, there were no problems with any of the other fighters. truth be told, theo could never give up on fighting, it was such a large part of his life. it was what got him through everything. it’s harder than ever to get through to him, trying to have a conversation with him now was like trying to get blood out of a stone. living alone with two dogs, pearl and scoob, theo was more than content with his life. even if his mind did still wander to that night, wondering if his soulmate had felt the intense pain that he had. if his soulmate even knew if he was still alive. theo was sure he would die that night, so he didn’t see a reason why his soulmate would think any different.
lil extras
theo is basically just a massive asshole. he does mean well, sometimes, but his parents made him a hardened and struggling young child and all he ever set out to do was make them happy. it was only as he got older than he realised that they would never be happy with him, they weren’t even happy with themselves.
he loves to swear. every other word is a swear word. you’re lucky if he doesn’t swear at least once in a sentence.
he has been known to be loving and caring, but mostly with his dogs. and his nieces on the odd occasion he sees them.
christmas and his birthday are truly the worst time of the year for him, he couldn’t care less about the holidays and he does not want to celebrate. extreme circumstances can be accounted for and he will celebrate with his nieces, but only because of the little smiles on their faces when he opens a present from them.
he’s bisexual, but with a strong preference for males. he’s entirely unapologetic in who he is and prides himself on being himself. he won’t change for anybody, no matter who it is.
he smokes. a lot. whiskey is his favourite drink. you’ll often find him with a glass of whiskey in one hand and a cigarette in the other. if it’s been a long day at work, it’ll be a rum and coke, with coke just to colour it.
