if anyone told me i would gain and lose a favourite character in the space of a few months this year i wouldn’t have believed them. i didn’t think i had it in me to connect to someone fictional on such a deep level, but bea smith (and dan) reminded me how real my own struggles are, how much i still have to give even after going through a lot. she gave me courage and hope even during the darkest experiences and i will always love her and be thankful, regardless of how heartbreaking and unjust her end was.
