In Meriwether’s most perfect vision of an ideal day at work, things begin with some coffee and an old castle with sheep abundant. She lives in this old castle and works her way through the vault of medieval relics and manuscripts in the basement while accumulating contemporary pieces of art and compiling compendiums of things she thinks are interesting and related. Above is outfit inspiration for such a life.

DRESS FOR THE JOB YOU WANT ~ Wednesday Edition

My dream day at work begins with the all important and magical ham and gruyere croissant from my favorite local bakery and a stroll to work on a sunny and windy morning. On the way, Scott Schuman takes my photograph in glistening light and we laugh about fun(ny) fashion trends. At work, I consult and lifestyle coach, dream up lovely funerals and parties, and call Stella McCartney to weigh in on her latest shoe design. After work, I meet up with my best friend and we feast upon greek food and chat an absurd amount. On the way home, I gather flowers for my home and dream of the next day at work.

Wednesday and Meriwether were nominated for Best Actress, so we jumped into our best gowns and strutted straight on down the red carpet. Meriwether (left) wears a Chanel silver sequin gown with silver Jimmy Choo heels and a Jennifer Behr star crown. Wednesday goes for the classic Elie Saab gown in bloody sheer red. See you there!

Wednesday and Meriwether are tired of winter (aren’t you?), so they headed to the great world of art and dressed up as Vivian Girls in homage to Henry Darger. Both are wearing looks from Gucci’s Resort 2016 collection. Meriwether’s dress features a purple bow formed of flat sequins, and Wednesday’s outfit is fun and flirty with bows up her shins and fur on her elbows.

Meriwether finally got a set of wheels and brought this beauty home. We think we may call her Camilla (after St. Trinian’s venerable Camilla Fritton). We went for a joyride in Prada from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, and Wednesday topped it off with a Gucci jacket because she is a saucy minx.

Happy Halloween! This year Wednesday and Meriwether followed their decadent dreams and went as Marie Antoinette. Meriwether recently wrote a rather charming guide to the perfect Marie-themed party. 

Wednesday wears Vika Gazinskaya dress, while Meriwether dons a frock from the Chanel Versailles collection. Both wear Marc Jacobs shoes.

OH HELLO, AUTUMN. Do I feel you tapping on my shoulder with a light, brisk breeze? Wednesday (left) wears a Gucci SS16 coat with a Christopher Kane skirt and top, and Miu Miu dragon fly heels (a true staple). Meriwether wears a Christopher Kane Dress and Miu Miu SS16 booties.

So how do you create these?

Well, we are two-dimensional personalities with a trust-fund budget and a full-time photographer… Just kidding, we are amateur photoshoppers with a very expansive wish list and even broader imaginations. We are basically collaging together some of our favorite clothes and activities as a hobby.

Wednesday and Meriwether jaunted over to England last week to see London Fashion Week, and do a few obligatory touristy things. Wednesday wore a Miu Miu oython coat, Charlotte Olympia cat boots, and an angry Fendi bag. Meriwether swept through London in an organza cape by Erdem, trusty Miu Miu flats and an unbelievably plush Fendi purse.

Football season is in full swing again. I’m not sure Wednesday cares, but she’s a good sport, and a very stylish referee. Meriwether takes the field in Alexander Wang from his awesome SS10 collection, and a pair of Phillip Lim boots. Wednesday sports a Valentino dress, Chloe boots, and a Kate Spade turf purse.

Meriwether spent Labor Day weekend in New York City. Wednesday was there in spirit, wearing a Phillip Lim dress and Miu Miu booties. Meriwether sports Alexander Wang sunglasses, Mary Katrantzou dress, and Chanel peeptoe wedges.
