Lately, I feel like I’m in a bad dream that I can’t seem to wake up from. My life was starting to get better—not perfect, but I had begun to gain independence, and it seemed like things were going to improve. Then two earthquakes struck and destroyed half of my state. And I know I should feel grateful that I’m still alive and have a roof over my head, but I can’t help feeling so sad. And that makes me feel guilty, even though I know I shouldn’t.

Hi, a friend of mine recently lost a sister and her home after the earthquakes that hit our hometown (La Guiara, Venezuela). My friend and her dad were rescued under their building and now we’re raising funds to help them
