It feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in. In making it, I felt less like I was departing and more like I was returning. I loved the escapism I found in these imaginary/not imaginary tales. I loved the ways you welcomed the dreamscapes and tragedies and epic tales of love lost and found into your lives.

i just wanted to say thank you. thank you for everything you’ve done for me, taylor. i’ve been having a hard time lately. i can’t even explain it really i just know that i’m not happy. and all of my happiest memories from this year are all thanks to you. school’s been really hard, and something happened a couple years ago that i just can’t let go of. it hurts every single day. i’m so tired all the time, and it doesn’t matter how much sleep i get. and i know i’m not alone i have amazing friends. i just feel like i don’t even have the energy to talk to them all the time now because everything’s so draining. you’re one of the few things that always makes me smile. you never feel like too much you’re just always there. i listen to your music all day every day because my mind wanders too much in the silence. this is me trying literally means the entire world to me, and i guess maybe you know that now which is crazy. it just perfectly describes my last couple of years. nobody understands how hard it is to just get up every day. and no, sometimes maybe my best isn’t enough, but at least i’m trying. it’s been so hard to even try my best tho lately. i don’t know, taylor, but i love you so much. you’re just my reason. @taylorswift @taylornation
