wow i haven’t posted on this blog for almost a year
i started this months ago but i just finished this today. Here is the second batch of character sprites. Matthew, Petalclaw, Cloudmist, and Foxanne!
Another background done! :D This time it’s the outside of Sparkpaw’s den in the day, evening, and night.
For interlace and text, I have also been thinking about giving each character name their own unique font for a while now. I thought it could represent the type of character it fits them and I haven’t really seen anyone do it before. I hope I can do it with Ren’py!
Casting call coming soon!
I already started to set up the casting call project for this game and will be coming soon after I finish a few more art assets! There will be 10 roles available. I’m actually not 100% if I will use the voices for the first demo since I want to get the game out before 2019 but we’ll see about that.
Me when I have nightmare thoughts in my dreams where someone hurts my feelings or I think that sometimes my future will be terrible and my projects fail.

I also want to add about the backgrounds is that they will be all drawn by me. No stock photos or other people doing it since I’m a one person team. I don’t want to cut corners on the art assets because I believe that using real photographic stock pictures would look inconsistent compared to the character sprites and just looks lazy to me. i also think this would be hard to illustrate and show the world the game is in.
This will be the taskbar icon for Welcome to Stonewolf! The reason why Sparkpaw doesn’t have a face is that I was trying to do that kind of style (don’t know what it’s called though) where characters don’t have a face and it’s simplified and there’s no border.
I’ve also figured out how to get the custom mouse to show up and there is now placeholder art for the main menu screen! Ah, this visual novel is looking good so far~
Possible release date?
I’m hoping to get the first demo/build out this summer on Itch.io. It will cover the first day but oh boy I sure do have a lot of backgrounds to do. Oh yeah, I will also plan on have a casting call for the characters so there will voice acting in the first demo.
Some Sparkpaw sprites I finally made!
Hey! Long time no update! I'm still working on the game but progress has been slower because of multiple reasons (multitasking, school, having no motivation, procastinating, etc) but luckily I'm almost done with school for the year so I will have plenty of free time soon! For now here is a slight update with the logo with a version with a border outline because the uneven cursive bothered me and I noticed some small coloring and lineart errors.
I made an itch.io account just now! This is where I will upload Welcome to Stonewolf! for people to download and play. Maybe I could also release a early demo and the Doggie Tales comic as well if I even have motivation for work on more of that old comic.
A beach background I made for the visual novel and the first one I finished! Featuring daytime, sunset, and nighttime variations.
All the sprites I did for Windwave so far. My personal favorite that I did is the one where he’s blushing lol.
A custom cursor I was going to use for the game but I’m having trouble coding it into the game and it won’t show up on screen.

Five character sprites for Welcome to Stonewolf! Of course, I will also make many facial expressions for them but here is what I got done so far in terms of sprites. I'm 100% sure and fully decided that these 5 will have playable routes but I'm still deciding if there should be other characters with routes. If you want you can tell which oc of mines you want a route in the game. But now let's all appreciate them staring at your soul lol

The logo I will use for my visual novel. I tried to make it look somewhat simple, creative, neat, and clean. I hope it doesn't look too overboard.
