Always Sunny for Yu

 Marie had lit up and that caused him to smile even wider. Then she popped that question and his cheeks turned a bit rosy. Yu’s gaze was pulled away from her.  “Of course.” He answered after a moment of silence. “Do you really think I’d make a promise like that if a wedding wasn’t attached to it?”

          “Well how was I supposed to know dumbidiotthatIlove? I just. I thought

           maybe you’d. Well. You sometimes wax poetic... Like I do. Thought I

           know poems don’t always mean what they say. You know.... Dumb

           Izanagi.”

   She had clearly been flustered, given how much she was slipping into

   her tsundere nature around him. Damn... She thought she had gotten 

   rid of most of that. Marie supposed there was just some things that 

   would never entirely go away of her nature around him.

{{🍖}} “Dragon Amist the Storm, huh …”

A quiet pause as she took in the poem she had found on the ground, giving it a quiet read through.

“It … it’s good. But I don’t get it.” She murmured, holding the paper closer, as if that would help divine the meaning.

          “ Ahhhh! “

   In came the goddess, swiping the paper from her. Her face was ever an

   elegant shade of red.

          “ D-D-Don’t look at that! “

 Their walk had proven to be even more satisfying than before, but more than that Yu had been happy to hear she wasn’t playing with the weather on his account. Naturally nice days were always perfect in his book. Naturally bad ones too. The weather didn’t make him nervous anymore now that the whole issue had been solved years ago.

 Then came Marie’s poetry. It’d been ad lib as far as he could tell, but it could’ve been one she wrote recently. Given the nature though it felt more like her poem spawned from their current trip. When her poem was over Yu leaned down to kiss her cheek.

 “That poem was beautiful, like you.” He complimented. “If every day is perfect when I’m here though, I’ll make certain to be here for as long humanly possible. That way I can give you many more perfect days and the memories that’d go with them.”

          “ Memories. . . It’s what brought us together. “

   The fact he had liked her spur of the moment poetry made her

   feel delighted and giddy. Since he was moving here, she’d mess

   with the weather less than she had on his breaks. Probably to

   some sort of other celestials relief.

          “ That means we’re going to be married someday, right? “

 “I’m afraid that’s considered an abuse of power.” He playfully scolded.

 His free hand was used to pat Marie on the head. Yu then started leading her out of the building and out onto the sidewalk. Their late autumn afternoon had turned into an early evening and the sunset was there to greet them. He paused to take in the breeze before smiling down at Marie.

 “I’m glad I could have such a perfect moment in the day be shared with you.”

          “ You’re one to be speaking of an abuse of power, Izanagi. “

   She smiled a little at the head pat. Even if it reminded her of how

   short she was, she didn’t mind it as long as it was Yu. The day

   was indeed between. Judging from what she could see and

   feel, the night would be just as pleasant and clear. Which meant

   starry skies.

          “ And I haven’t even touch the weather today. Outside of my

            little breeze earlier when teasing you. Every day is perfect

            when you’re with me Narukami. “

   A pause, before she looked skyward, trusting Yu to keep her from

   tripping.

          “ Like the autumn breeze, the leaves that fall

            I find myself floating along them all.

              For like the birds, I have my own song. . .

              The tune? The beat of my heart with yours so strong

                 And the lyrics are that of my unending love for you

                 Thus the song never shall have a adieu. “

 “I love you too.” He whispered in a tone of endearment. “Shall we get going? We won’t be able to get good seats if we wait too long. Snacks too if we want them.”

 Sure they’d have plenty of time to spare if they left even five minutes from now, but fashionably late wasn’t in Yu’s repertoire. He preferred to be early as it was the only way to be on time in his book. Despite his words though no movements were made on his part that’d actually lead to them leaving.

          “ I could just pop us over there, y’know. “

   But he was right, they should get going. She pulled out of his

   embrace, leaning up to kiss his cheek, before taking his hand.

   Despite how she’d act at times, she was truly happy.

“King now huh? Well I guess that’s fine if you’re my Queen.” Yu answered back. “I’m not up to anything though. Just trying to show my girlfriend a good time with dancing and a movie.”

 She’d presented him with the opportunity and Yu decided to take it. Since her back was to him he brought his arms down over her shoulders and rested his hands together at her mid section. A kiss was then placed to the top of Marie’s head.

 “Is that so bad?”

          “ I know you also enjoy embarrassing me. “

   A huff to go along with the blush still on her cheeks. She leaned

   back against him. She was small compared to him, a good six

   inches shorter. She didn’t mind. . . Too much.

          “ I love you. . . “

=🌠= “W-Well, I’m still going to deliver the message, Miss Izanami! That’s the job they sent me to do, so I’m going to do it! Um …”

She closed her eyes, quietly listening to the voice in her head. The sun was calling her, telling her exactly what to say.

“Izanami, the stars are unhappy with how you direct the weather the way you do in a singular area, to suit how you want it to be. That’s they’re … j-jurisdiction? Or at least, they’re supposed to play a part in it. The, um, system, they called it. And since they know you probably won’t listen to me, they’re gonna, um …”

A pause as the stellar rabbit’s eyes went wide. Oh. Well, this goddess wasn’t going to be happy with her.

“Th-they’re gonna have me stick by your side and watch you. If you mess with the climate without at least giving them a heads up, they want me to use my power to reverse whatever you do. That’s, um … th-that’s the message.”

Oh, dear …

          “ Uh. I’m the patron goddess of this place. I don’t have to listen

            to them. “

   Oh, she listened to the many words the rabbit had said. And she didn’t

   care for them. Not. One. Bit. Screw the stars, it was her duty to watch

   over this place.

 “You really think so? Maybe I should grab some poor girl and see if putting the moves on her would kill her.” He mused. “However, I see you still can’t make up your mind on what name to call me when you’re flustered. Izanami.”

 Something that’d amused him wasn’t just how flustered she’d gotten, but the fact that in dragging him off to the side Marie had gone and tugged him almost to the corner of the room. Despite being off the dance floor though, there were still many prying eyes from others who had been dazzled by their dancing.

 “Do you remember what movie we’ll be seeing in a few minutes? I hope not, because then when you do remember it’ll likely fluster you even more.”

          “ Shutupyoudumboidiot! “

   Cheeks puffed out, as hands balled into fists. She bounced a bit on

   her toes, before turning her back to him.

          “ Just what are you up to, King? Y-You’ve already won my heart! “

   She had half a mind to poof again once they were out of the building,

   just to mess with him. After all, she had hardly any ammo to use

   against him. He was a very resourceful man.

 Given she had become so flustered and distracted by the number of people watching and clapping Yu decided to seize the moment. Marie’s hand was taken up in his. a kiss was given to the top while a playful lick was given to her index finger. Immediately afterwards she was dipped down into a kiss again.

 “They were all captivated by your passionate dancing Marie.” He remarked while standing upright. “Your grace and poise were remarkable. If only they knew how remarkable you actually are.”

          “ Y-Yu! “

   She hadn’t expected any of this. At all. Oh stars. And why did he have to

   go and do that with her hand?? Was he trying to cause problems? A tiny

   huff was let out, as she grasped him by the wrist, briskly walking him off

   to the side. She wanted out of the spotlight. The person that she wanted

   to be the focus of was the man next her.

          “ Iz-Izanagi. . . You’re too much. . . Which is why I’ve decided I must

            always be by your side, lest you give a mortal girl a heart attack. “

“I hope you’re prepared.” Yu warned before kissing her and bringing his lips to her ear. “Because I intend for you to have to abuse your power. We’re doing the Bolero, not the Foxtrot.”

 As the music kicked on for the next song no one seemed to be taking to the floor. Immediately Yu took the opportunity and dragged Marie out and right into the dance. He knew full well that the spotlight would entirely be on them with this move and that was exactly what he wanted. For everyone to see them and marvel without realizing that a goddess and her lover had taken over the floor. The confident smile he had before was replaced by an intense and suave expression.

   Bolero? Stars above, she would have to read his mind to flow

   well. Especially since she didn’t know this particular dance.

   So they became one on the dance floor, moving with each

   other in perfection.

      She even stole a few kisses to his neck when she came in close

      contact with Yu. True to her word, her grace never faltered, despite

      wearing her platforms.

   When they finished, she was panting. She took in the room around

   them. Everyone had been watching them and she hadn’t even realized.

          “ Oh. Oh no. “

“Done already my goddess? We still have fifteen minutes before we need to make it to the movies five minutes early.” He teased. “We could very much dance more you know. Or are you done with my sweeping you off your feet for now?”

 Yu knew she was more than likely done for the evening. There was no Marie would continue after comments like that and switching shoes. If she did it’d be a pleasant surprise that he’d be happy to indulge in. As for the movie they’d be seeing, it was that new romantic block buster; ‘Hearts of the Land’. It featured a long distance relationship between a princess and her knight sent to fight in a foreign kingdom. Supposedly the end of it was such a beautiful ending that it almost always had audience members in tears.

          “ You know what? Take me, Narukami Yu. Take me out on this dance

            floor and make me fall in love with you all over again. I will keep up

            with you, even in these boots, mark. My. Words. “

   And there was her spitfire nature, getting her in trouble. She was

   was probably going to fall from grace tonight, but if it was with

   another god, who gave a damn?

 “Wow, you were really affected by that little romantic display weren’t you?” He mused upon seeing her.

 She was a bit of a mess. Red in the face, messy hair, no hat, clothes slightly disheveled and a shoe missing. Poor girl was probably only expecting a waltz, not a ton of passion. Though he had a few more things in store for her.

 Marie was take by the waist and dipped back. A romantic and sweet kiss had been firmly planted on the goddess’ lips. Once she was brought back up he continued to spare no quarter.

 “That’s a bit easier on my back, but how about now that you’ve lost four inches in height we do the Foxtrot?” He teased.

          “ Little? Narukami, you’re going all out, don’t lie to your goddess. “

   Face was still crimson, flustered even more by this and the fact he

   suggested a Foxtrot.

          “ Ha, ha, very funny. “

   She went over to grab her belongings, placing the stray shoe in her

   bag, then worked on getting her boots back on.

Marie had done well to keep up with him, though much like a browser she was using prediction to keep up. She was far too focused not to be. It hadn’t saved her from her embarrassment however. once done Yu gave her a bow. When he came up he found Marie was gone.

 “Oh… There she goes again.” He thought aloud.

 You know Izanami, I’m being left alone here to make it seem like I was dancing alone like a mad man. Can’t I see your beautiful blushing face?

          “ Fine, fine here I am! “

   She appeared, face super red, hair a mess. Hat had left her when she

   flopped on the bed. Hands went to quickly pull and tug on her clothes

   to make herself less disheveled. She then noted a shoe had flung off in

   her kicking as well. She reached down quickly taking the other off.

        Which unfortunately now left her four inches shorter.

 Off she went. What’d been done was clearly an abuse of power, but outside of Yu, no one seemed to even notice that he’d come here with a partner yet said partner was suddenly absent. While he waited for her to come back everything was already getting started for the first round of dancing. Yet Marie wasn’t gone long enough to cause any worry or issues.

 Once she was back and prepared, it was quickly noted what changed. Apparently she didn’t want to risk stomping around in her boots. He took her hand and lead her to the dance floor. Proper form was taken up and Marie was given a soft kiss.

 “I don’t think you’re actually ready.” Yu mused. Afterwards a confident smile appeared on his face before he started leading her through the steps.

            “ I’m probably not. . . “

   With that she was led out onto the dance floor. Gods. . . This dance was

   so much more sensual and intimate than she thought it would be. Unfortunately

   for her, he followed through on his suggestion. Through the quickstep, jive,

   and samba they went, she feeling more and more embarrassed.

       What she wasn’t ready at all for, was when he leaned in, whispering into her

       ear.

          “ Now cha-cha REAL smooth. “

   The cha-cha? But she was swept up into it, following the best she could. The

   advantage of being a goddess was predicting what move he might do next,

   which helped her keep up and follow.

      When they were done, she poofed. Too much embarrassment. When back

      at her abode, she flopped onto the bed, grabbing a pillow and screamed

      into it, legs kicking behind her.

 “If you step on my feet it means you’re out of practice.” He teased. “Just be happy that there isn’t any kind of audience, though I wouldn’t have minded that.”

It wasn’t too much longer before they were at their destination. As they were lead to their final destination within the building Yu just continued to be all smiles. Oh how he couldn’t wait to put her through the steps. He was even happy to the point of humming.

      “ Oh what are you so smug about? “

   She looked around, before deciding something.

          “ Hold on. Lemme just pop out a second. “

   Snap. She was out of his view and back in her abode. She went into

   her closet, choosing a different set of heels than the platform boots she

   had on. Much better for dancing a tango in. She’d change back into her

   boots when they were done. Poof. She was back, the sound of her

   stilettos clicking on the floor as she set her bag and boots to the side.

          “ Alright, I’m as ready as I’ll ever be. “
