The creature was a bit taken back by the man’s calmness.  Why wasn’t he petrified? The enormous beast towered over him, drops of black liquid falling from his mouth. Intimidating, yes. But to all? Apparently not.    “I have nothing to lose, only to gain. But do I really want to eat somebody as sickly as you?”
