“In Residence” is an intimate and poetic video series created by Nowness, a website that offers up the best in arts and culture through film. The series looks inside the homes of today’s most celebrated artists, architects, and designers, including my personal event planner crush, Alexandre de Betak. The interview with sculptor Xavier Corbero, is particularly beautiful and delightfully surreal (what else are we to expect from an old friend of Salvador Dali’s, and a man considered the most significant Catalan artist since Gaudi?). As we move through his vast and eccentric home (pictured above) in scenes framed as if they’re part of a Spanish West Anderson film, Corbero tells us that “whether it’s sculptures, buildings, or spaces, the outcome of what I do has to be poetry”. “I use reason to build things up so they don’t fall to pieces”, he acknowledges, “but the motives behind all the rest are aesthetic, ethic and, if you will, divine.” Watch the Corbero interview here, and enjoy the full series here.
The first photo is a screen shot from the video, while the rest I found here (taken by Jérôme Galland and an unknown source).

Richard Branson and Marie Forleo in one room, in one interview, is 2much2handle for this newbie entrepreneur. <3
Fantastic advice and energizing inspiration. A must watch for anyone running their own business.

Some shots of “The Invisible Box” installation we had Brave Space create during the Mind Ball 2015. Artists drew a template and asked questions from the inside, while guests were invited to fill in the blanks from the outside with their stories of being or needing an ally, their ideas for creating communities of belonging, and their vision for a stigma free future.
