The giving and receiving of the lei, is the accepting of those gifting’s, accepting each other just the way you are, never taking each other for granted and taking each day, one day at a time.

Bride and Groom exchange & pour personal color of sand into unity jar
To begin this sand ceremony, please hold your respective sand containers. _______ sand is Pink in color and _______ sand is Blue in color, each of which represents you as individuals. I’ve taken the natural beach sand, placed on the bottom. Representing the foundation and roots of where this marriage began.
And as the grains of sand now begin to inter-mix with each other, so it is with your individual lives and as the grains will no longer stand alone, so it is now becoming one – never to be separated again.
