Just picked up another pair of Vans--I can't get enough of them! They're so easy to wear and go with so many of my outfits. I'm so in love with these Old Skool style that are entirely grey. Don't get me wrong, I love the classic black and white, but these are just amazing. One of my favorite things about vans is the ability to wear them throughout the year. These will look great with sun dresses/shorts and tees/jeans as sweaters. They go with so many options! Anddddd they were only $39 on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! That's what I'm talking about.

Coffee and a great pair of shoes: the only things I’ll ever need.

 Seriously though, these Mont Blanc sandals from @freepeople are the most comfortable, attractive pair of sandals I own. I adore them. They come in so many colors and they’re just fantastic. I love that they can be easily paired with a pair of pants, or dressed up with a jumpsuit/dress. Get them here.

Anyone that knows me also knows that I have a slight addiction to rings. I love them! In the case of finger jewelry, I don’t like to follow the “less is more” rule. One of my favorite things about the rings that I’m currently wearing is that they each come from different places and have different stories to tell. Some were gifts while the others were passed on to me from grandparents who have since passed on. I love that I’m able to keep them with me always this way. 

Sundance store has some of the most amazing jewelry I’ve ever seen. A few of the pictured rings came from their store/catalogue. I’m tempted to pick up another one every time I pass through.

If there’s one thing I have a growing obsession with--it’s plants. I’m so interested in the ways that they change throughout the year and how they differ so much from each other. They’re wonderful house decorations and can liven up almost any space. 

This particular shot comes from my walk to work. I always pass this large bush and I just love the colors of the leaves and the shapes.

I’m aware that many people believe that boots in general shouldn’t be a summer shoe. I have to disagree. I think a pair of knee high boots with a sun dress or some heeled booties with denim shorts can absolutely top off and outfit. 

I just recently purchased these from Steve Madden. They’re the Freebird ‘Lasso’, ($245) and they're totally awesome. White, semi-distressed leather and a small heel. Absolutely perfect with shorts, skinnies, a dress, a romper, anything really. 

I can’t even begin to explain how comfortable these are. I mean really, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Here’s a small collection of photos from my recent adventure to Anguilla in the British West Indies. 

Never in my life have I seen such beautiful water. I can’t even begin to explain how crystal clear and turquoise it was. These photos do not do it justice. 

Anguilla is a small island very close to St. Maarten and St. Thomas. It’s completely beautiful and the people there are amazing. They are so friendly and inviting. 

Probably my favorite part about this island is that while the population is only 15,000, there are more than 100 local restaurants. There’s not a single fast food, chain restaurant in sight. The food is INCREDIBLE. Everyday was a new food journey, and any self proclaimed epicurean needs to add Anguilla to their list of places to go. You can find all types of food there. Traditional Caribbean, French, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, etc. And it’s all so fresh and has it’s own interesting and unique flare. 

After spending a week on this perfect little island, I can’t ever imagine going anywhere else that could be more like paradise.

Appreciation post for my two favorite Boulder Cafés. 

Alpine Modern Café and Boxcar Coffee.

I love the atmosphere and surroundings of both of these charming little places in Boulder. They both have amazing pastries/food and even better, amazing coffee. 

I can’t lie, I am a Starbucks frequenter. But really that’s only out of need for accessibility and quickness. When I’m looking for a more relaxed experience, I choose one of these two places.

Ponchos might possibly be one of my very favorite fall fashions. They’re so versatile, and can be done in so many different styles.

I’m trying to ignore the fact that, yes, it is October 13th and the temperature is over 80 degrees. 

I’m trying to ignore that fact for many reasons, but one of the most important of those reasons is that I’m just dying to start wearing coats again. I miss the feeling of bundling up in an oversized, but very cute, coat to stay warm.

It’s this coat in particular that I can’t wait to wear more. It’s so soft, and so incredibly warm. And it’s adorable! Two very important things for a coat to be. 

At this point in time, this is the only coat I have purchased for the season, but that WILL NOT last long. As soon as the temperatures are more allowing, I’ll be urged to buy new coats left and right. It’s a good thing Free People and Urban Outfitters both have a ridiculous amount of warm and awesome coats for this season.

I finally got around to posting a compilation of my favorite shots from our photo shoot with oato! I'm in love with all of these images! And the clothing in them! I have to say, as much as I LOVE the pretty paisley dress, my favorite outfit was definitely the vegan leather leggings with the sweater and skinny scarf. I love how simple the outfit is to put together, yet it looks good enough to wear out at night. The leggings give the pretty sweater a bit of an edge while the scarf just ties the whole thing together. Sweaters and leggings are always a stable outfit during the winter for me, and I think that these items in particular are able to take that outfit to the next level. Here's the first of many from our shoot with oato I love this picture with vibes from the 60s and 70s. As everyone says, everything comes back around. And I love what's around right now. Those two eras were great for fashion and Free People has done and awesome job of updating them and bringing them into modern times. I actually had to go ahead and buy this dress for myself because I love it so much.

Here’s another shot from the shoot we did with Erin Wheat a few weeks ago. 

I have a lot of things that I love about Fall, but I think my list topper is sweaters. I absolutely adore sweaters. Especially sweaters like this one, that have cozy cowl necks to curl up into when it’s so cold. (Side note, I guess I’m alright at acting, since it was actually 85 degrees out during this shoot. I think it looks like I could maybe be cold?) 

Either way, I’ve already purchased a good number of sweaters for the upcoming season and I am very (impatiently) waiting for the temperatures to drop so that I can actually start wearing them. Hopefully soon!

Something I've been wanting to do forever -- get my septum pierced! I finally did it! I really like piercings because I think they're a cool way to express individuality without permanency. I like tattoos, too! (I have one!), but I think that sometimes, when I'm need a change on the whim, that piercings are a cool way to go. They can always be taken out in the future if it happens to be something one decides they no longer want. Which is awesome! But for the time being, they serve as a cool accessory that can be changed and switched up. I already love this particular piercing, and I can't wait to be able to change out the jewelry for something more interesting!
