The Weekly Vocajournal series is a series where I note any vocal synth songs I've listened over the past week (focusing on recently-released songs), and maybe give some impressions. Edit 23/04: New entries will be published here instead of my main!

Weekly Vocajournal #86 (01/05 - 10/05)
Trying to get back to doing this somewhat regularly!
arei/ฮre1 - ฮฆ (ft. Kaai Yuki)
A more polished version of the Mushoku Toumeisai entry, with a gorgeous PV to boot. Big fan of the producer on backup vocals, and just the better mixing on this version.
Weekly Vocajournal #85 (Vocacolle 2025 Summer Special)
So many songs, as usual... The Yukari entries have been queued on the Yukari songs blog.

Sukehan - Sillage
Genuinely surprised how many Yukari V6 entries there are! Probably my favorite use of V6 yet, and thank you sabiwo for the gorgeous MV.
Weekly Vocajournal #84 (04/08 - 10/08)
Going out of town for the next 2 weeks so probably no entries then.
nekoma - toxo (ft. Meika Hime)
Lots of really good stuff this week but I wanna highlight this really cool trance piece from an artist that's new to me! Hime's soft voice really fits the atmosphere.
Weekly Vocajournal #83 (28/07 - 03/08)
ROY - Starry sky (ft. Gakupo)
Happy birthday Gakupo (31/07)! Also check out the Gakucollab 2025 Playlist.
Weekly Vocajournal #82 (21/07 - 26/07)
Kurousagi - GOAT! (ft. Kurousagi, Ci flower, Kasane Teto, KAFU)
I'm always a sucker for vsynth-human songs, and this eclectic combo of voices hits the spot. A new producer for me to keep track of, since everything except the tuning is their own work! Props for kisara, yasai31 and null for the tuning, everyone sounds great.
Weekly Vocajournal #81 (14/07 - 20/07)
id - Mayoikonda Haikyo ni te (ft. IA CeVIO, Chis-A, Yuzuki Yukari Rei)
Underrated producer I just found a few days ago! Beautiful tuning and compelling song structure for the trio.
Weekly Vocajournal #80 (07/07 - 13/07)
Haruno - Onigokko (ft. Luo Tianyi JP)
Been looping this and the selfcover ver. for the past week or so, so it takes this spot. Chill, catchy and funky, and a nice surprise finding r-906 in the PV credits (which is also great! Very moody.) Thought I found a producer new to me, but then I saw Deep Coma in his YT page and realized I just haven't followed him.
Weekly Vocajournal #79 (23/06 - 06/07)
Got sick and headphones broke... disaster week. Not for the songs tho, they're great.
Jamie Paige, OK Glass - BIRDBRAIN (ft. Kasane Teto SV)
Probably one of the biggest songs in this two-week span, and for good reason! Great animations and relatable lyrics to a catchy tune. This post is far more eloquent about all the great things this song is doing.
Weekly Vocajournal #78 (16/06 - 22/06)
Ekusii - Tele. (ft. Kasane Teto SV, Nurse Robot_Type T)
I've been hitting gold with Youtube's reccomendations on producers I haven't heard before in recent weeks, and this takes the cake for the week. Glitchy yet polished electronic music and some of the best rap section I've heard in a vsynth song for a while. Love the contrast between Teto's vocals for the singing and rap parts as well.
Weekly Vocajournal #77 (09/06 - 15/06)
Teyo - Seigetsu no Koe (ft. Kagamine Rin)
I would usually put songs like this in the top parts of the "Other Cool Stuff" section because I struggle to articulate what it is I like about it. Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for glitchy acoustic guitars, or soft Rin tunings, or maybe the quiet melancholy hit just right. Putting it at the top so more people give it a chance and maybe like it too.

Weekly Vocajournal #76 (02/06 - 08/06)
qup - Imprint Rant (ft. Kaai Yuki)
It's nice to hear Kaai Yuki in these stylish electroswing/jazzy rock songs. First time with this producer, and the rest of their songs are pretty great too. One of the greater finds this week.

Weekly Vocajournal #75 (26/05 - 01/06)
Fujiwara Hagane - Vulthoom (ft. vflower, Kasane Teto SV)
This slightly-off version of Cinderella really strikes the "story MV with vsynth characters" itch! Love Teto's perpetual shit-eating grin. Based on a short story by the producer.

Weekly Vocajournal #74 (19/05 - 25/05)
Lots of new vsynths (to me, at least) this week.
dama - Slow Stomp (ft. Nurse Robot_Type T, Merrow)
These more electronic pieces are probably my favorite from this producer, but that's not to say the rock influence doesn't come through, that bass is killer. Relaxing and contemplative.

Weekly Vocajournal #73 (12/05 - 18/05)
Watched the Miku pjsk movie recently! Still manages to be enjoyable even with minimal pjsk knowledge, or maybe I'm just starved for a proper live concert...
Loin/Ryo Haruka - If I Could Be(lieve) Your Voice (ft. Hatsune Miku, Ryo Haruka)
Happy 10th anniversary to Loin's musician journey! This made me look up my first run with him, Europa, and he's sure evolved since then. A song and PV with a lot of heart and emotions put into it.
Weekly Vocajournal #72 (28/04 - 11/05)
Happy birthday vflower (09/05)!
Mata Setsunai Sekai o Ikiru - Abductor (ft. vflower)
It's also Mata Setsu's birthday apparently, so happy birthday for both! Hope flower's comfy under that bed.
Weekly Vocajournal #71 (21/04 - 27/04)
Aa - Noise (ft. Adachi Rei)
Love the Suisou quotes in the song! This was apparently part of an UTAU upload event on NND, here's some more songs from that I liked.
