Mod Info: 23 // She-Her // A blog dedicated to celebrating characters and ships of the Ratchet and Clank series!! ^^ Challenge weeks are open to all those in the Ratchet and Clank fandom, and we are an inclusive group (LGBTQ+ and minority groups are welcome) // Current Event: General Ratchet Ship Week
Tal Week is now officially over! If you have late submissions, don't be afraid to tag me in them, bc I still accept stuff after the events are over.
Next up is Kit Apppreciation Week 2022, and I'll be releasing the prompt list for that soon. We'll need a quick breather first. Thank you all again for participating in the event, and we’ll see you soon for the next event!
Talwyn’s gotten a lot of flack in the past, so this blog will be starting off the new year with some Talywn appreciation! For those that love Tal and want a place to gush about here, this event will be dedicated to you. That’s right, Talwyn Apogee Appreciation Week is happening January 2nd through January 8th, 2022! :D
((Sidenote:
Because Talwyn has been a character that has gotten so much hate for a long while, the mod will be making sure that Tal fans will not get harassment on the posts they make for the event. Me being tagged in the post means that I will also be able to read the comments you get too, so if someone is harrassing someone for liking Talwyn, they will be issued a warning or banned from participating in future events if they continue to bash.))
I have a question regarding like, the Nefaris ship. Has anybody ever thought of a … Emperor Nefarious/rift!Elaris thing? because I think it's an interesting idea with a lot of potential for a good angst / dramatic drabble at least, but I've found nothing so far :(
Thank you for sending in an ask! ^^
I’ve seen one person make something for Emps and regular Reboot Elaris (I don’t know if they want their name revealed so I’m keeping them anonymous for right now). It’s an interesting idea, though I don’t know if Rift!Elaris would exist unless in an AU? The Rebootverse isn’t part of the main timeline, so Elaris isn’t part of the same timeline that RA takes place in. That’s a great idea, but I think you’d need to fanangle your way around canon to make it happen.
I’ve had an idea like that around the time the General Nefarious Ship week came out. My brain combined the most recent trailer at that time with the evil!Elaris idea, but nothing came of it (I’m a fan writer). It’s definitely an interesting idea, and I see the angst potential on top of the evil!Elaris being just as cruel as Emps is. Or even, having the Reboot Nef and Elaris somehow meet Emps and Rift!Elaris in some way and seeing how terrifying they can be when both of them are at the height of villainy.
You’ve got a great idea, and yeah, I definitely support this kind of take and what fans can do to play around with it! :D Again, thank you for the ask!

HARD AND FAST RULES FOR THE EVENT:
1) Please keep things SFW.
2) Please keep character bashing to a minimum. The main focus should be on Talwyn, and while other characters can act as antagonists or bullies to create conflict in a story or art piece, it is advised that character bashing is not heavily leaned on.
3) Please do not send hate to the content made for this event. The mod will be watching for hate, and those that bash the content created will be banned from future events.
4) Please respect each other and keep personal drama during the week of the event to a minimum. The mod is also held to the same standard. If there is discourse between participants, the aggressor will not have their works supported from the mod and will be banned from any future challenges.
5) PLEASE TAG THIS ACCOUNT (@weeksofratchetandclank) WHEN POSTING YOUR PIECE! This way, the mod may see the posts and support them appropriately. It also helps the mod collect the pieces for the final masterpost.
If anyone has any questions, my PMs and ask box are open, and I will try to answer any questions as best I can. Until then, I wish good luck to those that would like to participate. It’s Talwyn’s time to shine come next month, and we’ll be kicking off the new year with her! We’re excited to see what you all create for the Markazian elf girl! :D
Hey, y’all! It’s kind of general knowledge that after General Ratchet Ship Week in July, I fell off the face of the Earth. There were two reasons for that. 1) The sudden shoutout from Insomniac and boost in community submissions was something I was unprepared for and had a hard time keeping up with. It also didn’t help that I stacked two events a week apart from each other. 2) There were months after Rift Apart’s release where people were harassing each other and I didn’t want to promote positivity-based community events in a place where there was a lot of fighting.
Now that Rift Apart has been out for months now, and with some quiet in the community, I feel like it’s time for some community events to help lift spirits and let people gush about the characters they love!
First up........... Talwyn Apogee Appreciation Week! :D

Before I release Tal’s Week sheet, there are some reminders and rules that I need to reiterate. [Below Cut to save on length]
1) Do not tag this account in any post that is not specifically made for this event.
I’m very lax with how much your post matches up with a prompt. For the most part, if there’s even the slightest match-up with anything in your post, I’ll have it reblogged/retweeted. The issue is that I am not just reblogging random things that are of the character or ship that is there. For the people that want to have their submission reblogged, please tag this account. If OP has forgotten, but clearly stated that they made something for the week, then it’s fine for someone to tag this account in the comments. Other than that, the OP is the one who is meant to make the tag. I do not reblog content that isn’t made for the community events, because if I reblogged everything made for that character at the same time as the community event, it would sort of defeat the purpose of making prompt lists and squish out those who made specific content for the event.
Like I said before, I’m pretty relaxed with how much your content matches with the prompt. If the prompt is “Warmth” and there’s a candle in the background, I’d count it. But if the content was not made for the community event and the OP isn’t tagging me or stating that they made it for the event, then I won’t be reblogging it
2) I’ve relaxed the rule about reblogging reposted art.
For art reposters, this rule is not for you. This rule is for artists that made something of a character or ship, but just missed getting it into the community event. Example - if you draw a Rivet piece, but are a few days short of a Rivet Appreciation week starting, then I’m okay with the artist making a separate post with that same art that tags me. I won’t be reblogging stuff from years prior, but if you as a content creator have something you made within the past three-to-four months of the event and want it to be counted, then I will reblog your reposted art. This is a rule for only the people that make the content. If you repost art with or without credit and try to tag me, your post will be made known to the original artist and will not be reblogged during the week.
3) Insomniac is not going to notice every event I make.
I do not work for Insomniac, nor am I someone that is associated with the company. I am just a long-time fan of their games putting together community events in my free time and managing them as best I can. So, Insomniac isn’t going to look over everything I reblog. They only looked at this account because of Rivet week, and how people’s content could be used as free advertising for their shiny new game. They’re not going to reblog a ton of ship art, as they never have to my knowledge of following their accounts, and their attention is going to be selective.
I’m not here to get attention from them, nor am I a conduit for letting them see your pieces. I’m here to make comunity events that people within the community will enjoy and will make events that Insomnaic won’t look at. I’m here for y’all. You do what you want when it comes to gushing about the characters and ships you love. What they choose to reblog or share is up to them, and it’s something I have zero control over. Don’t come into the community events thinking that you can use the event to get Insomniac to notice you, because their attention is difficult to get and they won’t be looking at every event I hold. Even I have no idea what they’ll be looking for, so I make what I think will be fun for the fandom to do.
4) What kind of content I reblog for the events
Fanart
Fanfic
Video edits
Screenshot edits (more than putting a filter on)
Screenshot stories
Artists reposting old art (stuff made up to four months prior the start of the event)
Original music
Screenshot spreads (three to four pics that showcase more than just the character posing)
What content I don’t reblog:
Singular screenshots
Stolen fanart or content
Long ago made fanart
Works that were not made for the event
Works that were not tagged by OP (works that state but forget to tag are okay to have someone tag me
5) Do not make inappropriate comments towards creators on their works.
I am not the fandom’s referee. I’m not going to go onto a random post and demand that you be nicer to someone. HOWEVER, if you make an explicitly sexual/rude/character or ship bashing comment on a post that was tagged for the community event, I will issue you a warning and an ask to stop. For the explicitly sexual comments (such as “Oh, this character is mad bc they aren’t getting [Explicit sexual act]”) are completely unacceptable. If the content creator is a minor, you could get into serious trouble for making a comment like that on their work, let alone making them exceptionally uncomfortable. The community events are SFW. If you make inappropriate comments on the event works, you will be asked to stop and be issued a warning. Continue making innpropriate comments, and you will automatically be banned from the events.
And finally, the most important rule in this fandom where a lot of people have gone after each other because of which characters they like, IF YOU CHARACTER OR SHIP BASH ON A WORK MEANT FOR THE EVENTS, YOU WILL BE ISSUED A WARNING. CONTINUE BASHING, AND YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM PARTICIPATING IN EVENTS. The events are based in providing a positive, inclusive (as inclusive as can be; this account does not accept hate speech as inclusivity) environment for people to share content for their favorite characters and ships. You will most likely see events for characters or ships you do not like. If you leave rude comments on event pieces and try to shame a creator for liking a ship or a character on that post, you will be issued a warning or banned from participating in future events.
That’s all the rule updates I have. I know this was long, but I’ll be implementing these for when the next event comes up and linking this post to those that ask questions. Twitter doesn’t have an option to make a FAQ page, but I’ll try to make a FAQ page for this blog (I have minimal knowledge in coding so I’ll be doing my best). Thank you all for reading and your patience in me, and the Talwyn Week prompts will be coming shortly! :D
@weeksofratchetandclank Day 5 (2.0) Snuggles//Warmth, or being left behind.
/!\ Angst/Drama /!\
This scene can follow two different ones:
The first one; Ratchet faced a boss, a big aggressive robot, really dangerous, hence his significant injuries. But once the robot is defeated, the latter explodes in very soon, a minute or two, having a countdown, and neither Ratchet nor Clank have time to flee from where they are, with Ratchet being too weakened and Clank no longer having its functional wings.
The second; It follows a crossover I imagined with The Last Of Us, where the Dimensionator takes Ratchet and Clank to another dimension than Rivet's ... And one day, they're faced with several clickers and a shambler. The fight is long and hard, and even if Ratchet and Clank manage to overcome it, helping each other, no relief comes. Indeed, Ratchet is injured ... and has been bitten. They know what it means, and Clank panics, as Ratchet tries to reassure him. He will ask him to kill him as soon as he starts to "change". Thing that will not happen, Ratchet will be immune ...

@weeksofratchetandclank Day 4"Here, Kitty, Kitty...", or the only person who can call Ratchet with this nickname.
Mao is an OC from movieverse, after events of Life of Pie. As the events of the series progress (because in an other dimension, there's a Ratchet and Clank TV show), Ratchet and Mao become closer and closer, eventually falling in love. This kiss is their first ...

A reminder post for those that are reblogging their art under the announcement post from yesterday:
To keep things organized, I reblog separate posts (posts that were first posted by you) that tag this blog. If it is reblogged from/attatched to the announcement post, I won’t be reblogging it.
