There was this one time some friends and I decided to go explore a corn field by our neighborhood (you know, as midwestern children do). It was a fun time, one friend decided to travel via somersaulting and rolled strait into poison ivy even. But out of nowhere this truck pulls up with some dude driving and a farmer standing in the bed and starts yelling at us for trespassing. If that wasn’t threatening enough to scare us, the dude pulls a SHOTGUN OUT AGAINST 3 SEVEN YEAR OLDS. He fired it into the air, but we were already sprinting back to the neighborhood. To make sure we got out of his field, he and his buddy really chased a bunch of seven year olds as we RAN FOR OUR LIVES. Eventually we split and dove into the yards of different houses and the farmer wielding his shotgun and his chauffeur driving went back to whatever barn they crawled out of. After they left we all went home, a bit mentally scarred. To this day my family brings it up every now and then.
