Reason #12456457 why I'm interested in meteorology! Weather and earth science is endless and its power is incredible. These videos are from the mostly underwater volcanic eruption that happened near Tonga Friday evening. IMAGE 1: Is a satellite view from satellite #GOESWest of the volcanic ash cloud eruption. If you pay close attention you will see the shockwaves expand outward. IMAGE 2: Is an infrared view also from #GOESWest. It is beyond incredible to see the contrast in what is going on here scientifically. You see the warmth of the ash cloud as it interacts with the cold of the troposphere and expands out. Might not mean much to some, but my science brain is amazed. I'm about to get real candid...

Where to begin....

Where we stand is still a waiting game. We are waiting at least another week to reevaluate unless the pain becomes unmanageable or my ureter becomes obstructed. The stone is currently sitting within my ureter trying to move to my bladder. Unfortunately either choice I make right now has the potential to cause damage. If we continue the waiting game and my stone doesn't pass I could see scar tissue and kidney damage, but if we do surgery too soon I could see scar tissue and kidney damage. Doctor said that if I have not passed this stone by the week after Thanksgiving, I will have no choice but to have surgery. Its cute he thinks I'll last that long lol. However, I understand where he is coming from. So, we wait. We wait to see if I can pass it. We wait to see if I develop infection (which is a possibility). We wait to see if surgery is needed sooner rather than later. My options for surgery will be a stint, no laser due to the stones current location. If I need surgery, he will be going in to remove the stone and placing a stint in either for a few days or awhile. Depending upon how long I need the stint and any complications will dictate how long I will be in the hospital and recovery after.

I'm not looking forward to the excruciating pain to continue to come if my body decides to cooperate, but surgery isn't ideal either. Especially since my mental health crisis this year has used up all my PTO and whatever time I will spend in the hospital/recovery will go largerly unpaid and that's terrifying with bills, a pet to take care of, and an apartment to pay for. If there was ever a time I needed good vibes and prayers it is NOW.

I'm gonna throw my two cents in, but do we know when Buck gets that black eye? Maybe Buck goes full Buck and tries to protect Eddie and gets hurt. Eddie is forced to leave an unconscious Buck as the hostage taker forces him away. An idea as to Eddie screams Buck's name and Buck screams Eddie's in the leaked clip 🤷🏽‍♀️ Can you imagine the angst they'd be putting each other through while they were separated for hours?

The food that alone could feed fanfic is like a buffet!

Spending the night in the ER was not how I expected my last two nights to go. Currently trying to pass a 5mm kidney stone. Family genetics are GREAT! Thankfully I already had the day off of work yesterday. I'm no stranger to extreme pain but damn this may be the worst. Did you know you can blow blood vessels in your eyes from vomiting so violently? So, if you see me with scary bloody eyes, I promise I'm not dying. Just cranky and miserable. Life is so fun 😩

Asking for prayers that this pain subsides and this stupid stone passes quickly. I'm also fighting a low grade fever so doc is hoping I don't develop a kidney infection along with this.

Attempting work today....should be fun.

My life is a circus I swear! Anyone wanna write my tv movie? 🤣

Update:

Back in the Emergency Room again with unimaginable pain. More tests and more concerns. Doc was ready to send me to surgery until she found out there wasn't a bed available for me. Having a kidney emergency during a pandemic is grand. So, here I am forced to deal with this pain and "hope" my body can find a way to naturally pass it unless my condition worsens to the point I can't. Stronger pain meds and I can barely walk. I don't see the urologist until next Thursday the 7th. Fam, I'm going to need all the prayers you can give me. This pain is like nothing I've ever experienced and I can barely keep anything down. I'm at a loss...

September 11th, 2001

20 years ago....its hard to believe it has been that long.

I remember that day like it was yesterday.

I remember sitting in my 6th grade classroom during an English lesson when our principal interrupted the day over the intercom. Mr. Everett announced slowly with emotion that a terrorist attack had just taken place. That the World Trade Centers had been hit by two large plans. At that time, we didn't quite know all the details. I remember my classmates each looking around at each other. We were old enough to understand, but also young enough to still have some innocence to the world.

September 11, 2001 I lost my innocence to the world. Within a day, we all learned how terrifying the world could be. We watched replays of the planes hitting the towers. We watched stunned as the 1st tower fell and then the second. Our teachers gathered with us as we learned the pentagon was also hit.

I remember my Mom picking me up from school early and hugging me fiercely. My first fear was looking up at the sky wondering if a plane was going to come crashing down on us. I remember my Mom telling me it was all going to be okay. My Mom gently telling me my birthday party for that evening was canceled. I remember being in such a state of shock that at the newly age of 12, I didnt question it. I watched the grown ups around me as they tried to grapple with this tragedy. Watching their every move as an indicator of how I should react.
