one of the really vile things about generative ai which i feel like we don’t talk about enough is that for like 90% of the cases where it’s used to generate text, image, video etc. THE EXPLICIT INTENT is to deceive the viewer/reader into thinking it’s NOT ai. what this does is to create an extra level of ambient distrust when viewing any kind of media not created by yourself and when you do notice that something is ai-generated, there is the implicit understanding that whoever “made” the ai-generated thing was trying to deceive you or take advantage of you. thus a kind of ambient paranoia is spread across society where everyone feels like everyone else is out to get them and that nothing is real.

Why does every cyclist act like it's their god-given right to mow down pedestrians? You guys are so desperate to be the cars in any scenario. Just because you won't kill someone doesn't mean you can just speed right through pedestrians dude what the fuck.

Like I'm sorry but if you're telling PEDESTRIANS that they CANNOT WEAR HEADPHONES while WALKING because you can't stop LARPing Lance Armstrong, you need to get a fucking grip. If you expect cars to slow down to 10mph on a major roadway because you want to ride your bike there, then you also need to adjust your bike to WALKING SPEED when you are cycling near pedestrians. Christ alive, what is wrong with some people.

And before anyone starts with me, YES CARS SHOULD BE SLOWING DOWN TO 10MPH, EVEN IF THE CYCLIST IS AN ASSHOLE WHO IS CYCLING ON A ROAD NOT BUILT FOR IT. It happens to me on occasion. Some cyclist will tease death by wanting to ride down a twisting country back road with zero visibility turns, and you know what? I slow the fuck down.

I'll be annoyed and complain about it and think they're dumb as fuck, but I'll do it while crawling along at 10mph because I'm not a freak who wants to physically harm someone for being annoying.
