Oh yeah I totally get understanding different interpretations of a character through a purely analytical lens. I'm quite strict with my ships and top/bottom/switch dynamics, but it's often hard to find things that align with my own ideas so I have to branch out or create my own stuff. I've found that character analysis helps me understand why other people ship something I don't, but it's definitely very rare for me to read something other than my preferred top/bottom/switch dynamic (which is a different problem in and of itself)

I admit that my top R.itsu hc started out as a joke. I just thought it would be really funny if he was the only top and the rest of K.nights prefer to bottom. It still makes me laugh, even though I've since updated this a bit with ace I.zumi and top R.itsu isn't set in stone. Realistically though, as I understand, it definitely depends on who he's having sex with. As an example: R.itsu likes to take care of T.sukasa and guide him, so he'd help T.sukasa explore what he likes and take on a "role" according to that (top/bottom, dom/sub), perhaps only in the beginning, perhaps for a longer time (this is of course ignoring that Tsukasa generally doesn't want to be "babied," but it's just a thought experiment anyway).

Wait I've just had an idea. R.itsu who has to learn that being a top/dom doesn't have to mean that he's strong or can't be hurt. R.itsu who wants/needs to be taken care of regardless of his "role". R.itsu who learns that he's still the same person and won't be left alone just because of something as trivial as sex. There is SOMETHING HERE. You know more about Ritsu, please tell me your opinion on this
