Dropping in again in CPH!
3 months into 2026 and I am proud to say that my 破釜成舟effort has paid of and I'm returning home after almost 3.5 years away. Life has been kind and the many things I've work towards are coming to fruition.
I am sure the 25 year old Wen would give 31 y.o. Wen a pat on the shoulder. Between now and then I've
bagged a supporting and nurturing husband
had a tour around life science consultancy,
moved to the UK for school, what more its the mecca for HE,
serendipitously, got to DK to NN HQ
had loads of fun flying around the globe from EU to CN to JP and BR
and most recently, found a job back in SG with a cushy package.
The globe trotting experiences challenged existing assumptions on how the world worked and how life should be. DK gave me a 世界不过如此 perspective. The 'adults' and 'big shots' are not that different from all of us after all, silly at times and highly fallible.
I have also gotten alil less chicken little. Not completely free off the bad habit of spiraling in negativity but I have figured the world allows people alot more bandwidth of error. Or rather I have gotten a tad more 两袖清风，佛在心中。
Growing up doesn't seem that bad after all. I have become less angsty, alil more appreciative and alot lighter. Enjoying every bit of being DINKs until I figured things have changed.
