Getting the best from ecommerce and some great web tools

We have completed several projects over the last few months where we were able to improve efficiency and increase sales through more effective communition solutions and here were some of the tools we used for these jobs:

1) Prestashop - upgraded to the latest build for improved functions and SEO

2) linked up Mailchimp to shopping cart to speed up and automate communication combined with ability to review stats on who opens mails and who does not. A really nice feature is the ability to target certain data groups for emailing and this can be a real game changer.

3) Xero accounts was used to stream line accounting back end linked to the shopping cart

4) Youtube used to showcase products - it's a great remote / 24 / 7 sales tool

5) Social media marketing to spread the word (facebook, twitter etc.,)

Not every projects calls for all the solutions above to be used, but once a site is getting a sensible number of transactions per month they really start to make a difference.
