Thatās kinda crazy because I like really wanna watch them play lesbian wives in a Die Hard movie š
But wait which one would be the Bruce Willis role?
Oh boy I love this idea.
They both are.
One is an FBI field agent, the other a CIA analyst -in classic McClane fashionĀ they each fly cross country to the otherās FBI/CIA headquarters for a holiday party as a surprise. Of course when they arrive things go absolutely haywire and they both end up in the air ducts taking on baddies.
You know what, lets get them mildly out of their element so there can at least be some metaphorical glass to step on -Ā the analyst is trying to face a physical threat, and the field agent is desperately trying to solve a computer situation they know very little about (because problem solving is fists and shooting...sometimes costumes and sting operations, but mainly the punching and shooting).
In order to beat their baddies they have to keep calling each other to give/ask for advice on handling their respective situations and how they āREALLY need to work on how they communicateā because it is not the first time they tried to surprise each other like this, and also not the first time it backfired.
They end up with a Pseudo Sgt. Al Powell who instead of being over the radio is the operator that has to keep connecting their calls (theyāre in active fight zones and canāt keep track of/hands on the same phone for like more than one call) on different platforms/phones and numbers. His emotional scarring - instead of shooting a kid- is that he used to be a 911 dispatch and heard someone die over the phone because emergency services didnāt get there fast enough, so he switched to being a general operator (unsure if thatās even a thing anymore-I guess 411? whatever for these purposes itās still a thing and heās the guy).
They save each otherās HQās from certain destruction/data leaks etc. and no longer underestimate the others job because that shit was HARD. They also promise each other that next year theyāll plan their holiday trip together, one with less gunfire.
Final scene is them a year later celebrating their holiday together on a very much planned vacation (theyāve been working on their communication). Theyāre relaxing and of course some sort of crisis breaks out- they are both over itĀ but also weirdly psyched because even though its a chaos situation, they get to handle it together this year instead of from different sides of the country.
Bonus is their Sgt. Al Operator was at the same place they were on vacation and he just nopes out of there so fast because NOT AGAIN.
In my brain Charlize is FBI and Aisha is CIA- but it could honestly go either way.
Anyway.
Iāll just be over here watching this movie in my head until someone makes it
