We all love the Dunya.

We all love the worldly life and all the glamour it contains, from its cars, to its houses, to its wealth and all the luxuries it has to offer. We desire its riches, its comforts and the sparks of happiness it brings. We love it. It’s a fact none of us can deny.

Yet the sad part about it is, as much as we love this world, it will never love us back and only ever run away from us. The truth is, this world will only ever tempt you, tease you and eventually break your heart.

You see, no matter how much of the world’s treasures you acquire it will never satisfy your desires. It will never make you content and you will almost always wish for more.

For almost every time the world offers you something of value, it will quickly divert your attention to the next best thing. It will make you long for the next bigger house, the next faster car, the next phone, the next pay rise or job promotion. It absorbs you into a rat race that will never end.   

If you want happiness, if you want joy, if you want true fulfilment. I make oath by Allah that there is no other way to find it except through Him, Allah. The creator of the Heavens and the Earth.

You see, Allah is the one who created love and happiness and has made it only possible through Him.

When he says explicitly in the Quran “Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest”.(Quran 13:28)

And every other place you seek happiness in that is in absence of Allah, will only leave you empty and miserable.

As Allah has said “And those who turns from my remembrance will have a miserable life”.(Quran 20:124)

May Allah make us from those who turn to Him. May Allah make us among the righteous ones. Ameen.

What does it mean to ask for Allah's Forgiveness?

Allah is At Tawwab, The One who beckons for our return. He repeatedly turns mankind towards repentance should they journey temporarily on the wrong path. He is The Acceptor of Repentance, The Oft-Forgiving, The Acceptor of our return.

Allah is lenient and restores grace to those who repent and forgives those who seek forgiveness.

“Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than anyone of you is pleased with finding his camel which he had lost in the desert.” (Al-Bukhari)

To repent means to return to Allah and intend to obey Him for the rest of one’s life. For repentance to be valid and, thus, accepted, five preconditions have to be observed; these are:

1. To be sincere to Allah.

2. To regret one’s past evil deeds.

3. To give up sinning.

4. To make a firm resolve of avoiding such sins in the future.

5. To show repentance while it is still valid.

Forgiveness for one’s sins is not something that comes automatically; it is something that must be sought for, with sincerity and true devotion. Becoming indifferent to one’s sins is fatally dangerous. 

May Allah forgive us all and guide us to the straight path. Ameen.

You might be far from Allah, but, He is close to you! Turn to Him and you will find Him.❤

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

Allah the Almighty said: I am as My servant thinks I am (1). I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a cubit, and if he draws near to Me a cubit, I draw near to him a fathom. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed. (1) Another possible rendering of the Arabic is: "I am as My servant expects Me to be". The meaning is that forgiveness and acceptance of repentance by the Almighty is subject to His servant truly believing that He is forgiving and merciful. However, not to accompany such belief with right action would be to mock the Almighty. It was related by al-Buhkari (also by Muslim, at-Tirmidhi and Ibn-Majah).

Do You Feel That Allah is Being Unfair with You?

Life is a test.

I’m sure you’ve heard this phrase a thousand times in the past, and it doesn’t always make you feel better, but let’s look at it from a different perspective.

Say for example that you are taking a test which you did not prepare for, and resorted to cheating on the test, and the teacher catches you in the act, yet forgives you and allows you to continue, you will pass the test, but you didn’t pass the test fairly.

If Allah lets everything you do wrong slip through, and you don’t ask for forgiveness of those wrong doings, you will not pass the test of life. On the Day of Judgment when He asks you about your sins, what would you say to Him? Would you say:

“But Allah, you let me go through life without punishing me for it, so I thought You didn’t mind!”

But did you ask Him to forgive you for those acts?

Did you know that Allah starts every chapter in the Quran with “In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.”, with the exception of Chapter 9 – Surat At-Tawbah, meaning “The Repentance”?

This introductory verse of every chapter serves as a reminder to all who read the Quran that He is Most Gracious, and the Most Merciful.

Sometimes we need that reminder when we are feeling down about something we’ve done, or something that we are going through.

He wants us to know that anything is possible through Him, if we just seek Him out for His help and forgiveness.

Let’s not act like we are all perfect. There’s always room for improvement within ourselves. Make them improvements before it’s too late.

Frequently posting your private life on social media can lead to social comparison (where people compare their lives with others). This can lead to mental breakdown.

Well only people who value privacy would know the joy that comes from it.

One shouldn’t become an open book which can be read by anyone.

It is not at all necessary to share every parts of our lives with other people especially people we don’t know and don’t even care about us.

People are on social networks for different reasons. Some are there to spread goodness. Others are there to have just fun. And some are there to con you and to dupe you and others are there just to abuse you. So be careful.

Let us not be from amongst those who are doing wrong. Let us be from amongst those who are there in order to maintain perhaps our family ties, perhaps to find out what’s happening to our friends in a beautiful way and to spread the message of goodness whenever we have a chance and  in whatever way we can for as long as it thought of quite clearly and it is the best chosen method.

As Allah Subhana Watala says,

"When you call towards the path of the Almighty, choose the most wise of all methods." (Surat Nahl, Qu’ran 16:125)

And when you engage people in discussion, make sure it is the most powerful or the best of ways. So this would apply even when we are interacting with one another when it comes to social networking and so on. The difficulty we have after we’ve created a profile, we have friends. So we choose friends, we allow friends and people befriend us. The type of friends you choose is extremely important. It will shape your peace or it will break it. This is why those who have chosen bad friends. SubhanAllah. May Allah protect us all from that.

If you have problems, or you’re feeling sad & depressed know that Allah is always there to listen to us. Even if you don’t have anyone to talk to Allah is waiting to listen to us. The mercy of Allah outweighs all our problems. We need to turn to Allah & rely on Allah. In every moment of your life remember Allah.

“ Our Lord! Accept from us this (service); verily You alone are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.” (Al Baqarah 127)

1. This du`a was read by Ibrahim and Ismail (peace be upon them) when they completed the building of the Ka’bah.

2. The lesson is that a person must not be satisfied with actions only. Rather, after the action, be humble and beg Allah to accept it. This is taught from the action of Prophet Ibrahim. After completing such a lofty action he does not express pride, rather he asks Allah I to accept the action.

Do not lose hope because of the trials you face. Trials are either an expiation for sins or a means of raising one’s degrees in Allah’s sight. And scholars mention that our trials are filled with subtle blessings that we do not perceive but that are nevertheless there. Trust in Allah and accept His decree, while fully striving to alleviate the situation.Allah Most High states, “Perhaps you may hate something, yet it proves better for you” (2:216).

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The supplication of my brother Dhun Nun (Yunus, peace be upon him), who called on Allah while in the whale’s belly: ‘There is no deity but You. Glory be to You! Verily, I have been among the wrongdoers’ (Quran 21:87) – no Muslim person says it, for any situation whatsoever, except that Allah Most High answers his call.” [Tirmidhi]

“O Allah! There is no ease except that which You make easy, and indeed You, when You want, make difficulties easy.” [Sahih Ibn Hibban]
