This blog is dedicated to all things Werehog (and Sonic Unleashed in general). Posts can be anything, from Werehog and Unleashed art reblogged from the community to links to game mods related to the Werehog to even random anecdotes and shitposts. Box: I'm the one who started the blog. I've basically been obsessed with the Werehog, and Sonic Unleashed in general, since I first saw the game's cutscenes on YouTube as a kid. Aside from being a mod, I also write fanfiction (Though not for Sonic), make silly YouTube videos, and just in general existing as a weird chaotic eldritch horror who also has an encyclopedic knowledge of Sonic lore and werewolves.

#mod box writes a fanfic: Posts that chronicle me loredumping, writing, and talking about a piece of fanfiction I'm writing that heavily features the werehog, if not directly focuses on him.

After the end of yesterday's Sonic 35th Anniversary Livestream, Youtuber Sam Procrastinates (Who was in the live stream as a host/special guest) posted this picture to his Youtube community page. The contents of the exact contents of the post will be shared below.

Despite being a celebration of the donations during the stream, it, amusingly, contains one of the first proper images of the Werehog mascot costume for the first time in 18 years.

This costume was made during the promotion of Sonic Unleashed and appeared at various game shows throughout 2007 and 2008 to promote the game. It hasn't seen any use since then and many fans online speculated that it was scrapped due to the failure of Unleashed critically.

Apparently, it is not scrapped. And it seems to be rather well maintained for an 18 year old costume representing a rather controversial part of Unleashed.

Either that, or they made a new costume for the Werehog. But we'd need a proper ID between the two to be really sure. Make what you will of the Werehog appearing on stream yesterday during Sonic's birthday.

Game Mod: Flight of the Werehog

This is the second mod we're reviewing for Werehog Wednesday and...its a bit of a silly one. The way this mod works is very simple:

After performing a Sho-Hog-Ken(Y Y A/Triangle Triangle X) or a Sho-Claw-Ken(X X A/Square Square X), continue pressing A/X. This will essentially making Sonic be able to fly, as the continued A/X presses will continue sending Sonic higher and higher into the air.

I wish I could show footage of this...but alas, Xenia hates me and RPCS3 is a bit too slow for screen recording. So, have this funny video by the author.
