Assignment 1- Personal Bio
My name is Kelly Tischler and I am a senior at both the College of DuPage and at St. Xavier University in Chicago, IL. I am a communications major with concentrations in both online communications and health communications. I have had quite the college experience these last three years. My freshman year I attended Benedictine University in Lisle, IL studying special education, my sophomore year I was only here at COD in the Speech-Language Pathology Assistance program, my junior year I transferred to St. Xavier were I majored in Communications Sciences and Disorders and now this year!
Outside of my school life, I currently live in Darien, IL where I have grown up my whole life. I recently moved out of my parents house and live with two roommates on the other side of town. I have worked at the Darien Swim and Rec Club for the last six years now and after labor day this year, I will be hanging up my whistle for good. I also work at Snyder Insurance and Financial Services, a brokers office. I am an assistant in the Life and Health Department. My third job that I have will start after labor day and I will be a server at Keystone Bar and Grill.
As you can see I am a very busy person but with the little free time that I do have I love spending time with my friends. I have a group of about 5 friends that have become my family. We love going to our favorite restaurant, TGI Friday's where two of our friends are servers. We all love country music and will go to any concerts that we can and enjoy doing anything outside. We even all pitched in and bought a tent and go camping whenever the weather is good. I also have three little brothers that I can no longer call little seeing as though they are all taller than me, the tallest one being 6'7''.
I am very excited to get to know everyone else in this class!
