After finishing her food, Raven gently pushed her plate into the middle of the table. “Thank you for letting us have Granny’s tonight, but I still prefer your cooking.” She chuckled as her phone went off, seeing it was her best friend she quickly answered it. Her boyfriend had dumped her. After she had calmed her down, she hung up and looked at her mom.

“Mom, can Ash stay over tonight?” She asked softly.

Regina sipped at her wine and sighed happily. “While I do enjoy cooking, and your compliments, sometimes it’s lovely to have someone else do it.” She laughed. Her smile dropped as her daughter answered her phone and spent the next bit of time calming her friend down on the other line. When Raven hung up, the mayor raised her brows expectantly. “It’s a school night so no staying up too late, but if her parents are alright with it, then I’m fine with it. I’ll tell Henry to spend the night at Emma’s.”

“They didn’t clean them?” Alice spoke, frowning. “What will happen when I do get out? I’ll have to find a job.. I’ll have to live in an inn..” She sighed. “I haven’t even gotten out yet and I’m planning my life.. They didn’t check any pockets? There’s nothing? What did my clothes look like?”

Regina didn’t think the girl would ever leave so she didn’t concern herself with future worries. “Oh don’t mind all that now dear, we need to focus on your recovery at the moment.”

"Mushrooms, poppies, sugar, and spice. All those things are very nice. When combined, the proper mixture makes a getting small elixir." Alice read to Regina, from one of her books. "Hmm. I don't much like sweets.. except cake." (this is after Alice gets out of the asylum, living with Regina as her caretaker.)

Regina froze with the words but when she glanced over her shoulder, she found the young woman was just reading from a book. Ever since Regina had worked out the girl was Alice from Wonderland, she had been careful to keep her from remembering too much. Alice was a Queen killer, but could be useful if she was controlled. Regina had taken her in as a ward to make sure she’d be of use.

"A perfect guest does not overstay; A perfect guest stays home.." Alice was speaking to herself, scribbling on the wall. "Home.. home.. where is home? A place to live? No.. a family. Family?.. Don't leave us alone, Alice. Don't abandon us.. again... Mother? Father? Lizzie.. open the door.. you'll burn! Burn... Fire.. What?.. Dinah!" She'd come to her senses. "I didn't leave the lamp in the library! Dinah didn't knock it over!" She dropped her pen, stepping away from the wall.

Regina watched the young woman over the monitor. It seemed she was starting to get...something back. Since the mayor had no idea who the girl’s true identity was, she had been carefully observing her. They had slowly been introducing things that might stimulate her into something. Now she watched as a few nurses rushed in and began to scold her for writing on the walls. Regina moved from the observation room to her cell. She waved the nurses away and stepped in. “My dear, you mustn’t write on walls, it’s not appropriate.”

“I’ve heard you have been challenging Victoria. That’s ballsy. How do you do it?” Lacey asked, taking another swig of water.

Roni knocked back a shot before shrugging. “With help of course. There’s a small group of us fed up with her bullshit to be frank.”

He glanced up, looking at her curiously. “What do you want?” he asked, then busied himself momentarily as he fiddled with a project he’d been working on. Tinkering with objects had always calmed the man down.

She watched him fiddle and resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Always had to busy his hands. “I need to influence one of the council members to vote my way. I know you’re a member of the town council and you certainly have quite a persuasive nature, I was hoping you could be of help.”

“I hope one day I can love someone that much, and have someone love me the same.” She admitted softly loving her mothers description of true love. “Someone who will be beside me through the toughest of battles.”

“Oh I’m sure you will sweetheart! According to the fairies there’s a true love out there for everyone.“ Of course, she had lost hers, but she had her children now, and that helped.

“Yes that’s.. that seems about right. I suppose I owe you a thank you for helping me stay safe, Ms Mills. Did I have any belongings with me? Anything that might help trigger my memories?.. Will I ever be allowed out?”

Regina shook her head. “Sadly all you had were your clothes and they were filthy the nurses tossed them.” She paused. “Well dear, we’ll have to see. It isn’t good for your health to let you out too early when you’re not properly ready. The doctors will continue to keep an eye on you.”

//Ugh, I feel dreadful, I blame my actors. I’m going to try and get to replies but please be patient with me.

“Remembering who I am? I know perfectly well who I am!.. don’t I?.. I’m.. I’m… Uh..” she swore, looking around her room. “Where am I? This feels familiar..” She stood, walking around the room, looking out of the window in her cell. An unfamiliar land… She looked back to Regina. “Do you know anything about me? Something to help me remember?”

Interesting, so the curse wasn’t slipping for this girl, though it seemed she had no memories at all. Good, that made her pliable. Her fake smile melted into a concerned frown. “Oh my, still unsure who you are. It’s alright dear you’ll get it back eventually.” She carefully shifted closer. “Sadly I do not know who you are either, you were found wandering outside the town, our doctors brought you in and have been working to keep you lucid, you seem to slip out of full consciousness often.”

“What can I do for you, Madame Mayor?” Rumplestiltskin looked down, feigning boredom as he picked at one of his nails. “Surely you know that I’m a very busy man.” he added with a sigh, looking back up and at the Mayor with a little smirk.

Regina cocked a brow. “Never too busy for me Gold.” Her words were cool, but the grin was genuine. “I need a favor.” She moved over to the counter and leaned casually against it.

As soon as the woman entered her cell, the girl on the bed opened her eyes. Wide as pinwheels. Her gaze locked on the older woman and she sat up, moving away from her. She did not feel safe here, at all. Especially with unfamiliar women in the room with her. “Stay back. I don’t know you. Introduce yourself!”

Regina plastered onto her face one of her fake smiles, a popular one she used as Mayor. “I’m Ms. Mills, don’t worry dear, I’m not hear to hurt you. I’ve been keeping an eye on your case. The doctors say you’re becoming more lucid these days. That you might start remembering who you are.” She decided to poke at the girl’s memory. Some of those she kept down there hadn’t been cursed as well and old memories liked to slide back.

Easily he slipped his arms around her waist, giving her a small smile once they pulled away from the kiss. He gave her hips a gentle squeeze, the smile never once leaving his face. “Well at least you are home now. I’ll crack open a bottle of wine for you to enjoy while you relax and let us cook you dinner.” Secretly, he had Granny teaching him how to cook. “And later I’ll even draw you a bath if you want one. The boys are good, they are off reading one of Henry’s comics together. Or at least that’s what they told me they were going to do.” He answered, flashing her one of his dimpled smiles. Roland so easily fell into the role of little brother as if he had always meant to be the youngest.

Regina let out a long, happy sigh. “Wine and food sounds lovely.” She loved how well she fit in his arms, how perfectly they held each other. The magic of a soul mate. Then she realized something he had said. “Us? You’re going to cook?” She couldn’t help the chuckle. “Please tell me us is Henry too.” A cheeky smile curved her lips. His comments about the boys turned it from cheeky to warm. “I’m so happy to hear they’re having fun.”

“I like you. I’ll do that. Could you help me sober up a little while we wait. I don’t want to seem completely trashed.” Lacey admitted.

With a quick flourish Roni had pulled away her glass and set a new one down with water. She had prepared a cup as the other woman had been talking just in case.

“I wonder if he realised what he was asking to get into.” She tried to joke softly. “Wanting to marry you and potentially raise the most stubborn children in any realm.”

Regina laughed. “He was the most patient man I ever met. The poor thing had to wait for the brief moments alone I had to even kiss me. Every time I thought it would get too frustrating for him, he assured me it was worth it.” Her voice trailed off. “That my dear, is true love.”

“A pleasure to meet you Queen Regina.” Loki purred her name. He smirked and stood a little closer to her. He moved to gently cup her chin. “And prey tell what does a queen like you desire~” He leaned in to whisper in her ear.

She just managed to not shiver with his closeness, thanks to all the times Rumplestiltskin got in her face. Holding completely still Regina smiled slowly. “I desire revenge, with every ounce of my being.” Perhaps this...God Loki was exactly what she had been searching for.
