hanzo-txt :
Hanzo stayed silent for a whole, and took the medical inspection calmly. But he knew why the doctor was stoic towards him. The same reason why most people on the base considered him as a villain. At this point, he was used to it.
Up until she took hold of his hand and… wiped his sweat off? He finally spoke up.
“… you know you don’t have to act like you tolerate me. I know you don’t. And I don’t except you to.” He took a deep breath and stared at the floor. Anything to make this feel less awkward than it has to be.
Even if Genji has forgiven him, it wouldn’t necessarily mean his friends and teammates should too. He couldn’t help but chew on these thoughts and grip on his pants tightly, as he tried not to grit his teeth too hard.
He just begged internally that the doctor doesn’t try to bring up the subject of the past, as it has been talked about way too much already. Everyone and their mother knew the story by now. It only made Hanzo feel way worse than he already did.
She breaks physical contact by retracting her hands and placing the handkerchief back within her lab coat. “As a doctor, I do not discriminate. It goes against the Hippocratic Oath, one all medical practitioners abide by.” A pragmatic and almost instinctive response from the good doctor as she, likewise, avoids direct eye contact by monitoring the machine at her side.
After a few moments of strained silence, Angela finally fixes her gaze upon Hanzo. She noted the stiff slope of his shoulders, gritted teeth, and protruding veins from his forearm. Something akin to guilt swelled within her chest and prompted her lips to part for speech once more.
“... Vhilst I may not... condone past transgressions, you’ve voluntarily made the decision to join us - making you a member Overwatch. And...” She hesitates. “If... Genji can find it within his heart to forgive you, then I must look past my own bias’.” The woman releases a small repentant sigh before locking gazes with the archer - her cerulean orbs clashing against his earthy hues.
“If I’ve been hostile or made you feel alienated in any way, I deeply apologize.” She speaks in earnest.
